  • What a horse she is she's the frankel of USA

  • WHO IN THE HECK CAN DISLIKE THIS VIDEO!!!???

  • I'd hate to be the person at the auction that made the bid before the eventual owner paid $57,000.

  • Haven't watched this in close to a year - but it still gives you goose bumps!

  • Zenyatta. Such a catchy name.

  • Ive seen plenty of hyped up horses not even show up on race day; dont even give you a race. This champion just missed and should of won the race. Nobody ever should talk bad about this horse, it just dont make sense.

  • @josara825 Anyone who talks badly about her show their true colors. Mostly east coast racing people that talk shit about her. Andy Beyer is one of them that ALWAYS doubted her and said she was overrated. What a joke.

  • @Kostly im from the east coast I love zenyatta. A lot of people didnt like it becasue she was a female. its a horse for god sakes. Its just male shovanists who didnt like this horse. People dont know the real story, Zenyatta had a hard time travelling she got home sick a lot and lost 15-20 pounds everytime she travelled. It happens. In your lifetime you wont see another horse like this, unless its her offspring.

  • @josara825 Since she's left the track I have realized how much she spoiled me. I've lost a lot of interest in the sport. I still love watching them run and I still love all of them, but, racing itself just isn't the same. I'm sure a lot of people after Secretariat felt the same way. She was sucha sound horse. Amazing personality and a helluva runner. Her personality matched her size. MASSIVE! Hopefully we'll get to see her foal out soon and hopefully it'll be a beautiful healthy colt.

  • @Kostly Then you're obviously not a horse racing handicapper/fan.

  • @BeetleSales No, I'm not a fan of degenerate gamblers who look 15 seconds from being homeless. And I'm not a fan of an industry that overproduces foals and shoots them with drugs to make them run faster. I'm a fan of horses. Period. Horseracing is just a venue for the very best horses to showcase their ability. I couldn't give two shits about bettors or betting the horses. I love watching them and love seeing them run their hearts out. Which is what Z did every time out.

  • @Kostly Oh, that's right. I forgot Zenyatta didn't race with Lasix. Sorry about that...

  • Zenyatta is a spectacular horse, she raced her heart out. yes she lost the breeders cup on dirt, however it wasnt her fault. She broke bad, wasnt used to the track and dirt getting kiced in her face. However like a true champion adjusted in the middle of the race and ran her heart out. The trip by mike smith was the wrong choice, quality road almost fell on zenyatta at the 3/4 pole, blame had a good trip and had the jump on zenyatta and just held on.

  • I was there that day, cried then, cried now! Love this year. :) I wish she was still running.

  • I could look it up, not sure. But this race doesn't seem that far before the 2010 Breeder's Cup that Zenyatta lost. Her only loss. She was hanging just a little here... You watch this race, then the Breeder's Cup. She races against males in the Breeder's Cup. Churchill Downs with that deeper track. I am thinking that everything adds up to Zenyatta coming up just a little short. Maybe a hair tired, maybe moved a little late by Mike Smith in the Breeder's Cup. A nose short of perfection

  • zenyatta didnt dominate, but she sure made it interesting every race...

  • @celicadetonator Why would you want to dominate when you know you can win? She and Mike knew exactly what they needed and got there 19 out of 20 times. She's the greatest mare of recent years and probably a top three all time.

  • I am at home. Try educating yourself about horse racing before you come here and continuously make a fool of yourself, son.

  • All this talk of Zenyatta vs, Secretariat vs. Phar Lap is ridiculous. Each is their own category, each is great in their own different way... Comparing them is simply ridiculous.

  • track season starts soon! im soooo excited racehorses r my insparation and ZENYATTA helps all the way i cant think of being a human in a race with 2 legs im a horse with 4 i wouldnt be this good if it wasnt 4 HORSES!!!!!!!

  • Ok demiand88 and Playboyy1985 just agree that zenyatta is great and "sec" is great to. They are both great in their own ways. My personal fav is zenny but sec is a close second. Just get over it u two!

  • and just for the record I love Zenyatta or any of these horses for that matter....gorgeouzz creatures but to compare her to secretariat is ridiculous

  • She is 1-1 against males

Secretariat would have been undefeated too if he had been racing against females all the time

  • I noticed all the way up till about 1:30 Mike Smith doesnt even use the whip! Its like she moves up in the pack on her own with NO USE OF THE WHIP. she knows where she can run from already. Great Video.

