  • first one was good.

They just juice the shit out of these films.

the first one did really well and made a shit load of cash so they trick people into going back for more.

no doubt there will be a 4th film.

  • there's only one problem, that hoodie. BE GONE SATAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i want to watch it as long as its not a complete waste of time...if its like part 1 then i go watch it

  • Could yall just get into the review ???????!!!!! Damn lol Yall doing all that extra shit in the beggining

  • @ITHINKIMBRUCEWAYNE Wow, someone had a bug gulp of haterade. You don't have to watch...click away jerk....click away....

  • Deuce u r one funny ass motherfucker. if i knew u dude wed be hangin out just cuz ud seem like funny as fuck and just an all around cool dude. and u have a very nice looking wife :) but thats just a compliment not tryin to step into territory or anything bro

  • I'm not afraid of getting haunted by a demon. Mostly because it never shows any sign that anyone in this family is Christian or believes in God. In fact, it shows the opposite, that they worship demons and Satan. Also, I have an even balance of boys and girls in my family! Lastly, I doubt seriously that my family made a deal with a demon. I'm way too close to God to surrender to any force of Satan.

  • Your husband is an a##...why do u let him talk to u like that?

  • @HamptonBluTV I'm not sure why you think that he is an ass to me. He is actually pretty wonderful and awesome. We joke around sarcastically a lot.

  • "im black now!"

    "... u were black before"

  • @blackserenade24 LOL! Well it's true. HAHA, I just speak the truth :)

  • I totally understood and agreed with what she was saying lol xD

  • I have seen the movie Paranormal Activity 3 last night.

It was very good movie. :)

Before i seen it i was thinking that it may be a little bit better but still crap :)

    > But whan i was watching it i was thinking that this is very good :) way more better than Paranormal Activity 1 and 2 way more ^_^

Everyone should see this movie. > i give it 8/10

  • Paranormal Activity 1 and 2 was ok but not very good so.....i going to watch 3 to night but i know it will be the same as 1 and 2 but it may be little bit better i hope :) i will see to night.

  • you guys should make a video for xhamster.com

  • yea i think its cool that the trailer had different scares than the movie to prevent spoiling it,

but they could at least not make the trailer soooo great that the movie itself feels like it was missing all those moment

maybe they should tone down the trailer and beef up the movie instead of the other way around.

  • @joeluna229 I thought what they did in their previous trailers worked. They only used one scene, and that one scene wasn't in the film entirely.

But to have a trailer comprised of dozens of missing scenes? Not great advertising, perhaps could even be considered as false advertising - but that's perhaps taking it a bit far

I think that by this third film, everyone knew what they were in for. So establishing it as a prequel was all that was necessary

I don't agree with them leaving so much out.

  • Thanks fir the review havnt saw it yet but now I'm even more excited (love thrillers)

  • thank you all for the reviews!! That movie still scares the crap out of me along with the other 2. Any more scary movies I should see???

  • you want something scarey watch my ghost story or a haunting on discovery n bio channels while at home alone..

  • Im loving you two banter!

  • HAHAHA! so funny when you said "I've never even heard that song, i don't even think that song exists" lmao awesome stuff. good review. i agree with you though, it was a good movie but it wasn't that amazing.

  • This film took from 'The Entity', 'The Sixth Sense', and 'The Amityville Horror'.

Toby was just Jodie. The intentions and forcefulness of the ghost/demon was the same as that of 'The Entity' (even his description seemed to be inspired by it), and the room - while not necessarily inspires, did remind me of the cupboard at the top of the stairs in 'The Sixth Sense'...

  • the demon is a demon i'm guessing its just morphing or something because the babysitter part did change its appearance but how would it go into the sheets if it couldn't change size?

  • have u 2 two ever heard of shadow ppl ?

  • LOL...You were Black before!

  • technically there is blood when the guy and katie are doing the bloody mary thing and he gets cut blood lol...naw but i believe it was an ok movie u get a better effect if u watch it in a less crowded theater i was laughing the whole time cuz of everyone in the crowd...btw TOBY FOR THE WIN

  • thanks god shes pretty, thats all i can say otherwise i agree with him

  • @chriskoob thanksss for theeee compliment??? I think I made perfect sense LOL to each his own :-D thanks for watching and commenting!

