Why do people complain about having a monarchy? First, the monarchy generally generates more in tourism revenue than it actually costs. Second, the cost of a monarchy isn't any higher or lower than the cost of a republic. Do people honestly believe that they're going to save costs by having a President or Prime Minister? Third, the monarchy provides a sense of stability within the nation by having a head of state that doesn't change every 4-8 years. The positives can go on forever.