  • Barbaro had more turf starts than dirt starts prior to his brilliant Derby romp. Singspiel and Dubai Millenium win the DWC with no experience on dirt prior. Arc winners, Giant's Causeway and Sakhee, almost won the BCC with no dirt exp. Not that hard to fathom that horses can excel on multiple surfaces. Zen already has two wins on dirt and already a better shipper than Lava Man.

  • This mare is faster on conventional dirt than she is synthetics anyway. So many times, we've all bared witness to Zenyatta running down the leader of a race on the wire. But always on synthetic surfaces. In both of her Apple Blossom win's on dirt at Oaklawn, Zenyatta not only caught her rivals. But pulled clear of them by 4 or 5 lengths as well. The boys have to give weight to Zenyatta, then race her on a surface she's actually faster over. That's like giving someone with a gun the ammo for it.

  • If she lose her next race I blame the rider coz he ask her 2 much in this race

  • she is a beauty way better than rachel : ]

  • Zenyatta has touched the hearts of so many people, myself included. I am so excited that I'll get to see her final race! There is not in shred of doubt in my mind that she will get win #20!!!

    Go

    Zenyatta

    GO!!!!!!!!

    We love you!!

  • @AnimalsRock4Love I'm worried, though: can she beat Lookin at Lucky?

  • @NeonRaisin That's about all she will need to go against. Blame showed he probably can't do it and neither will Quality Road. Lookin at Lucky will be running a little in front of her so she will just need to stay close so he doesn't run away in the stretch.

  • @NeonRaisin Yes, Zenyatta can and will beat any colt, horse, filly or mare they run. I do want to add that I'm a huge Lookin at Lucky/ Bob Baffert fan. Zenyatta refuses to lose.On paper several horses would appear to have the edge. If it was Any other horse we were talking about I would be concerned....but since you ask I am not worried at all. I have complete faith that The Queen will still be unbeaten 20 for 20.

  • @AnimalsRock4Love Thank you for your reply!!! I too adore Lookin at Lucky but I am IN LOVE with Zenyatta and will be pulling for her with all my heart. She can do it, you're right!!!

  • @AnimalsRock4Love The race is shaping up to be rather more speed laden than anything she's faced in 2 years, she's fastest in the stretch, and one of the few proven at the level at 10 furlongs. I love the way she looks on paper.

  • @Venckman Amen! I agree.

    Go Zenyatta!

  • @NeonRaisin - No it is more like Can Lucking at Lucky beat Z ?. He is the one that has to prove it. She has NOTHING to prove. He is a 3 yr old......he hasn't earned his lumps yet to be respected. Talented?....Absolutely, and could dominate next season as a 4yr old. But Z should be the Odds on Favorite. Unless Dutrow Juices up Haynesfield again, then they are all Screwed ;) Cheers!

  • I made the trip from Texas to witness that race- specifically Zenyatta- and by far it was the most memorable day at the track in the 20+ years I have been a fan of this great sport.. Zenyatta is clearly the greatest horse of my era. 1 more baby!!!!!!!!

  • @bigbrokin You picked a good day to go! SoCal adores her, but no one loves her more than her hometown crowd at Hollywood. I was there too, and the atmosphere was electric.

  • Zenyatta will go down in history as the best horse ever, I believe she will go 20-0 after the Breeder's Cup. She is one in a million, personable, and loving and never gives up, I love her so much. Michele

  • @8mmoore1 wrong on both counts. zenyatta is nowhere close to Secretariat...not by a long shot and any rational thinker will agree. The times of Zen are nowhere close to Big Red. Secretariat set RECORDS in all 3 triple crown races. No horse has come close to touching 2:24 in the Belmont and no horse will as long as you live. Zen is a decent horse....however, Zen would only be able to eat the dust of Sec, regardless of her best kick ever!:)

  • @indkeith I'd have to agree with that assessment and I'm a big Zenyatta fan after watching her perform recently at Hollywood Park. Secretariat was in a league that only one or two other horses have ever come close to.

