I had a similar experience! Many of these false ministries are raping people spiritually, others are blind to their false teaching! I have not been back to a church since my five year experience with these type of ministries! Thank you for speaking out! I believe God will over look a lot of our spiritual ignorance and many who have followed these false teachings will in fact go to heaven, but while they are here their souls are being rapped/violated, by leaders who have deceived themselves.

@kvtassel Hagin taught that Christ's physical death did not remove sin but Christ's "spiritual death" & struggles in hell that removed sin. Hagin taught that Christ was sent to hell and there struggled against Satan & demons & by his victory over them was born again. This is heresy of the greatest sort.
The Bible plainly states that we are redeemed by Christ's death & blood (Acts 20:28; Heb. 9:14; 10:10). The atonement was finished on the cross. When Christ dismissed His spirit from his body, He cried, "It is finished" (John 19:30).

If this was their teaching, why don't you have actual proof of them actually saying this. You say one thing, and Doug says another. Hearing Doug teach the thgs you claim he does would have said it all. How do I know you are not a Luciferian implant set out to kill this end time ministry? Show me the proof.
@Conservmom All I can give is the testimony of myself, my wife and daughter. Many others have testified of these things as well. As for me and my family, I can attest that our testimony is 100% true and without any deceit.
Matter of fact each of us would give the same testimony in a court of law and before God. Scripture says a thing is not considered unless there is the testimony of 2 or more witnesses. Most importantly the testimony of scripture & how FOTM goes against it over & over.

God has restored us in many ways, but most importantly we have confessed our sin and stick to the sound doctrine that is found in His word. Its not about cups or torturing demons, etc, its about preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ - something Doug & crew do NOT do.

I looked through Doug's emails and responses, especially from his accusers, and I have to say honestly, from someone outside listening to both sides, I see alot of bitterness and hatred from Doug's accusers and nothing of the sort from Doug. Quite frankly, alot of the comments supporting your position seems to jump on the gun against FOTM without hearing their position. Careful not to make such quick judgments and accusations, especially if Doug is telling the truth.

BUT..it's quite deceiving now that I know their "secret". They don't come right out and say. We marry and divorce as a normal practice among the community. Its not a heresy because its not damnable. They may believe this, but even the woman Jesus talked to at the well was not married, even though she was married physically. If God says its not a marriage its not.
If we think we hear God telling us to marry we should pray and fast, to make sure we are hearing right, then go to other believers outside of the situation. If God says you are married than you cannot divorce. I agree the view, that your only married if God says so and if you are you cannot divorce, but the voice they were listening to divorce is debatable.
What's the bible say when it's not one person's fault? My father was in Vietnam when his first wife divorced him and remarried. Now he (he used to laugh about this but I know it hurt) didn't find this out until almost three years later when he was finally returned from over seas and back to the states. By then, she had remarried and even changed my brother's (his son) name to her new husband's. He stayed unwed for some ten or more years afterward before meeting my mother, whom he married.

to clearify, chris filled for divoice not once but twice. first one when he was with a woman from Oklahoma that she paid the $2000.00 for and then she threw him out after God started to show her the truth about the teachings of FOTM. Also chris lied about being a resident of MO which I nor Chris was when he filled. so he had to refile after his 90 days of residentcy. Further more I had grounds for divorce, this is not chris first time in adultry.
This is another lesson we all learned that none of us should follow any man or have anyone follow any man, we should only follow the Holy Spirit if we are born again.

On a second note, Doug's friend Chris did not break up his marriage, his wife did when she could not handle the level of commitment to the Lord that he had.
I stayed w Doug, slept in the bunk above him. was in secret meetings w/ both Doug & Chris. I went on fotm 'mission trip' & witnessed false teaching 1st hand.
Chris didnt break up Doug's marriage; Doug said many times the voice he listens to told him to leave & abandon his believing wife & not take care of his children even tho scripture says NOT to (see 1 Tim 5:8, 1 Cor 7, Eph 5, etc).

When I saw Doug's videos, where he spoke of how he abandoned the many things God had given him and ultimately went on a road trip with no money in his pocket--I believe his wife was mentioned--well it raised a bit of a red flag to me. Why would God call you and have you abandon your wife? Has he ever been shown to work this way? Now I see what's really going on..

That so-called cult expert perhaps was a fraud, since I've been working in counter-cult ministry and apologetics for over 15 years, and it seems to me that FOTM is a cult. Part of being a cult is denying the fundamental truths of historic Christianity, and telling people to abandon wives and marry people who are still married is indeed cultic. Keep exposing them. I requested a statement of faith from the web site. But the gentleman kindly proposed that a SOF was usely used to appear Christian by nonChristians or was not a true representative of doctrinal stance. He has offered what they are not, but, has not offered a position on basic doctrinal issues or any special stance or special doctrinal stance. This seems to very questionable given the testimony presented here. Anyone who cannot offer their position on the basics cannot be considered a teacher!

