To be honest, I look forward to a lack of k-style. I admit, it added a bit of difficulty to the game so that not just anyone could kick ass, but that's also what killed gunz. its just that you have to play the Assassin job class to use K style. that and K style has its own actual animation now, so thus K style is actual in game moves now that the developers recognized in Gunz 1.

I've always disliked the people that were using K-style and would whine about people using machine guns. Calling them sprayers, noobs and kick them. Seriously, why? If I want to use machine guns and I would suck, it's my problem, just don't kick me or other people out of the game just because of that. So please, for the sake of GunZ 2, don't whine and don't hack (yeah, I'm hoping too much I guess). BTW it looks awesome and I can't wait for it to come out. I'm already waiting so long! :(
Whatever argument or stand you guys want to take about whether styling is necessary in gunz, you'll have realise that styling was what made gunz popular and unique in the shooting genre. That was also the reason why admins never fixed the glitch when the community discovered it and blew it up in korea. Without styling, everyone would be playing E-style which was the unglitched version of gunz that gave gunz a poor rating. If you guys feel that some styles aren't necessary, then use another.
I honestly don't see anything wrong with shallowing the K-style learning curve a bit.
Seriously, all the AWESOME MMOs nowadays have shallow learning curves that make it easy for a new player to pick up on it and have fun. Won't this attract MORE players starting to lean away from the casual side of gaming?

Those aren't glitches. They're just techniques developed by Koreans... If K-Style was considered glitching, it would've been removed and patched the following day. Especially due from it being exploited every day.
Overall, it's not glitching, it's all learned from practice.
What don't you get.... if it's a glitch and it's being abused to beat other players, it would've been patched. If they weren't meaning to have people have techniques like that, they wouldn't allow you to block or switch weapons during sword animations. They're cancels, not glitches.

If you couldn't kill someone with a sword while you had a gun, then you were just terrible... Not only that, but all the moves a K-Styler uses can be countered.

Canceling sword slashes with blocks and stuff was put in the game on the release. Therefore, it was meant to be in it.... And since then, which is like what, 7 years I think, it STILL hasn't been patched. Clearly it's not a glitch.
That's why you safe fall when somebody flips you. Just like I said before, there is a counter for everything.

You're saying it's a glitch when it's not. It's canceling. Therefore, you are calling canceling a glitch.
Actually there is a delay when shooting a shotgun again. You just don't think there is because people switch to there other shotgun that has already be cocked back. By time they finish shooting that one, the first shotgun is already ready to fire another shot. If you do it with 1 shotgun, there's a delay. You just don't realize it.
Oh trust me, the Koreans will develop another style to piss off you trashbags who can't K-style then you'll end up quitting the second GunZ too. I can't wait till that happens...

i used to be rather adept at k style but i can see why it will be removed. the servers today on ijji are dying, because of the lack of new players, as people are less likley to be inclined to be part of a game that has such a steep learning curve. you guys see it differently, but k style is pretty difficult to grasp for a newcomer and when everyone's using it with such skill, its unlikley that they're going to be able to compete.

I disliked K-style because it make the game unbalanced. K-style was the dominant way to play, meaning you were forced to use swords, shotguns and revolvers like everyone else, instead of trying to define your own style of play.
Games with metagames that enhance the core gameplay can be fine. Games that change the core gamplay completely is not.
Oh, and I also disliked K-style because it was just generally stupid to look at from a spectator standpoint.
i played international gunz when it first came out, then NA gunz from ijji, and i have to say, this isn't gunz. it just isn't.
Although you could argue that k-style and all that were based on glitches- undeniably that's what made the game. The game would not have gotten as many fans without it. It had nothing special going on for it. A shooter with a sword. If you played beginning of igunz everyone just walked around and slashed each other. It was boring and cliche.

