  • I read an awesome book on this very campaign, which I would definitely recommend to anyone who is interested: Death or Victory by Dan Snow.

  • we french would've had more hornouful defeat if it wernt to our stupid and foolish general: le Marquis de montcalm... peuh, he was a real fool, no aptitude in command....

    C'etait un imbecile...

  • I loved going here on my grade nine trip last year it was wicked !

  • Québec libre!

  • I wish France had won that war

  • Long live the Queen :)

  • The english attacked from a side French didn't tought they could be able to climb so there was almost 1000 French agaisnt 10000 English.

  • The red coat volley was so devastating because Wolf ordered each man to load with two musket balls each rather than the normal one. The french lines had advanced close enough that the reduced range of firing two rounds from each rifle was not a problem.

  • i like how u said dazed and confused, great song dude

  • I'm very sorry for all men from both sides that died to defend such a wonderful land. Canada is actually the most beautiful country in the world.

Where can I get the nice music on the background?

  • @TheStandofTheLastGuy But this had everything to do with Canada and the U.S...

  • humm, you got "one" thing wrong (sorta) the french retreated because the scotts higlanders charged them with swords just as the french were reloading. they had no chance to fight in melee with muskets, the confusion factore came later though.

  • The two countries have different names for this particular war. US history books call it the French Indian war. Canadian History refers to it as The Seven Years War. All would be undone a few years later when the American Revolution began. Setting the stage for a new great nation we now call The United States Of America. Soon after the Revolution they would try to conquer the areas which had remanded loyal to the crown. They lost. which created Canada. Another great Nation.

  • To continue my other post. The new USA would try to take upper and lower Canada during the war of 1812, But they were defeated. But they managed to hold on to most of their own home territory. After the war ended conquered grown was returned to the USA as agreed to by the peace treaty. The two countries would exist as hostile nabors till almost the end of the 19 century. And as friends and allies from 1900 till today.

  • @TheStandofTheLastGuy You are right and you are wrong. There was no Canada or USA at this time. It was Englands North American colonies battling Frances North American colonies for control of the continent. France lost Quebec but held on to Louisiana. It would be sold to the U.S some years later by Napoleon. Some of englands colonies would rebel a few years later becoming the USA. Some others stayed loyal to the crown, to become Canada.

  • amazing im subbing

  • do you realise that the french was compose of alllllllll the people in nouvelle france but they were posted on other position

  • god bless canada!

  • @1988scottcarey May the commonwealth live for ever!

  • the ratio of british to french troops is inaccurate

  • WAT ABOUT THE SCOTS LEADIN THE BLOODY CHARGE YAH FORGOT THATT!!

  • @redslownight yeah its true it was scottis troops that lead the charge aigainst us french but almost all the scots where kill

  • @koolerquebecer ya but its the scots.....

  • The cannons were firing before the infantry arrive.

I learned that from my history class in quebec.

  • Well done. It's very rare that you find a vid with this much attention to detail. I know adding natives would have been a problem, but some highlanders on the British side would be a good addition!

  • ehh the french general that command the french army was montcalm a governer of quebec city and it was james wolfe that commanded the british army and he also command his troops to place two musket balls in their weapons to make their fire power much stronger

  • I believe i have a final solution for this french problem

  • what map is this?

  • Je lève mon chapeau a tous ceux qui sont mort dans cette bataille afin de protéger notre culture, nos traditions et notre langue.

  • @themasterquebec Mon gars, je suis entièrement d'accord.

  • @benjani2k9

    Stfu hater

  • Montcalm musta been an awful general. The motherland weeps for him.

    Oh and: Vive Quebec libre!!

  • It's a very good personal interpretation, but there are a few variables missing:

    1) at the start of the battle, Montcalm opens up with a short barrage of artillery. (Wolfe didn't have any because they got broken on the climb up the cliffs)

    2) YOU DID FORGET the indians & French Milita in the treeline near Quebec

    3) WHERE ARE THE HIGHLANDERS? the 78th Fraser Highlanders led the charge but got gunned down before they reached the walls.

besides that, good job on the representation.

  • hey retard you can hear the highlanders and you can see them chase the french, gotta learn to look, but i do agree it was a great job

  • So why call him a retard you little punk?

  • I did because he is insutlting and cutrasizing something that was amazingly done

  • you for got the indian soldiers

  • wtf why did u just leve the brits standing there on second fire voley at start obviusly we would have fired bk

  • @98pokelover well you didnt so suck it up

  • LOL !!! so im guessing ur sum french idiot well 5 words for you french are a bunch of noobs!!!!!

  • @benjani2k9 The British didn't fire a volley back until after the second french volley when they were reloading, they waited for the french line infantry to get closer to for the mass volley to have more of an effect., so yes, they did fire after the second french volley.

