  • I know I already said this at a other video of you but I just have to say it again... this modeling is so well made... He hast a manly face, nose and hairstyle! Yes that would be a great Thor ! And I have to say again: you have the right touch for male characters. I'm tired that many people create people in software too over extreme, old or other mistakes and here I can't find anything wrong. I hope you kept this style until today! and Bonus-points for the great choice of music :-)

  • what is the name of the song and the artist that from this video. It's so calming and inspirational.

  • man i love thor.. to pull him out from a sphere!.. awesome stuff dude!

  • This is awesome, Just got Zbrush, this is very inspiring. Gonna split my time between digital sculpting and digital painting.

  • 1 word left to say: incredible!

  • gr8

  • substract for the hair is nice!

    havent seen that before...

  • It looks awesome but there are many many many and many easyer ways to make a sculpt. You start with a sphere 3d to make a head neck and shoulders.Instead of that you could yust use ZSphere to get rough shape and then start sculpting! Saves time drasticly! :) Sorry 4 my lame English and again great work! Cheers

  • of course it is, but I wanted to do a bust from a sphere, not a bust from a shape that already resemble a bust.

  • I'll give another ZBrush course at CICE in Madrid the January 19th.

    More information in Cice's website.

  • thanks, I already tried that, but never works, maybe I'm making something wrong...thanks!

  • how did clone or mirror the eyes?!

  • make a copy of the subtool (polymesh3D) and use mirror from modify, then insert mesh in geometry tab

  • i see you used extract for make the initial hair along the face, i got a question, if the extracted object is way more complex, and i wanna render it on maya with mentalray or whatever, how do I handle the resolution of the extracted mesh? thanks and great work!!

  • You can use ReTopology with ZSpheres and project the details on the new mesh that now has subdivision levels.

  • did u use one of those pin thing or a mouse for this

  • Wacom Tablet

  • What are you doing when you turn the figure white? I'm new to zbrush and i was just wondering whether i was missing out on something crucial.

  • When I changed the material I was using move brush for volumes and smooth brush to keep the mesh clean

  • were do you get z brush and how much does t cost

  • Buuuuffff impresionante me encanta un crack tio. Me gustaria empezar con esto del 3D pero creo k yo no valgo xD suerte y sige colgando k me encanta verlo xD

  • great work.

sorry 4 such a beginner's question, but can u work with 2 or more models on zbrush ( two spheres)?

how do you place the eyes? are they separate editable objects?

  • yes, they are called "Subtools"

  • thx a lot, I just started working with them and so far i'm using extract to create other objects. great and helpful vid, thx.

  • wonderful model

  • i like the way u used mesh extract to get the 2 strands of hair

  • This is very inspirational. I just got ZBrush and it's somewhat overwhelming. I'm totally new to 3d modeling, and videos like this make me more and more anxious to create some great character. I think the only bad thing is, these timelapse videos make it looks too easy! lol

  • trust me dude zbrush is wayyyy easy compared to ANY other 3d program, just get a digital tutors tutorial cd or get a book on zbrush from the book store, this will help u start learning zbrush, the learning curve for it is very small

  • Henry Rollins as Thor!!! I can't wait!!!

  • wat did u use for the beard

  • combination of brushes

I use flatten, rakes and my own alphas.

I change the focal shift and BrushMod to create the smallest ones (hair).

  • Btw wat camera system did use cuz i think ill try posting my own projects

    and

how long hav u been usig it?

  • I'll be giving a ZBrush course in August at CICE, in Madrid.

  • This was fun to watch. Thanks for sharing! I enjoyed seeing how it developed though the different stages.

  • You did this with a mouse or a tablet and how did you delete the mask-6:54- and after that did you use tweak?

  • tablet,

just do an emplty mas or use the menu option,

I use move brush a lot

  • WooooooO!

  • how do You make that hair stripes from mask in about 07:00 ? plese tell me tell me

  • extract,

it's on the subtools menu (at the bottom)

  • yeah, thanks

  • eres el puto amo....no digo más.

  • nice modeling!

how did you get the strands of hair to seperate from the base mesh after using the mask tool? ive seen this done using zshperes and then createing a skin, but not the way you did...interesting lol

  • you do the mask and then use extract from the subtools tab

  • awesome again!! but we need some music for the next one ¬¬

  • Great work! (if only I could get the mouth & ears to look right.....)