GunZ was awesome. I played International GunZ. Later progressing to NA/Europe GunZ(ijji). I loved and became extremely...extremely... obsessed with it. Lol. If it wasn't for k-style I wouldn't of continued to play the game. Just generally such a different thing the glitches made the game so popular. K-style opened up a whole new subdivision of gameplay. Like air-fights on castle maps <33... I wish I had time to play ):... Maybe I'll break up with my girlfriend =P. (JK <3)
Actually, the original gunz had that "glitches" fixed at some point. They had so different animations and shit. Then game got out of beta, and there comes the glitches. Not sure if there's any old videos here but if you could find some with old interface you'll know what I'm saying. -I quit gunz like 3 years ago, still going to try Gunz2 if it comes out someday.-

Once again, you're not understanding. I just gave you a full explanation of how they're not glitches and you still can't comprehend it.
If you couldn't kill someone with a sword while you had a gun, then you were just terrible... Not only that, but all the moves a K-Styler uses can be countered.

Canceling sword slashes with blocks and stuff was put in the game on the release. Therefore, it was meant to be in it.... And since then, which is like what, 7 years I think, it STILL hasn't been patched. Clearly it's not a glitch.
That's why you safe fall when somebody flips you. Just like I said before, there is a counter for everything.

You're saying it's a glitch when it's not. It's canceling. Therefore, you are calling canceling a glitch.
Actually there is a delay when shooting a shotgun again. You just don't think there is because people switch to there other shotgun that has already be cocked back. By time they finish shooting that one, the first shotgun is already ready to fire another shot. If you do it with 1 shotgun, there's a delay. You just don't realize it.

i used to be rather adept at k style but i can see why it will be removed. the servers today on ijji are dying, because of the lack of new players, as people are less likley to be inclined to be part of a game that has such a steep learning curve. you guys see it differently, but k style is pretty difficult to grasp for a newcomer and when everyone's using it with such skill, its unlikley that they're going to be able to compete.

It seems that the only people who dislike the original gamely were lazy, slow minded half witted people.
Why bother with gunz at all and just go play halo or unreal or something?
There's a thousand generic first or third person shooters you could play that will hold your hand all the way threw.
They were originally glitches, but were kept because of how they enhanced the game play.
you had to react on one level and think on another.
If you were slow or undisciplined, you died.

I disliked K-style because it make the game unbalanced. K-style was the dominant way to play, meaning you were forced to use swords, shotguns and revolvers like everyone else, instead of trying to define your own style of play.
Games with metagames that enhance the core gameplay can be fine. Games that change the core gamplay completely is not.
Oh, and I also disliked K-style because it was just generally stupid to look at from a spectator standpoint.

i played international gunz when it first came out, then NA gunz from ijji, and i have to say, this isn't gunz. it just isn't.
Although you could argue that k-style and all that were based on glitches- undeniably that's what made the game. The game would not have gotten as many fans without it. It had nothing special going on for it. A shooter with a sword. If you played beginning of igunz everyone just walked around and slashed each other. It was boring and cliche.

Korea gunz release was in 2003, ijji NA gunz was in 2006.
Three years in between k-style (those "glitches") was already established publicized and widely used. With this in mind do you think that
-Ijji saw these oh so horrible glitches that are clearly ruining the gameand decided to host the game anyways
-Ijji saw how unique this playstyle was and decided to host it labeling it as "Unique 3rd Person Shooter with Fast Paced action"

GunZ was awesome. I played International GunZ. Later progressing to NA/Europe GunZ(ijji). I loved and became extremely...extremely... obsessed with it. Lol. If it wasn't for k-style I wouldn't of continued to play the game. Just generally such a different thing the glitches made the game so popular. K-style opened up a whole new subdivision of gameplay. Like air-fights on castle maps <33... I wish I had time to play ):... Maybe I'll break up with my girlfriend =P. (JK <3)

Actually, the original gunz had that "glitches" fixed at some point. They had so different animations and shit. Then game got out of beta, and there comes the glitches. Not sure if there's any old videos here but if you could find some with old interface you'll know what I'm saying. -I quit gunz like 3 years ago, still going to try Gunz2 if it comes out someday.-

I was told about this. I might play it because it looks better than S4. Seriously, that game is unplayable now... I literally couldn't start a match because the flaws and programming mistakes just piled up. I just hope this game is compatible with a gamepad. Seems to frantic for a keyboard.

Think of it this way, would you rather make a game with hard controls and glitches to win, where the playerbase is relitively small, or make it easier for low levels to get more and more players. If everyone could glitch, no one could pick the game up because they wouldn't get a chance to practice.