  • @RAV52 ,Sec lost 5 times including 2 of his last 3 races on dirt, sounds pretty easy who is better,, Zenny by a mile

  • @manikato75 Zenyatta is 1-1 against the Males that's .500 .... sounds pretty easy to me who is better Secretariat,it's not even close Let Zenyatta run the KD in under 2 min or the Belmont in 2:24 If Zenyatta was running against males 6-7 times a year she'd have ALOT more losses....It's alot easier running against the boys only once a year instead of year round

  • @Playboyy1985 ,greatness is judged over a whole career not just 3 races,Zenny 19-1,Sec 16-5,work it out ,times are irrelevant,go learn sumthing monkey

  • @manikato75 She is 1-1 against males so you work it out

and yea times are irrelevant.... which is why noone has come close to breaking Sec. track records at the Belmont and KD

  • @Playboyy1985 ,hey monkey american,Sec ran so fast he was whipped by monkey horses like Onion and Prove Out,,Zenny lost 1 of 20 ,Sec lost 2 of his last 3 on dirt,go learn sumthing little boy,

  • @manikato75 "Zenny " is 1-1 against Males what do you know about hrose racing u from the UK u lil Bog stick to drinkin tea and choking every 4 years at the World Cup

  • @Playboyy1985 ,thats how dumb u are,im not even fron the Uk,the 2 dumbest countries in the world the UK and US,last time i checked sec lost 5 times more than Zenny, monkey

    !!

  • @manikato75 again...Zenyatta is 1-1 against males

and Vladimir Klitschko has a better record (55-3) then Mohammed Ali (37-5) does that mean Klitschko is better then Ali ?

  • @Playboyy1985 ,Dont believe all the hype, tyson would of smacked both of them as ,Phar Lap would of smacked Zenny and Sec

  • @manikato75 Wow. You really are retarded, aren't you? I guess if brains were dynamite, you wouldn't have enough to blow your nose!

  • @RAV52 ,The only thing that would come out would be a little gromit like u who has no idea ,go home little boy

  • The only horse that matters to me: Zenyatta. The one and only!

  • @NeonRaisin The only horse that mattered was the 2010 Breeders Cup Classic winner, Blame it on BLAME. lol

  • @NeonRaisin Then stop watching horse racing because youre a tool

  • See you on the dirt of Kentucky in November.

    Hope the weather is OK.

And she finds the wire first on the 20th try.

  • @npspec34 You were right about this statement, when on dirt, and against a horse that would have been average any other year, which means a legit Grade II horse is Blame in 2007, zenyatta couldnt get the job done. Too bad so sad huh. Average horse on dirt was Zenyatta and therefore the reason she could get the job done.

  • @dubby300 BWAHAHAHAHAH What a ludicrous analysis of Zenyatta's ability on dirt. She absolutely CRUSHED the field in 2010.....the only one she had to beat was Blame and he was being reeled in like nothing. It had NOTHING to do with her ability on dirt. She had plenty and then some. She had a bad trip with Smith on top. Please....She ran on dirt 3 or 4 times and won all of them but one, which she lost by a nose.

  • @dontworryaboutit2110 Ok, I like rachel she is good 2 im just saying that i like zenny better chill

  • I think Vic probably needed to breathe into a paper bag after that finish. :-)

It's okay Vic. I, too, have monthly heart stress tests due to Z.

  • Love, love, love that baby

  • beat that rachel!!!

  • Everytime you race, you add this flare of drama. The one that makes all of us hold our breath, the one that until your very last stride makes us believe this is it, that it all ends here, and then out of nowhere this amazing burst of speed sprints you first across that line. It's like you sees something that we can't see, something that makes you want to get there first. Or is it because you know we're watching, and you simply like the show. Whatever makes you do this, God bless you for it.

  • Someone has pointed it out in other articiles if you look when they come around the final turn. Z is off the correct lead she is running with both front feet going forward at the same time. Mike quickly corrects this and Z is gone.

  • Great commentary, the Americans are so much better the UK at that aspect.

  • Yes, I was nervous in the middle of her pass when she seemed to fade. Until Mike Smith used the whip - which he didn't used to need to do. Regardless, what a fabulous horse.

  • She always just win by enough and that makes me nervous.

19 for 19! Shame on Andy Beyer's constant discrediting of Zenyatta

  • WOW
