  • 35 months in prison, and this song is still in my heart. so nice to hear it again !!!! anyone who has ever been in love will always have this one in there heart. or at least the lucky ones......

  • Industrial? xD

1.) There is an organ intro.

    2.) There are Pop/Dance synthies

3.) There is a Tekkno beat with Hi-Hats.

    4.) There are Synthpop structeres

5.) There is a Carl Orff "Carmina Burana" sample.

You see. No Industrial at all. ;)

  • @agathoma ok, you're right... i mean industrial WITH HI-HATS?! no way...

  • @nycology

Oh yes. I guess, a Hi-Hat is the pure opponent of Industrial music.

  • This song takes me back 10 years ago(2001-'02) to the best Industrial-Gothic-Fetish nightclub,"The Dungeon",in Hollywood,Ca-US(closed its doors in late '04).And the finest gothic, vamperish, old Victorian era, female patrons at this club, too!

  • This is Electronic Body Music

  • Stop calling industrial techno for fucks sake.

  • What *is* it? I *think* it's Future Pop... but I can't say for sure.

  • I think too. :-)

  • The intro to this kinda reminds me of the music from the game Gyruss for NES

  • intro is like castlevania

  • TRY BACH

  • Seriously!!!!!

  • @DavidLGordon

I have. I prefer this stuff.

Don't get me wrong! I'm not saying "Bach sucks" or anything like that! I actually like the music of Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, etc... I like that stuff. But I *prefer* electronic stuff like this.

  • What is the intro to this? i know ive heard it befor lol

  • Toccata and Fugue by Bach, heh

  • "Forever in your arms, you said. Forever in my heart.

My love for you will make us both fly higher.

  • there is another version of this song that's longer, has more techno in it and has these awesome sound effects in it. I cant find it anywhere... Anyone know what I'm talking about?

  • Do you mean another song with O Fortuna in it? The first thing I thought about reading your comment was the song O Fortuna by Apotheosis but that one you can find here.....

  • The one you are thinking of is O Fortuna (Sol Remix- Apoptygma Berzerk)

  • unfortunately I can't find it ANYWHERE.

  • @havitampa I know what you're talking about, I also can't find it anywhere though :(

  • Comment removed

  • APOP ON TOUR NOW!!!

  • Didn't Carl Orff's family sue KMFDM for using O Fortuna in Liebeslied?

  • Carmina Burana is the latin script O Fortuna is taken from! It does contain song like (Carl Orff's list): O Fortuna Fortune plango vulnera Veris leta facies Omnia sol temperat Chramer, gip die varwe mir Reie Swaz hie gat umbe Chume, chum geselle min In taberna quando sumus and many many more. He proable not took and translated this song from latin, as it seems like Tempus est iocundum is the closest match
  • APOP mixed with Camina Burana... Pefect combination!!! I Love It!!! :)

  • ha he had tocaata and feuge in d minor and o fortuna togehter.. sweet

  • [C*]

realy nice song, greets from Turkey;)

    peace:)

  • I know it's about a month late, but O Fortuna is by Therion (atleast that's the O Fortuna it sounds like the piece was taken from, I could be mistaken) I know Carl Orff and Carmina Burana did an O Fortuna as well though

  • O Fortuna is a classical piece, therion covered it. this piece has sampled the original vocals that were set to music by Carl Orff in 1935!!

  • Theron also collaborated with Apoptygma for O Fortuna (SOL Remix)

  • this song is good

  • What is the name of the song they sample at 2:23?

  • the song is called o fortuna i dont know who is the composer of that song

  • hay, it`s CARMINA BURANA from CARL ORFF, search it here on youtube and you`ll find it, ENJOY ;-)

  • Carmina Burana is the name of the opera the song is from. The song itself is O Fortuna.

  • theres another version ERA-THE MASS

  • Comment removed

  • tensions!

  • ooo i love pointless arguments over youtube lol

  • Tako je!

  • there's a plagiarism of Bach in this song!!!!!!!