Dear sir, Please check Rabbi in Hebrew or Aramaic as it means MASTER not teacher. It is common practice for the teachers of Synagogues to be called Master rather than teacher as they should. Jesus condemned this practice. As you point out.

Matthew 23:9 says RHABI or Rabbi. I do not know where you got kathegetes from Rabbi. But it is plain to read and was as from Aramaic transliterated directly in the translation. Jesus NEVER said call no man teacher or that no one should be teachers.

I am a Christian minister and speciallize in cults. I work with brethren of various denominations that HAVE NOT apostacized. If all had apostacized, the Lord, Jesus, would have returned to rescue us.
Several hundred or more congregations DO need strong leadership to steer them back to God's Will, but, refraining from working together as congregations is WRONG. Paul taught against it. We cannot run from congregations and assembly because many have made mistakes. Get back to work.

Wow, I just yesterday found about FOTM because of a search of Todd Bentley. They were speaking against him (rightly so from all I have seen and heard). Now I find out that they are in error as well.

I used to be a Tarot card reader at one time for a psychic phone hotline, but NO WAY would I EVER say that one should play with the occult to build one's testimony or that G-d is somehow behind getting people into that garbage. I started fellowshipping online with FOTM back in 2002 or there abouts. At that time he was married and still running his business and doing well. Then I lost contact and found out a few years later that his wife had left and he was broke and homeless. David Eells came out in 2007 and said he needed deliverance from Kansas City spirits. He tried to minister deliverance to Doug but Doug would have none of it. Do a search at Unleavened Bread Ministries for DP and read what came about there.

Well. I landed here because I was listening to Doug's videos re: against Todd Bentley- I was thinking 'hey' this guy makes some sense..but!... Now that I hear this- I have to step back and consider the 'source' ?

Whoa! I can't believe Doug actual believes in Spiritual marriages!!!! How is that any different from the Mormon polygamists in San Angelo, Texas? When Doug told me he doesn't take a shower, shave, or do ANYTHING *unless* God tells him to, I think that was the first clue of something being strange about him.
Lots of other bad stuff too - Chris Evans (rancherforchrist) also with fotm, personally told me and my family 'god' had him marry three times in one year and he still is not legally divorced (multiple adulteries), but that is okay because its all about finding a 'spotless' bride = obvious twisting of scripture.
Yea, Doug & Chris r listening to a voice, but its not God or Jesus Christ of the bible (God never contradicts His word).
When the bible says "test everything" its there for a reason.
Just a quick note. Jesus did not add to the LAW on adultery at all. The LAW says thou shalt not covet your neighbour's wife, man servants, maid servants, etc. Covetousness is of the heart. The LAW had it covered, the Pharisees of the day did not. They had all the outward things covered, but not the inward things.
The Old Testament law said not to commit adultery (the physical act) and Jesus expounded that God's word/law is not just a list of rules, but that its about what we think about too (out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks, but it ALL starts in our mind - thats why it needs renewed). Jesus spoke about out thought life...
If what you say is true, that is a chilling charge indeed. I am glad that you are exposing it if it is so. I feel sorry for those who become entrenched in one group and don't seek God for themselves. You do have to look to the word in everything. You are right there. I take things with a grain of salt and usually like Doug's videos and can get some good out of them, but I don't agree with all of it I just take the good and leave the rest.

I just became aware of this whole situation today and I am just amazed. I want to tell you how much I respect you, but mostly, how grateful I am to the precious Lord that His hand rescued you and your family from this group. I see a purity in your heart and I believe that He will bring full healing to your family. I also was so happy to read that Clare has broken away from this group, as her past video testimonies touched my heart deeply. I am going to try and get in contact with her if I can.

I had a similar experience! Many of these false ministries are raping people spiritually, others are blind to their false teaching! I have not been back to a church since my five year experience with these type of ministries! Thank you for speaking out! I believe God will over look a lot of our spiritual ignorance and many who have followed these false teachings will in fact go to heaven, but while they are here their souls are being rapped/violated, by leaders who have deceived themselves.

As for finding truth, the bible says it has everything we need for life. Read the bible, renew your mind with His word and test everything. Instead of going someplace, just learn to have Jesus in you, examine yourself in light of His word, die to self, and run the race to win. Its hard at times but Jesus' will never leave or forsake you.

