The 1500mAh NiMH actually isn't bad at all. After my first charge, I left the transmitter on with the backlight on all the time, and occasionally picked it up to familiarise myself with the menus and set up one of my models. The low battery alarm didn't go off til about seven hours later :) It might even get longer after a few cycles of the battery.

I'll get a LiFe or LiFePO4 when it comes time to replace the Tx pack. The manual specifically says not to use a 3s lipo. LiFe is less volts.

I was curious as to where all the switches are located,,, I come up one short from trying to find them on the pictures and video.

@TheMightyKinkle when you have the bind plug in hand, you plug it into the bind port on your receiver. it usually says batt/bind... then when your receiver is blinking that is when you hit the bind switch on your radio. then when it stops blinking, that indicates your radio is bound to that receiver. that is how your radio "talks" to the airplane when in flight.
