I wasn't thinking on posting a comment but after reading all the previous comments I decided to do so, I just want to tell all of those people who come here to post negative comments, should first go and educate themselves about the DREAM Act. We should focus on the positive and not in the negative this act will only improve this nation and make it stronger with education. That's all we're asking for, to get educated so we can give back to the country and not just "take" like many of you think.
Why on earth would we want to make it easier for illegal aliens to go to school? I don't want illegals in college? They need to be heading back home. The Dream Act is fundamentally flawed concept, the unfairness of which is apparent to most of middle America, which is why it hasn't come close to passing yet, despite these endless sob stories (that I guess must resonate with illegals and their family members) that fall flat with the majority of tax paying citizens.
First of all i would like to advice you to research the Dream Act thoroughly. i get you do not understand the benefit your country, my country and every other immigrant individual will receive from this. We have already received an education up to high school "free" as you and many others see it as, my parents pay taxes as well therefore it is not Free. but for purposes of your reasoning and the way you seem to view the modern world i would ask you this,
"Good education"? You clearly haven't taken a look at H.S. graduation statistics of the offspring of current and former illegal aliens lately. Throw away? Hardly. Let's cut our losses.

First of all, you CAN go to school, you just have to pay out of state tuition. If you dont have the money oh well! Go to a community college where classes are cheaper and work with that. Cheap labor is not cheap when the social costs are included. The Outlaw Employers, enabling Rogue Politicians and illegal aliens profit at our expense. Effectively, this is just a subsidy. I have a friend who became undocumented 2 years ago. Her sponsor bailed out on her. Not all undocumented people came here illegally. The DREAM Act would help her pursue her education and future. I hope you could get it through your mind that not all undocumented people didn't come legally. My best friend did come legally. Look how far that's gotten her.

i know coming to the US legally, its not the easiest way but many people have done it!! the reason why there is so much hatred for illegal immigrants, is that many people believe they take more in benefits that they give in taxes. illegal mother gives birth to US citizen baby and has it made. if the country is to give a reform it should address the primary issue of not allowing every child born in the US be a US citizen.

We should focus on the positive and not in the negative this act will only improve this nation and make it stronger with education. The Dream Act is fundamentally flawed concept, the unfairness of which is apparent to most of middle America, which is why it hasn't come close to passing yet, despite these endless sob stories (that I guess must resonate with illegals and their family members) that fall flat with the majority of tax paying citizens.
