  • 3:04 = asking cops for directions to escape other cops... LOL FACEPALM*

  • The part where the good old boys van zooms past the police cars has to be one of the funniest things in movie history

  • No wonder the police are angry today if they couldn't keep up with 2 people.

  • I will pay someone $500.00 to recreate this chase in stop motion

  • "its 106 miles to chicago, full tank of gas, half a pack of cigs, its dark and we're wearing sunglasses" lol

    "hit it"

  • Steven Spielberg eating a sandwich. The film opens with Frank Oz with a "soiled" condom.

    STAY AWESOME! :)

  • why fast motion?

  • @mrchazylad

everythong that has benny hill playing goes in fast motion

  • Does this movie take place in the 1930s

  • i wish my cop car jumped 10 feet in the air when i stomped on the gas XD

  • That is a greate vid!

  • i came for 0:50, 1:50, the nazi's and the part where they stacked all the chairs, tables, garbage cans, etc.

  • @Thanato1815 Came from the movie The Blues Brothers.

  • @toysruskid06 how did somebody not know that, it's in the title!

  • @PDR52097 Thanato asked and I reminded him.

  • @toysruskid06 I know but what is with these scenes xD

  • Don't mess with the blues brothers music.

  • The foreign thing though, is that every last scene you have put in here applies perfectly with -his music-!

You guys do a great job tyrying to make this insanity seem ligitimate!

    Now, Where My onion?

  • The weird thing is- the concept actually works! Congratulations on having originality!

  • The weird thing is- the concept actually exists! Congratulations on accomplishing all that success!

But Benny Hill music is always best applied to the dance segments of half-naked white girls, and rediculous underwear foot persuits..

Stop trying to pigeon-hole the classics..

    And Bring back Hill's Angels!!

Jack and I miss them :(

  • @GH30wner

It was real they dropped the car from a cargo helicopter. Cg wasn't invented then. Pretty cool. There was a behind the scenes footage done on this movie. All of those car pileups and accidents were real. Real cars no computer in here.

  • @IncredableDrE all real car and stunt people no compunter old school flim

  • I wonder what i would do without blues brothers and benny hill .

  • Best. Car chase. Ever.

  • "its 106 miles to chicago, we got a ful tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, its dark and were wearing sun glasses"

    "hit it"

  • 2:29 They made it look so real :O

  • Normally modifications like this are crap; fine work!

  • 31 people (and counting) couldn't "hit it".

  • LoL

Hut! Hut! Hut! Hut! Hut!, only sped up!

  • the bridge to nowhere scene was filmed in milwaukee on the then un finished marquette interchange. a film crew member suggested it when he drove to chicago from the hotel he was staying at in wisconsin.

  • I heard they wrecked 76 policecars in this movie....only 76?

  • @metalw99 Well, yes and no. The crew of the movie purchased 60 ex-cop cars for use in this movie, beyond the 13 that were used to 'make up' the bluesmobile. However, they also ran a 24-hour body shop in order to repair cars. So, the number is probably both lesser, and greater, than 76, depending on how you count.

  • @MoonEyes2k still, a few more or less, ONLY???

  • Comment removed

  • Fabulous

  • they are chased by the police, cowboys in an rv, nazis in station wagons, police on boats, horses, helicopters, the military with tanks, soldiers, swat teams, snipers, mgs, and they go to illinois to recieve their reciept?

  • what if Dirty Harry came out of nowhere :) Feeling lucky.....PUNKS!!!!

  • i wonder how many cars they went through in this movie

  • @9SRIXON9 "The film used 13 different cars bought at auction from the California Highway Patrol to depict the Bluesmobile..."

"For the large car chases, filmmakers purchased 60 police cars at $400 each, and most were destroyed at the completion of the filming."

    So about 73 :P

  • HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • best scene in history. period.

  • funniest movie ever made!

  • thumbs up if you on a mission from God

  • The entire Cook County Police, SWAT teams, National Guard, The Good Ol' Boys, Uncle Bob, and Neo-Nazis. All after two guys who have a suspended license.

  • 1:44 - Half a tank of gas? More than that, Jake.

  • can someone please load the original

  • elwood's quote at the beginning. legendary.

  • I still dont understand what happened at 2:28 xD

  • so this IS the actual car chase? this is brilliant!

  • Brilliant! Simply brilliant!

  • no, sorry. you ruined it.

  • it costed the government millions of dollars of repairs over like a $30 ticket in those days. wt were those nazis chasing the?