  • you´re wrong, It´s Carl Orff "carmina Burana"; O fortuna in this song

  • Heh actually it's both... Tocatta and Fugue much?

However, it's not "plagiarism," seeing as they're both public domain now, so the whole argument's moot.

  • Actually, copyright on music extends well after the artists death. 10 years I think.

  • I'm not sure about music... I know with books it's either a hundred years after publishing or eighty years after the artist's death.

  • I was grossly off. 95 years after publication and/or 75 after death. All music produced before 1915 is public domain. So GranoblasticMan is right.

  • the piece of music used here is o fortuna (empress of the world) from the opera carmina burana by carl orff if anyone wants to listen to it in full as its an amazing piece of work!

i think this is ok but i can hear elements of a slightly more serious sounding alien sex fiend!!

  • Come now, APB is far, far bigger than Alien Sex Fiend ever was. Besides APB is more influenced by more major industrial and synthpop bands (Front 242, Depeche Mode, etc.).

  • I dont doubt APB are bigger than Alien Sex Fiend however i was mearly pointing out what( i as an original Goth of the times) i could hear. As far as this song is concerned i have never heard of it nor the band, it was sent to me by someone special who thought i might like it and i do! ok! lol

  • Great music, but the singer's voice would be much more melodious if he would take the focal resonance out of his nose.

  • Saw them live last saturday, and heard that song too.Well, what can i say?Incredible :)

  • lucky you.. how are they in person?

  • gr8 stuff

  • I love APB old or new... I will take anything they come out with. This one is a great song.

  • I love how this song starts out with classical organ and flows right into the synth riffs! This song is awesome!

  • carl orff...carmina burana

for such an incredible song the video was very disappointing....

there is a live version but ......still

  • it was a theme song from a movie called excalibur i think

  • It was featured in Excalibur, but it's not the movie's "theme song". It is an original classical piece from the 19th century I think by Carl Orff.

  • yep love never dies !!!!!

  • its with oh fortuna from carmina burana (Carl Orf i think)=)we were taught this in music lesson...

  • Hi kruemelchen. I think your wrong. The theme at the beginning is from JS Bach Toccata and Fuge.

    Regards

    Dawnrzor665

  • The chorus is o futuna by Orff however.

  • hi! APB make the best electronic music. well, i'm sorry if you dont understand this post, but I dont speak english hehehe..bye bye

  • one of my favourite songs all time

    it just sounds so epic

  • J'adore !!!!!!!!

  • i always loved this song.. but now i reminds me how old i acutally am.. *sighs* ;-)

  • Haha funny part is that i heard this song when i went into a hot topic LAWL, this reminds me of She wants revenge for any of those music lovers out there

  • Sounds like Castlevania. ^_^

  • remove techno from the desciption

  • I saw him open for Spahn Ranch during the 7 tour.

    Blew me away.

  • The choir is taken from the epos "Carmina Burana" in the most public version of Carl Orff. It actually is a collection of medievil churchmusic as far as I know...

    Very nice arrangement btw :)

  • I agree.

  • But it's not electronica it's ... Future pop maybe... I would have to go check, but their vocalist pretty much made up his own genre which is pretty funny.

But yeah, this is not his best work, I don't like the vocals on this song, although I like their other songs with vocals

  • Okay, well first let's discuss what the "pop" genre is.

The "pop" stands for popular, thusly it can be inferred that any musical genre that everyone likes can be referred to as popular, or pop music. So then, if everyone really likes electronica, it would be pop music.

Calling it future pop would only make it popular music that people don't like right now. It actually doesn't make a lot of sense, especially considering no one knows what kind of musical genre people will like in the future.

  • Dude, "futurepop" is a specific genre within overall industrial. The way you are dissecting it is irrelevant because the fans of the genre know exactly what it stands for.

  • Then why are you pointing it out?

  • Because YOU don't know what it stands for and you've made that very clear throughout this entire thread.