@kvtassel Hagin taught that Christ's physical death did not remove sin but Christ's "spiritual death" & struggles in hell that removed sin. Hagin taught that Christ was sent to hell and there struggled against Satan & demons & by his victory over them was born again. This is heresy of the greatest sort.

The Bible plainly states that we are redeemed by Christ's death & blood (Acts 20:28; Heb. 9:14; 10:10). The atonement was finished on the cross. When Christ dismissed His spirit from his body, He cried, "It is finished" (John 19:30).

@Conservmom All I can give is the testimony of myself, my wife and daughter. Many others have testified of these things as well. As for me and my family, I can attest that our testimony is 100% true and without any deceit.
Matter of fact each of us would give the same testimony in a court of law and before God. Scripture says a thing is not considered unless there is the testimony of 2 or more witnesses. Most importantly the testimony of scripture & how FOTM goes against it over & over.

@Conservmom Be very careful, especially about the 'cup model' by Doug. Thats the one revelation that while simple and profound, it contradicts scripture in many ways.
God has restored us in many ways, but most importantly we have confessed our sin and stick to the sound doctrine that is found in His word. Its not about cups or torturing demons, etc, its about preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ - something Doug & crew do NOT do.

However if you read the New Testament, it also commands us to expose false teachers & warn others so they do not fall into the same sin.

I looked through Doug's emails and responses, especially from his accusers, and I have to say honestly, from someone outside listening to both sides, I see alot of bitterness and hatred from Doug's accusers and nothing of the sort from Doug. Quite frankly, alot of the comments supporting your position seems to jump on the gun against FOTM without hearing their position. Careful not to make such quick judgments and accusations, especially if Doug is telling the truth.

I understand as serious as false teaching, heresy, sin, etc is u need lots of proof. Fact is my family & I would give the same testimony before God & in a court of law w/ no reservations. NTM it conflicts w/ scripture.
Numerous others who also stayed in Liberty experienced the same. Pastors, laypeople, associate pastors, bible study leaders, bible profs & cult experts & many others have given similar accounts.
Nothing is done out of hatred, bitterness, etc, but for love of the truth.

This is extrememely serious. I spent 20+ yrs in the Army & what we experienced was more dangerous than anything I have ever done.

You know, I went to the FOTM website. And on their website, it looks all good. It looks like a group of Christians following hard after their Lord. BUT..it's quite deceiving now that I know their "secret". They don't come right out and say. We marry and divorce as a normal practice among the community. They rather share this "heavenly knowledge" to family only. If they believe they are right.. why not come out and say it?? I know the answer. They know deep down, it's sin.

If we think we hear God telling us to marry we should pray and fast, to make sure we are hearing right, then go to other believers outside of the situation. If God says you are married than you cannot divorce. I agree the view, that your only married if God says so and if you are you cannot divorce, but the voice they were listening to divorce is debatable.

What's the bible say when it's not one person's fault? My father was in Vietnam when his first wife divorced him and remarried. Now he (he used to laugh about this but I know it hurt) didn't find this out until almost three years later when he was finally returned from over seas and back to the states. By then, she had remarried and even changed my brother's (his son) name to her new husband's. He stayed unwed for some ten or more years afterward before meeting my mother, whom he married.

no thats not true - online court records show Chris filed for divorce twice and even states that the voice which he claims is 'god' (a false a lying spirit) told him to leave and divorce her.

This started whn Chris obeyed a lying spirit presented itself as God via fotm. The lying spirit told Chris to leave his believing wife (just like Doug) & he did, even tho its against scripture 1 Tim 5:8, 4:1, etc. This voice told him to marry another while still married to June, then get divorced again cause that wife didnt accept this false spirit or its heretical message, then went to get another wife.
June didnt get married again & is obeying scripture 1 Cor 7:11.

to clearify, chris filled for divoice not once but twice. first one when he was with a woman from Oklahoma that she paid the $2000.00 for and then she threw him out after God started to show her the truth about the teachings of FOTM. Also chris lied about being a resident of MO which I nor Chris was when he filled. so he had to refile after his 90 days of residentcy. Further more I had grounds for divorce, this is not chris first time in adultry.

