Newer fuels are at the moment not technically, financially and practically possible.
There allways are just that couple of reasons that make it not possible to use it in the shipping industry. I think cleaner diesel fuel and engines are the future.
those are old engines and the fuel consume of those slowspeed Industrie engines aren't that bad, btw ships like the SL-9 are build for power, not for speed
