Thank you for this video- I have just begun using a heavy bag and a makiwara to practice my baguazhang strikes and techniques. Your description of how to strike the heavy bag is very clear; I'll be referring to this one over the next few weeks, I'm sure.
Thank you so much for showing this excellent striking method. I went over to my friends house and applied these techniques, and I dented the bag. Real bad.
The Fajing was very descriptive. The " alignment with the earth" is such an advanced but such basic practice. I am very thankful for this.
best vid ever. Totally friendly, funny / entertaining, relevant and down to earth. Pretentious it is not with none of the awful meditative music and flashy fantasy costumes that just bore the hell out of ya. Great that mr rudy can make it believable
Man I've never seen heavy bag training in Tai Chi before. I always thought of Tai Chi as more of a anti-grappling art and throws but I guess I was wrong. Thanks for the vid!
that is a good point, relaxation, accuracy, balance, speed, fajin power ect. are all improved when you don't try to over do it (aiming for the sky). much love for Uncle Rudy.
Nice Video Sifu Rudy. See you next week

The other idea to ponder is that it only takes a certain amount of pressure to break the nose bone. Anything over that is simply overkill.