I stayed w Doug, slept in the bunk above him. was in secret meetings w/ both Doug & Chris. I went on fotm 'mission trip' & witnessed false teaching 1st hand.
Chris didnt break up Doug's marriage; Doug said many times the voice he listens to told him to leave & abandon his believing wife & not take care of his children even tho scripture says NOT to (see 1 Tim 5:8, 1 Cor 7, Eph 5, etc).

well seeing that Todd Bentley is divorcing his wife & leaving his children cause of marital strife, and Todd says its cause of the revival he did.
Strange cause we dont see any man of God getting a divorce and leaving his children due to a real work or revival by God.
Just something to think about - narrow is the road to salvation and few enter in, but wide is the road that leads to destruction.
Just be careful and TEST everything!

hi, I just want to say I commend you for standing up for what's right according to God and the truth in this particular situation.
When I saw Doug's videos, where he spoke of how he abandoned the many things God had given him and ultimately went on a road trip with no money in his pocket--I believe his wife was mentioned--well it raised a bit of a red flag to me. Why would God call you and have you abandon your wife? Has he ever been shown to work this way? Now I see what's really going on..

Hello Steve. I ran across one of Doug's videos, and found some videos against the Liberty ministry. So, I became interested in finding out what's going on. Since you were involved in that ministry, please answer a few questions. Who is the Jesus of that ministry? Is Jesus God there? Was He God and man while on earth? Did they believe in the Trinity? Was the Holy Spirit a Person, God the Holy Spirit? This is all for now. Thanks.

well lets take a look at the 'jesus' they follow...
Their 'jesus' tells people to leave their believing wife & children; to abandon & not provide for them; he tells them to marry other people who'r still married to another.
Their 'Jesus' tells people to torture demons & kill other people 'in the spirit'.
Their holy spirit just blue 'stuff' instead of a person in the trinity.
They believe God & Jesus but IMHO & comparing what they believe & teach against the bible, its a different jesus/god.

Thanks for your reply. I noticed that their website does not clearly outline what they teach. That so-called cult expert perhaps was a fraud, since I've been working in counter-cult ministry and apologetics for over 15 years, and it seems to me that FOTM is a cult. Part of being a cult is denying the fundamental truths of historic Christianity, and telling people to abandon wives and marry people who are still married is indeed cultic. Keep exposing them. People need to know.

I requested a statement of faith from the web site. But the gentleman kindly proposed that a SOF was usely used to appear Christian by nonChristians or was not a true representative of doctrinal stance. He has offered what they are not, but, has not offered a position on basic doctrinal issues or any special stance or special doctrinal stance. This seems to very questionable given the testimony presented here. Anyone who cannot offer their position on the basics cannot be considered a teacher!

To be a "teacher"is forbidden as per Matt 22,only God is the Teacher ( Rabbi),through His Spirit,however to hold an earthly position in the church,please look at 1 Tim 3 & Titus 1 and then FOTM,they have nothing to from those requirements,they are frauds to say the least.
Many make a buck today by pretending to be servants of God's,yet only serve their lusts as in their case.
They are shady so don't expect much honesty with them,best stay away from such "teachers".

Dear sir, Please check Rabbi in Hebrew or Aramaic as it means MASTER not teacher. It is common practice for the teachers of Synagogues to be called Master rather than teacher as they should. Jesus condemned this practice. As you point out.

Matthew 23:9 says RHABI or Rabbi. I do not know where you got kathegetes from Rabbi. But it is plain to read and was as from Aramaic transliterated directly in the translation. Jesus NEVER said call no man teacher or that no one should be teachers.
Your argument against proper teaching and ordained teachers violates the Word and basic teachings of the pastoral epistles. I will not reply again to any further denial of teachers as ordained in the Holy Word. It is clearly a false claim.

I read YaHWeH in the Old Testament and Jesus and YaHWeH in the New. I need no commentator on the scripture other then the New Testament. From that I can exegite all the false doctrines. However, unless you learn from someone how to interpret and study the Bible, it will take years of study to get where I am. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THAT. As I said, Jesus didn't teach the apostles to teach if man wasn't to teach others the Bible. You are arguing AGAINST God and His Word, verus.

Further, verus, it is absolutely imperative according to Paul, James, Peter and Jude who under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit demanded that we publicly reprove heresy and error. Therefore, if someone has resurrected an old cult practice, we should call it such.
Jesus and John answered heresies that were already in existence at the time of Christ and are being regularly resurrected by modern cults. Those who do not know the past are doomed to repeat it. Do not resist proper reproof.

No, Jesus was NOT entirely new. The only thing NEW about Him was His deity and thusly His ability to speak with the authority of God. That is why when He said "Truly Truly or Verily verily" Jews recognized it as "Thus saith the Lord" and said of Him, "never a man spake like this man".
Jesus came as God incarnate and followed EVERY prophecy of His coming & mission. he was foretold in detail and was the lamb slain from the foundation of the world as tributed in every animal sacrifice ever made.