  • @daywalkerkan Earlier in the movie the Blues Brothers drove through a Nazi rally and pushed them off a bridge.

  • it costed the government millions of dollars of repairs over like a $30 ticket in those days

  • Look like Chicago is gonna need a new fleet of police cars now.

  • Speeding tickets: Srs Business.

  • leave it at the normal speed

  • i can't stop laughing

  • Do not attempt to move or we'll be shooting ourselves!!!

  • Benny Hill song and the Blues Brothers chase scene--funny stuff...

  • Did you guys know that the clerk in the cook county assessors office that Jake and Elwood gave the 5,000 bucks to is Stephen Spielberg

  • They wreck 150 police cars during that chase

    Give or take a few

  • Grand Theft Auto series got nothing on this!

  • @FlammieLL well true

but that would be awesome a grand theft auto game with the blues brothers.

  • Best part at appx 1.53. All those police cars piling up on top of each other under the subway!

  • It's like when all your Hot wheels fall off course!

  • Princess Leia looks soo extremely hot in this movie it actually hurts how she turned out now!...That's old age for ya!

  • Greatest car chase...EVER!!!

  • Alone the mall scene did cost a couple mid sized houses

  • Brilliant! I would like to see what would happen if they were chasing terrorists.

  • looks like they got GTA six starred

  • and i thought Richard Kimbel had it bad, .....jeez

  • HOLY S**T IT'S STEVEN SPIELBERG!!!

  • nice - very very nice!

  • "Use of unnecessary violence in the apprehension of the Blues Brothers has been approved"

    Chicago cops. Gotta Love 'em.

    Or else.

  • haha so many police

  • funny

  • 2:08 Guy shooting at them has a nazi sign on his arm.

  • HOW THE F*** DID NAZI's GET INVOLVED

  • @inailboards Earlier on they almost ran the nazis over. It was freakin hilarious!

  • @TheJazzman7 Thanks

  • @inailboards go watch the movie lol

  • how many police cars can there be in chicago?

  • @kyawmawthu

    It's Chicago... In the 80s....

  • WHAT HAPPENED IN THE END? HA HA!

  • and thats who your suppose to have the cops chase you.

  • Here is the police stupid :D

  • I see that this footage is from the director's cut, not the theatrical version; plus, I cannot get over that clerk at the end being STEVEN SPIELBERG!!!

  • 16 people were cops..

  • the benny hill chase song can make any chase funny

  • The use of deadly force in the apprehension of the Blues Brothers....HAS BEEN APPROVED!

  • 14 people are in the Illinois Nazi brigade!

  • Briliant !

  • we're in a truck!

  • Wonderful montage....

  • Have to love the fact they pulled the Sherman out of retirement just to hunt them down:D

  • can any1 tell me where to find the original?

  • Benny Hill makes everything funny.

  • You know i've never heard of this movie before but i like it! :D im gunna go find it

  • Classic Movie. Well Done on the Video. Love the Music. Seems the style the Blues Brothers would have liked!!

  • lool 110 mph under the runway

  • wow thats funny

  • how many cop cars did they have to buy to make this movie?

  • can i just ask how much this cost???????

  • Well Fuckin Done!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHA :D

  • So this is where our tax dollars are going to, for the police, army, SWAT, Homeland Security, airforce and all the rest of them to catch two guys.

  • Best line in the whole movie - 2nd Nazi to 1st Nazi: "I've always loved you."

  • Wow they called out the whole HOMELAND SECURITY for just 2 GUYS!

  • i jizzed seeing that many cop cars crash :O

  • Bad idea... pitch it soon

  • A largely unescercary amount of force include SWAT, USMC, CPD and Nazis used in an attempt to take down two men that failed until the very end. It's The A-Team all over again.

  • @Thestorm117 Don't forget the Illinois State Police, a country-western band, and a jilted ex. :)

  • @tsntana Not only was Jake's ex-fiancee got jilted, but that girl whom Elwood met at gas station earlier got jilted, too. They were supposed to meet at motel around midnight.

Wow, 2 girls got stood up by the Blues Brothers at same night!

  • So many thing brought to take them down. Army, marines, anad the airforce. SO FUNNY!

  • hahahahahah i love their backflip escape from the Nazis. Also the Nazi's discovered the highest bridge in the world. lol

  • No computer aided special effects back then (other than blue screen.) Real cars, and stunt performers. Obviously, miniatures used for the "falling form the sky" scene. Even a better stunt coordinated car scene in the movie was the chase through the mall. That was a real mall in the Chicagoland area which was used (the mall was scheduled to be torn down, thus the location department negotiated a deal to use it.) The talent of production stunt performers have long been overlooked and underrated.