  • ok thx was just wondering

  • very well done.

  • good vid btw i love this game

  • what game did you use because i want that game

  • Empire Total War

  • That's WOLFE with an 'E'!!!!

  • wrong map of choice the battle was fought in november snow already come out now the map is like warm

  • In fact, the exact date is 13th September 1759, the map is ok.

  • You're thinking of the retaking of Quebec by the French the following winter, when the British garrison under James Murray were guardians of a burned out husk of the remains of Quebec, desperately waiting on Supplies and reenforcenments from Britain.

  • i feel sorry for james wolfe he had terrible sicknesses throughout his lifetime and his officers and soldiers laughed at him and made comics about him but I see him as a great general the french canadians blew up his statue and changed it from "Here james wolfe died victorious" to "here james wolfe died" Poor wolfe also they paved over the british graveyard for dead soldiers in that fight but kept the french one damn french canadians

  • I know.. But it's not the french canadians you should blame but those foolish French Canadian seperatists. They're getting to the point where they're almost extreemist terrorists... In fact I think they had to cancel the Abraham reenactment this year due to Terrorist threats. Very sad because I actually wanted to participate in this years reenactment.

  • i hate the FLQ

  • French and indians fought braveley in this war.

shame we where absoulute bastards to them.

  • Please explain "we were absolute bastards to them".

I do not believe that is the way it happened considering their pussy king abandoned them.

Catholic subjects of a Protestant Kingdom? They should be grateful they were allowed to live as losers in this land and not evicted back to their cheese and baguette ghetto.

  • Because we arent rescist sectarian bigoted scum and mate i hope you die very soon, the world would be a better place.

  • Yes, yes, racist sectarian bigoted scum that always end up in Europe saving their asses... some gratefulness is in order !

  • hahahahha No it isnt we fought scum like you.

you wankers deserve to be shot, but that would be being just like you. never come to europe, ever....

  • Why go to Europe? do you have any nazi bombing the hell out of your grandmother and a broke government incapable of responding?

You can play macho with the frenchies but don't forget the only country that made you run downhill...

  • lol, what a fucking prick you are dont u realise I DONT CARE

  • lol? now you dont care?

What a pussy ! And you are not even British you are British pussy instead... stay north green midget !

  • rofl, come back when you actually have a clue about anything.

    what a nationalist.

  • well they were to us dont french slaughtered alot of unarmed english collinists in america so this was just were getting our own back especially since the spanish were giving it a go at until they were betrayed by the french and lots of there teritory had rebbeled like mexico

  • everybody fought bravely, and we were not absolute bastards to them. the french in quebec were allowed to retain their religion, their system of law, their land, their language, and were given the rights to expansion throughout modern day quebec and ontario while the protestant loyal subjects in the 13 colonies were restricted to east of the ohio river. in fact the quebec act of 1774 granting them all these rights was one of the "intolerable acts" that led to the war of independence.

  • @corneliusvanDB

    Good response! Vive le québec!!!

  • Actually we let the French get too much power after their defeat. Now Quebec cries like babies even during the Vancouver Olympics (a place where anyone who speaks French is in a tiny minority) because 99% of the ceremonies were not in Francois.

  • That really wasn't much of a battle, was it? Hmm...

  • lol its suposed to be 3200 quebecois vs 12000british and you forget to include that there was indian with french

  • no their were 4800 british

    and 4300 frence

  • hehe no! Il n'y avait pas 12000 british on the plaines.

  • Ah yes, typical French tactics at the end there. :P

  • why did they fall back at the end?????

  • Because it is historically accurate. The British volley in this reenactment was much less powerful than it was in the actual battle.

  • what do you expect, its just a game, and if it were any more effective the game wouldent be fair anymore would it

  • Actually...

  • @Daniel39363 I'm sure that the Redcoats lined in ranks of three.

  • @Rostokouban lets put it this way you and your buddies are standing together in a large group then some one comes by in a car aka a drive by and starts shooting at anyone on the street on which you and your buddies are on your first reaction is gonna be OH MY GOD then its gonna be RUN AWAY! since you will be confused and disoriented on what had happened

  • @guildcar come on they are soldiers, they have guns... this is war not the mickey world, they are here to fight...

  • @Rostokouban dude i take it u don't understand war the British had cannons as well as muskets if u know what cannons do then u know they cause smoke when they are fired also we have a field that has dust and dirt so if you cant see what is going on since dust is blocking ur view u are going to run away or in this way retreat and that is what happened (also drive by happen in real so these things actually happen in real life)

  • lol nice

  • cest tre bien!

  • this was fun to make!

  • 5/5*