  • I love you guys :')

  • TOBY, really ,TOBY is the "devil" there saying kuntakinte from roots is the devil....RACIST!

    jk just me being ignorant

  • @RSnublet3 freaking funny LOLOL

  • i know what u mean about the little girls description of toby, how she said he was tall and old, he could of held the sheet to that height, but who knows...

  • Toby is the grandfather!

  • are you guys a couple? ya'll too cute. and funny! lol

  • @mekeda05 We are :) and thank you!! <3<3<3

  • blood? of course there is no blood, i think that going back in time is a good thing, since the first Paranormal Activity they have been hinting at Katie's past. That's what the Writers and Directors have been anticipating for, finally i guess this movie is basically the answer to all the questions we have had.

  • it wasnt the 1800's! it was in the 1980's..lol

  • perfect combo bc you get both sides

  • I believe in all the ghostie stuff. So I know it'll scare the shit out of me for that reason. But I am totally excited. Thank you for the review :D You made me want to watch it more. I understand what you are talking about Brittany.

  • Really good review, and really funny. Perfect combo!

  • @iRish1e Thanks for watching

  • @hotdjdeuce lol.

your girl sounded possessed at 1:05.

  • You both make great points. Thanks for talking about the 3rd film, two reviews I watched just talked about the entire series. I will check out this movie when there is an uncut version. I will treat is as a comedy or horror movie, since I don't know if it will make me laugh or scream . I watched the first one and skipped 2, as one was okay.

  • @Uvi91 u should watch 2 before u watch this one because it will make a hell of a lot more sense once u see the third one

  • At the end there was a fire outside and the old people was around it let they are doing some magic or something and the kids grandma told them "come on lets get ready" Ready for what ?? Then the movie ended ! There is deffintly gonna be a fourth one that is why the trailer is diffrent than the movie maybe because the director edit it out to make a fourth one

  • lmao you guys are funny. i subscribed for that

  • lmaoo ya funny

  • @mr81bryant Subscribe homie. We always upload crazy stuff. Thanks for watching.

  • I'm not even sure why the paranormal activity trailers need any new footage. By now, I think every audience-members knows what they're going into.

It'd be nice to have another film that doesn't feature on the same family.

  • @Damon242 It would have to feature the same family, or it couldn't be as relevant to continue a series and it seem authentic, you know with the title "Paranormal Activity". They further make the movies to explain how and why certain things happen, kinda makes sense to do. It would be a completely different title if it was about a different family.

  • @PresidentChiefer Not necessarily. The title 'paranormal activity' isn't relevant to the family, and just like in real life, not all ghost stories revolve around the same people.

How many audience members go to see these films for an explanation as to why these things are happening? I would imagine that the majority of audience members go to these films just for a good ol' haunting and to be scared.

  • @PresidentChiefer A lot of the horror films of the 1980's continued with different characters but the same antagonist. A series of films doesn't need to be so closely linked in order to be a series, they just need a theme and a setting to carry them on.

  • @Damon242 Yeah, I concur. However, when it comes to a ghost/demon that in the first movie was set up with a lot of history,(like the burned picture and her just having a past with a ghost) it would have to be with the same family. I mean, how could we have the same ghost in other movies? You see what I mean? Ghosts follow a family, it makes sense to keep it with the same family. I see what you're saying, but the demon couldn't be with multiple familes, we wouldn't even know it was the same demon.

  • @PresidentChiefer That's assuming it would be the same demon, of course. And we got the sequel/prequel (however you wish to look at Paranormal Activity 2) which actually cleared up what was going on.

  • @PresidentChiefer The story of Paranormal Activity 3 wasn't necessary, and doesn't quite mesh well with the others as what happens in this film is a lot more intense than the others yet according to the other films the real focus was on finding a way to get to Hunter (the first son born in the family), but in this one...

This was made even worse by the fact that what happened should have been remembered, the significance of the tapes, and that you never get to see the house actually burn down.