  • This is mental. So much money wasted on two guys. I'd shit a brick if that had happened to me lol.

  • this defies logic in so many ways.. i like it

  • This is just the Greatest thing ever

  • what's more hilarious that The Blues Brothers?

    The Blues Brothers speeded up

  • The Blues Brothers:

Its like GTA. On God Mode.

  • lol epic GTA. 50 stars wanted lvl .

  • 20 stars wanted lvl

  • so they got maybe 1000 policemen, 1000 army members, a few trucks, a tank, a helicopter, and a few hundred S.W.A.T. all for 2 guys who ran a red light

    that enough for you?

  • The light was yellow, Officer.

  • @awesomelycoolvideos in Chicago we take that shit seriously

  • @awesomelycoolvideos They just can't do anything right, lol

  • @awesomelycoolvideos

These guys ran a red light....I don't want to know what they do for people who litter!

  • @MarioMan2010 FIRE THE NUKES

  • @awesomelycoolvideos You forgot the White Supremicist group.

  • @awesomelycoolvideos ...you forgot 2 nazis ;-)

  • @awesomelycoolvideos well, thats what happens when you allow unnecessary violance :D 'cause, you know, it would be only 500 policman chasing them if it wasn't allowed

  • lol Blues Brothers are the best

  • Lol

  • what te fuck, all that verry nices dodge monaco's crasing..

  • 4:25 best!!

  • andyduff@shaw.ca

  • Till this day i have never seen a chase scene more epic than this. Police, SWAT, army, fireman the works just for 2 guys :D

  • don't you say a fuckin' word

  • @sabbathtage25 Probably the most under-rated line in this whole movie. Well done!

  • This is TOO funny! Benny Hill would be PROUD!

  • holy crap thats alot of police, swat, military police, etc...

  • hahahahahahaha, cops, army, what more can you add??? The SWAT team, the FBI, CIA???

Whoever composed this song is a damn genius!

  • @Mrforthoseabout2rock Composed and recorded by Boots Randolph, who not too long ago passed way.

  • @riceboy1701e alright, Boots Randolph is a damn good genius of composing this song.

  • *Peter Griffin Laugh*

  • I dont understand how they got like the whole chicago police and the army after them

  • super well done! I'm a big fan of both,so I watched this so many times...

  • this is awsome!

  • Are those all real cars that are piling up or did they just use special effects?

  • @RpGfreak901 They were all real

  • @jasonbournesdaughter didnt they hold an award for most real cars destroyed in 1 crash?

  • @SoVObsidian yes. Yes they did.

  • @jasonbournesdaughter how did they make them do that

  • @RpGfreak901 All real, this movie held the world record for most cars destroyed in a single film. Until the sequel.

  • @RpGfreak901 dumb question

  • @RpGfreak901 It was an offering from the police department, they were getting new policecars, so they offered all these older models to the director to use in the movie. It was a great coincidence that allowed a great scene to be made. My dad was actually in a building across from the bank center when they were filming. He saw the helicopters and the SWAT members rapeling down the side of the building.

  • @RpGfreak901 LOL. No computer generated fail back then. Just real steel smashing against more real steel :)

  • @crazyfvck Woah, you mean that this gigantic pile-up of cars, trucks, cops, firefighters, jeeps, tanks, choppers, and soldiers is all real?! And it's all being caused by JUST 2 PEOPLE!?!?

  • @RpGfreak901 This was before they used CGI for everything in movies. Back when they actually had stuntmen (and stuntwomen) and used real cars, guns with blanks, explosive charges, and trained professionals with years of experience in REAL action movies.

When you needed more than a laptop to make a movie.

  • @RpGfreak901 the were stock cars, just like in NASCAR...removable frames.

  • @RpGfreak901 they were real, blues brothers held the record for most vehicals destroyed on set and biggest movie car pile up. another film has stolen the most cars destroyed on set recently i cant remember which though, but it wasnt death race (no speacial effects in that film either btw)

  • @NEE22H it was surpassed by it's own sequel, if you can imagine that :-D

  • @RpGfreak901 They bought ALL Police Cars in Chicago to get this scene down. No kidding.

  • @RpGfreak901 They bought ALL cars that the chicago police had available. no kidding.

  • the filming is so realistic looking sped up.

  • hahahahhahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahaahhahah how u speed it up?
