Has there been any other mods that you've done to this vehicle, I'm starting a project with mine and adding a few things like a custom supercharger, new exhaust, cool air intake, proformance chip and getting it all tuned.

The Venture is on the GM U Platform and the Eek is on the Theta Platform. Anyone know a cold air intake that fits this car? I'm finding it hard to locate one.

Yep... based on a Chev Venture / Pontiac Montana platform. Still sounds good though!

your half right, i don not know much about spelling, however i am a journeymen automotive technician and the platform, although its own (the theta platform) is based on a mini van. The Equinox and its variants are consider cross over SUVs, not a true SUV IMHO, and my wife also own a loaded up 07, so im not knocking the vehicle in question, but the fact that you put a flowmaster on a such a pedestrian vehicle.

@stroked78 The GM Theta Platform does not have a single Mini Van in its class. It is and Always has been Compact/mid-size crossover SUV beginning in 2002 with the Saturn Vue. As for why I put a flowmaster on it? Because it sounded good and improved the overall performance of the vehicle. Combined with my K&N Air Filter I was seeing an average of 3-5 Miles more per gallon.

@stroked78 Dont be dissin the equinox's brother The Pontiac Torrent, the torrent is a beast, the torrent is not just a pedestrian vehicle, the torrent is alot more aurodynamic then that of the equinox, and has more hp, and better fuel economy due to the stock sport tuned suspention and smooth ride, plus its 2 inch stock lowering kit. The Pontiac Torrent is a grea vehicle, im sad to see if go, but the Equinox does need its time to shine, the new Equinox platform is the Torrent's old one.

@dreadknoted Sister car* ;) And I love the Equinox as I have one in my family, But I'd rather drive my friends Torrent anyday! So much smoother and just faster, Sad to see Pontiac go. I wanted a new firebird :(

I just put a redhot glasspack on my 06 equinox and my god was that worth it. no more than 60$ invested and it sounds better than most of my friends imports. best 60$ ever spent. i will add that it sounds ballsy straight piped if you dont care about loudness at all.

I have an 08 Pontiac Torrent GXP and would love to put something on it.....Can anyone post a vid on the GXP or Sport with a good aftermarket exhaust system?? And can anyone tell me, do I only have to install the mufflers....or do you need more than that????

@Lrn2spellpeeps The Torrent GXP is the Same at the Equinox Sport. I would venture to say it would sound the same or better than this. Certainly not worse :)

same , I've been lookin for an intake, theres totally nothing I can find. There is k&n air filters tho for them, but thats about it.

@DJrb2008 Regular Equinox is 3.4L 185 hp, Sport is 3.6L 264hp. We owned a 2005 Equinox & I thought it ran pretty good................that was until we traded it in on a 2008 Equinox Sport. The Sport runs SSSSOOOO much better. I'm not knocking your Noxy, I'mjust sharing. The FlowMaster sounds great by the way.

Hey sorry it took so long to reply. Its nothing special. Just a Flowmaster Super 44. Just about any reputable exhaust shop should be able to get you one.

Last week My dad tried topspeed it was 180km/h and the tachometer was on 4e gear 5600RPM. ANd the 5e gear was 3500 RPM. My question is... Is our car limited? And is it possible to drive Faster?

116mph nice...downhill I assume? and no I do roadside assistance work. We do work with police on emergency lockout services (child locked in car etc.) but I cant do too much crazy stuff.

It was actually on a very long and straight back road and it was a really calm night. It took a while to climb after 175 but it made it!! How much did the flow master cost you overall??

Roughly (no Dyno Test) 195 HP (Stock 189~190) its a GM 3400 SFI engine. Not sure of the CID.