  • @Damon242 PA3 actually meshed great with the other films. At least in my opinion. You have to remember that when Dennis found the book about the cult, it said that the girls were brainwashed by the cult. So that would be a reason as to why they don't remember much. Remember Katie had the tapes at the beginning of PA3 and dropped them off at Kristi's house. But no one had a VCR to watch them. Then Toby ransacked Kristi's house and stole the tapes. The fire may have happened later. Who knows

  • @hotdjdeuce They remembered the figure at the end of their bed though. They maintained memories they were haunted in their childhood.

Their house caught fire, yet how did the tapes survive? Why were the tapes stolen? Who is watching these tapes and forwarding moments of them?

I don't think it meshed too well it all. It failed to contain any of the things mentioned in the previous films, and really had nothing much at all to link it to the others.

It seemed more like a spinoff.

  • @Damon242 actually they explained that in the beginning of the movie the tapes where given to the youngest girl kristin by the grandma after her passing away and the grandma was the one to start it all it seems and the house could have burned down after she took the girls upstairs brainwashed them and then went to get the tapes and kept them all these years. as for who is looking at the tapes who know maybe thats paranormal 4 lol.

  • @mujo562 Yeah but then why were the tapes taken after the second film? Why wouldn't the grandmother just let the tapes burn along with the house - why keep them? And yeah, the perpetual question of who is actually watching the footage.

She brainwashed them, yes, but why do the girls still have select memories of that period (which we never actually saw in the film), what's the point of that?

  • @Damon242 Actually the tapes are given to katie after the passing of there grandmother and before paranormal 2 since they just moved in there house as we see in the third.

For all we know there house never burned and we dont know what she covered up when she brainwashed the girls maybe everything the night of the murder of the mother and her boyfriend and tweeked the rest.

  • @mujo562 "For all we know there house never burned and we dont know what she covered up when she brainwashed the girls"

there's no evidence in the film that the grandmother provided them with false memories, and given that the trailer features the burning, the photo from the fire that features in the film, the fire in the first one that's meant to signify the burning, how heavily referenced it is - and how easily the lie would have been undone if the girls looked into it, the fire took place.

  • @Damon242 Actually there is If You remember the group from which it look like the grandmother belongs to would brainwashed children in there child barring years and would have no memory or maybe even false ones. and the fire could mean the ritual they had at the end of this movie when we see the fire in front of the house and the picture was burned by the maid in the second to pass the demon to katie.

  • @mujo562 I do remember that part, but they never said anything about planting false memories. They said that they would wipe away their memories (which is funny, because the grandmother was one of those kids and looking at her and every other one of them - they remember everything!).

  • @Damon242 Yeah your right they wipe there memories whole of the situation, but katie does have memories of being terrorized but not kristi i think which is weird since shes the one the demon wanted all along to give him a male.

  • @mujo562 "and the fire could mean the ritual they had at the end of this movie"

They said specifically in the other films that their family home burned down. And regardless of that fact, even if it were the case then they needed to have established that within the film.

  • @Damon242 Maybe the grandmother burned the house down while getting the tapes and left the bodies of julie and dennis there so there deaths seemed like an accident. but this is just speculation we have to wait for a new film.

  • @mujo562 I'm confused as to why Toby never tried to get a son from the mother

more likely than from one of the little girls...

  • @Damon242 well maybe since the mother said she was done having kids but toby was already kristi imaginary friend so either he knew or heard the mother say that before or he just moved on to a naive girl he can manipulate which at the end worked out.

  • @mujo562 Yeah, but then what was to stop himself from forcing the mother to participate, or the grandmother playing with her daughter's memory instead?

There are a few issues, perhaps resolved by those missing scenes, but at the moment they're a nuisance.

  • @Damon242 Yeah there still too many wholes in the stories hopefully they will get resolved and btw heard about another movie called Paranormal Activity 2: Tokyo Nights heard that the new character and Katie tie in and yes its japanese but subtitled but its a direct sequel to the original when it first came out in 07.

