Its situational application of the law, we pay for bogus insurance - Corporate crooks get rich, Progressive utilizes dumb caricature to sell worthless insurance policies. There is nothing funny about death and mangled bodies. Progressive is nothing more than a Ponzi Scheme in which Corporate Executives such as Glen Renwick get rich and leave injured policy holders bogus insurance policies which are not worth the paper they are written on. See Progressive Insurance Has Treated Me as Roadkill
What you described is terrible. There really is no place in Health Care for profiteering. If there is any question in your mind regarding the thoughts of God towards situations like this, look upon Jesus Christ crucified and you will see His mind in this matter. Justice has been served when the Father poured his wrath on His Son for the injustices you have received. May you be well in the name of His Son, Jesus. May His justice serve you well in this life as it will in the life to come.
Render just wages to individuals and you are free to profit and increase your wealth. Are there poor among you? Increase your wealth while not providing just wages and government is free to increase your taxes. Increase taxes to promote ill gotten gain and the judge of all the earth, the Lord Jesus Christ will dash you to pieces.
The issue is, both government and business alike are managed by corrupt individuals. Unless a man be born again he can not see the kingdom of God.
Im sure you can see as one having common sense. Allowing the govt to perpetuate health insurance only continues the ill gotten gain collected by both the govt and the industries within health care system.
We can stand for righteousness though it may cost us all we have. To stand is to say no to corruption on all levels though it may hurt us individually. We can stand for just wages, we can say no to a corrupt health insurance system.
We can say yes to individuals having wages that allow them to sustain themselves individually.
That is what we should focus on, sustainable wages for every individual and health care that targets the individuals ability to pay for services individually, not collectively.
I take back what I said about you being rational. You're a nut who believes in fairy tales. Christian America is stupid and brainwashed. Hell, they aren 't even really Christian in their beliefs. Jesus the man would be appalled by the likes of you using his name for such nefarious, non-Christian purposes. You ain't a true Christian, pal. He wasn't about protecting oligarchs. Worry about the real needs of the poor, you Pharisse!.
So your for exploiting the worker? Individuals can have wealth, if you hire, pay just wages. Otherwise your a shill, that one who earns in the top 10% controlling the other 90% through a false hope.
You believe in unlimited wealth. Do you also believe in the gold standard? A limited commodity. Even Hebrew slaves earned enough to sustain themselves and their families within their society.
A Pharisee is one who set himself over God's word. Show me the scriptures which support your view.
Plus, if education is a right, then so is healthcare. It's not all about number crunching. That said, the irony is the liberal plan would save taxpayers money over the corporate-subsidizing Blue Dog, gang-of-six plan. The oligarchial rich has been robbing the like of you blind for years. At a certain point, a fight is a fight and not just hermetic, Godel-like contained logical premises.
So what is your alternative -- sustainable wages? Considering how rigged and vastly lopsided the increasing distribution of wealth to the top 1 - 5 % has been over the past 30 years, far beyond the value such top few earners in the financial or health insurance sectors, for example, provide, how is redistribution unjust? A public option would be great for increasing wages and creating jobs, especially for small business. The people whose wealth you defend are often those depressing wages.
Thanks for the interest. I do cover some of your questions in a video segment titled WEALTH and another video titled WAGES and other video segments on Health Care.
A public insurance option and insurance in general does increase wages BUT for the top 10% of the U.S. at the expense of the other 90%. If services & goods were based on the "minimum wage" of the individual, the free market would have to offer services targeted to that wage, otherwise they are not offering a solution but extortion.
The middle class would bleed far less money in aggregate, in the real, non-theoretical world with a public option that is effective in containing health insurance costs. You're very smart, but I believe your thinking is crippled by an ideological premise of deregulated free market, wealth-creation by any means as utterly fair and pragmatic under any circumstances that is just a false, distorted premise. Reality is more ad hoc than that, to be effective. Keynes was right, so was Friedman.
You do have common sense which tells us taxation alone without just wages for all perpetuates ill gotten gain. Health Insurance is a cover for such gain by taking from all to cover a few while the participants within the industry, such as big pharma and others increase their ill gotten gains.
Scripture does utilize a two pronged approach, just wages and taxation. We do not have just wages and our taxation is disproportionate to the services rendered and the wages paid to those who render them.
Nanny state anyone???

Most aren't rational like you, but you're a rare case of rationality in a theoretical world distorting actual, hard, factual, life-as-it-is reality.
