@pyromaniacforhire On that note, it's kinda wasted because you're not actually in a trial, just in...court. But, yes, it sounds like a trial prelude theme for a legitimate Ace Attorney game.
@HinataChan30 I agree with you. Let's hope that the next court trial/prelude themes will be as epic or more epic than this (ie, for a new Ace Attorney stand-alone game, or Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney). :D
@msh11201996 When I was playing the game, I was like: " The judge looks so different... :l" And from this video I finally see that he wasn't wearing his glasses, he normaly wears glasses right? O________________o; xD
Am I the only one who wondered what the hell Manfred's reaction was to this case? I can imagine that he would be disappointed or happy that Edgeworth wasn't killed so he could ruin his life later.
Seeing Manfred in the series again was nice, even though he's not the most developed villain the series. It was awesome with all those subtle little references to case 4 of PW 1.
I am very disappointed with how one dimensional von Karma is, even in AAI. Consider, he has a reputation on the line putting Edgeworth out for his debut, and then his daughter shows up, to whom he shows not a shred of affection for. I just wish there was an epilogue for that case where they meet up. I really would like to have seen how the writers would have handled his reaction to miles and Franziska being shot at. but He's such a shallow character. So disappointing for how influential he is.
@LoogyHead We know exactly how Manfred von Karma would have reacted to his pupil losing a case, because we see EXACTLY what happens when Edgeworth starts losing to Wright in the first game! And Franziska had already said in the second game that her papa showed no love for her, only demanding perfection. All this was already set down, so it would be weird to fly in the face of that by making him some kind of grumpy cuddlebear instead of the obsessive control freak he really is.
@hotdiddykong2 He's an asshole but he could be more developed. Every other character that we interact with more than once throughout the series, no matter how annoying, has a likable characteristic. Even some of the murderers. But the single most influential character in the game is as predictable as a piece of toast.
true, but they did give him some form of purpose in case 4 in AAI, i think probably case 4 in the original AA pretty much set everything about him, hopefully Investigations 2 will shed more light onto him
@LoogyHead Well....assuming he got the death sentence in AA1 for killing Edgeworth's dad then I doubt the writers felt there was much reason to have him develop more since he was in only 1 case in AA1 and he showed up for a short time in AAI.
@LoogyHead remember, he hates edgeworth and he has ENOUGH reasons for that, and open affection for franziska would be weakness, so he avoids it... hes trying to b perfect
@LoogyHead I understand what you're saying, but him being one-dimensional is characterization in tiself. I, personally, feel the developers made him that way on purpose, to demonstrate the fact that he cares about nothing and nobody.
there should be a manfred von karma game where you can manipulate evidence and testimonies to win cases. also it can add a few dimensions to his character, his childhood etc..
True, but the case still made me understand why Edgeworth might have respected him or seen him as a role model as a prosecutor. If you show him your badge, he actually makes a good point about how it's the man himself and not the badge who brings honor to prosecuting. Of course, that's hypocritical coming from someone who has no honor and is almost as concerned with appearances as the Apollo Justice villain, but I can see why Edgeworth might have bought it.
What do you call that suit Karma and young Edgeworth wears. They look like they're comfortable...... and expensive. I went to the store wear I usually get my tuxs but the closest thing I seen was a tail coat...
@Lancealot180 The scarf Edgeworth and Karma wear is called a cravat I believe, beneath that is a Grafton collar. As for the style of jacket, I BELIEVE that it just has extra large lapels as some sports coats do and given the wealth procecutors in the game possess, I believe it is a custom embroidered Lapel.
I think they once slipped that the Judge is 62 in the first game and 72 by the start of Apollo Justice. He'd be around 57/58 by Edgeworth's first court incident.
Some sources even quote him being as young as 48 - so maybe he really does have bad memory for his age!
@CountBloh The judge is at the very least in his mid 50's during T&T. Bikini said the Judge's younger brother was older than her, and she's 48. If we take this as the Judge's brother being 49, than the judge himself must be at least 6 years older than that, to develop an American accent before moving to Canada. That would make Udgey at least 55 during T&T, 53 in AA, 62 in AJ, and 48 during AAI-4. AT LEAST. He's probably a tad older than that.

I know why Franziska's mother is not shown in the games ...
She wanted a divorce and get custody of Franzi but Von Karma won the case and retained the custody ....
And then he had a pretty successor.
He had Edgeworth as a pupil for the case that Franziska fails.
(PS: This reminds me in Kingdom Hearts 328 / 2 Days is Franzi ^ ^ Roxas is Franzi and Xion is Edgewoth xDDD)

It's the Court/Trial Start Theme, simple as that. Even Edgeworth needs one.