Also, veru, as I gave scriptural examples, you do not disagree with me but the Word. If you study the Word on your own you will be taught of God. But if you seek sound teachers, you can save years of study. Why in the world did Paul teach Timothy and the others, or why did Jesus give a 3 yr intensive seminary to the apostles if you aren't supposed to learn from trained teachers???

I am a Christian minister and speciallize in cults. I work with brethren of various denominations that HAVE NOT apostacized. If all had apostacized, the Lord, Jesus, would have returned to rescue us.
Several hundred or more congregations DO need strong leadership to steer them back to God's Will, but, refraining from working together as congregations is WRONG. Paul taught against it. We cannot run from congregations and assembly because many have made mistakes. Get back to work.

ALL denominations have not apostasized yet. ALL denominations are not bad. Self taught people are usually the ones who start cults.
Proper Biblical study is guided by the Holy Spirit but is best under the tutelage of grounded Christian teachers who demand that their students check behind them and verify doctrine in the scripture. Paul was first taught at the feet of Gameliel, THEN, God took him out in the desert for three years.

Wow, I just yesterday found about FOTM because of a search of Todd Bentley. They were speaking against him (rightly so from all I have seen and heard). Now I find out that they are in error as well.
Wake Up People! This shows us just how close to the end we really are. Deception is RAMPANT! Get in the WORD and be filled with the Holy Spirit. The Lord Jesus Christ is returning soon

What I have seen personally is that most of these people that so openly support such false preachers don't get it or stop till they are coned out of house and home,family brakes up and other misfortunes happen,then they come out of it tail between their legs hurt and ashamed.FOTM is one of these cases I see.I hope for our friends sake,bis124 God wakes him up before he gets in deep like the rest or maybe he needs to learn a good lesson,anyway it's pointless to argue with these people now.

I used to be a Tarot card reader at one time for a psychic phone hotline, but NO WAY would I EVER say that one should play with the occult to build one's testimony or that G-d is somehow behind getting people into that garbage. I started fellowshipping online with FOTM back in 2002 or there abouts. At that time he was married and still running his business and doing well. Then I lost contact and found out a few years later that his wife had left and he was broke and homeless. David Eells came out in 2007 and said he needed deliverance from Kansas City spirits. He tried to minister deliverance to Doug but Doug would have none of it. Do a search at Unleavened Bread Ministries for DP and read what came about there.

Whoa! I can't believe Doug actual believes in Spiritual marriages!!!! How is that any different from the Mormon polygamists in San Angelo, Texas? When Doug told me he doesn't take a shower, shave, or do ANYTHING *unless* God tells him to, I think that was the first clue of something being strange about him.

Lots of other bad stuff too - Chris Evans (rancherforchrist) also with fotm, personally told me and my family 'god' had him marry three times in one year and he still is not legally divorced (multiple adulteries), but that is okay because its all about finding a 'spotless' bride = obvious twisting of scripture.
Yea, Doug & Chris r listening to a voice, but its not God or Jesus Christ of the bible (God never contradicts His word).
When the bible says "test everything" its there for a reason.

Just a quick note. Jesus did not add to the LAW on adultery at all. The LAW says thou shalt not covet your neighbour's wife, man servants, maid servants, etc. Covetousness is of the heart. The LAW had it covered, the Pharisees of the day did not. They had all the outward things covered, but not the inward things.

The Old Testament law said not to commit adultery (the physical act) and Jesus expounded that God's word/law is not just a list of rules, but that its about what we think about too (out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks, but it ALL starts in our mind - thats why it needs renewed). Jesus spoke about out thought life...

If what you say is true, that is a chilling charge indeed. I am glad that you are exposing it if it is so. I feel sorry for those who become entrenched in one group and don't seek God for themselves. You do have to look to the word in everything. You are right there. I take things with a grain of salt and usually like Doug's videos and can get some good out of them, but I don't agree with all of it I just take the good and leave the rest.

BTW isnt it interesting that people from all around the U.S. & Canada are testifying against Doug & Chris? Ummm...
I didnt test everything & it hurt my family & other people. I tried to kept the so called "good stuff" & the error was mixed in that too.

I just became aware of this whole situation today and I am just amazed. I want to tell you how much I respect you, but mostly, how grateful I am to the precious Lord that His hand rescued you and your family from this group. I see a purity in your heart and I believe that He will bring full healing to your family. I also was so happy to read that Clare has broken away from this group, as her past video testimonies touched my heart deeply. I am going to try and get in contact with her if I can.

All I can say is at one time yes, but now their teaching is in direct opposition to God's word, and their fruit is bad. I can also say God's word says to confront false teaching and to do so out of love because their soul is at stake.
