i play game like crysis with a core 2 duo e4700 and it runs on very high at 30-40 fps...processors doesn't have such a huge impact on games as long as u dont try to run direct x 11 or 16X AA

a greater impact than the cpu i have a friend that got an i7 2.8 ghz cpu and he have 260 gt 1gb(low-medium budget graphic card)while i've got an ati radeon 4870 1gb(which is older but more powerfull more expensive and its built for gaming) and we tested far cry 2 on highest settings he got 25 fps while i've got 35 fps so its playable on my pc not on his

One must need above 1.5GB of RAM and a multicore cpu to have good FPS
