Lighting of Cinderella's Castle at Disney's Magic Kingdom

We went there just before Christmas and shot some video of this and some other shows in HD.

so at disneyland it's called sleeping beauty castle and disneyworld is cinderella castle?

Yep, that's the way it is. I've been told the reason for that is the that was the biggest animated film for Disney prior to that park opening. Sleeping Beauty was the big hit when Walt was designing Disneyland and Cinderella was the big hit when he was doing the same for the Magic Kingdom.

actually the height regulations in disney world and california are different so california was les that disney world, so he built sleeping beautys castle smaller, but florida was a lot heigher so he got a chance to make it larger, so he went along and made cinderellas castle. Cinderellas castle looks heigher though because it is scalled heigher that it actually is. They made the windows smaller as the castle got heigher, making it look bigger that it really is.

Yeah it was really something to see. That was the first time I'd seen that as I don't go to WDW all that much. I usually go once or twice a year. Isn't it amazing what Disney can do!