  • @Damon242 And the focus still was on getting Hunter per se. Because Toby wanted a boy. Remember where the grandmother was asking the girls' mom if she was going to have another kid and that she thought she wanted a boy? Since she said no, I think that's when the grandmother decided she needed to do what she needed to for the cult. I think Toby was just trying to insure that one of the girls would give him their son when they had one. I think it tied everything up perfectly. For the most part.

  • @hotdjdeuce Toby wants a boy. Either Toby can produce the child himself with one of the girls, or he can't. If Toby was able to produce his own with one of the girls, then he would have done so - and the events of paranormal 1 and 2 would have been pointless.

But if he can't, and he's waiting for one of them to naturally produce one - why is he attacking the girls when their children? Why did it kill their mother?

In either case, it doesn't really explain much at all.

  • @Damon242 Yes the point is toby wants a boy and hes not technically terrorizing the girls he made friends with the younges tand if you remember in the movie the youngest girl agrees to a deal which we dont know what it is but one can assume a child and then when there playing dress up at the grandmas house and she is dressed like a bride she responds by saying toby is the lucky man. and the killing of the mother is because she told the grandma she doesnt want anymore kids.

  • @mujo562 "hes not technically terrorizing the girls"

He drags one of them into the cupboard and does god knows what, tries to grab her again after she runs away. He posses one of them, he lifts one up into the air by her hair, he gets angry after one of them refuses to do as he wants - so I think all of that qualifies as him terrorizing them.

  • @mujo562 And my point is that if he could just create a child with one of the girls (presumably what was supposed to happen at the end) then what was the point of him returning to get Hunter in the first and second films?

  • @Damon242 well As they explain in the films whatever toby is hes gonna take the first born male child doesnt matter who's it is. As for creating the child of course he couldnt for some reason we still dont know.

  • @mujo562 "well As they explain in the films whatever toby is hes gonna take the first born male child doesnt matter who's it is. As for creating the child of course he couldnt for some reason we still dont know."

but that's precisely what I'm saying. They establish that's what he's doing - but they don't show what happens. Nothing in the other films supports it, so what was the point? And it is something that the film should have established immediately.

  • @PresidentChiefer If they decide to do a sequel, I have mixed feelings on whether it should be a continuation or not.

A new family, a new haunting might be refreshing. A new, less "found-footage" formula might be nice as well.

A proper film, made using these ideas, could potentially make a great horror film.

  • I really wish they would make a proper film for this series, not a found-footage formula.

  • @Damon242 I think if they do another one it would make more sense to do a regular film. Either A. do a movie that gives the backstory on the cult and the demon or B. do a movie that shows what Katie did with Hunter.

  • @hotdjdeuce I just think that the found-footage formula has worn out its welcome in this series.

I wouldn't mind the series focusing on an entirely new family, and just on the haunting. Then it would be fresh, exciting, and unpredictable. Whereas, with this prequel, we knew who was safe, who was likely to die, and unfortunately couldn't help but point out inconsistencies with what was going on in the film compared to what was described in the other installments.

  • I found it annoying that every scene of this film this time had something happen in it. There was very little build up, and like every other film they always screw up the ending.

It's bizzare, after watching the final trailer, to see that sooooooo much that featured in the trailer was left out of the film.

And wasn't the house supposed to have burned down!?

Anyways, it's decent - I still consider the second film to be the best.

  • there's actually a few alt endings to the first one. my fav is the one where the demonic katie stares right into the cam after killing micah and then just slowly and surgically takes the butcher knife to her throat and slices it wide open. good times.

i watched #2 a year ago today and i haven't been right since. def gonna watch the third one but i really don't wanna go another whole year [or more] w/o good sleep. i'm like your wife - extremely sensitive to the otherworldly and stuff. sucks :(

  • @SMDB82 Yeah this one is definitely disturbing. It probably has the most "action" and visibility of the demon that has been disturbing them.

  • @hotdjdeuce ya i watched another review of the film and stuck around for the spoilers to kind of give myself a lil cushion for when i do watch it. wanna be as prepared as i can be w/o completely spoiling to movie but it'll be nice to anticipate what's gonna happen before it happens when i do watch it.

  • @SMDB82 It's definitely worth seeing. Can't wait to hear your thoughts after you see it.
