@mrgreenturtleman Waner Bros wanted a new more challenging advisary for Bugs Bunny. Elmer Fudd was too dense to be a great foil after a while, so the writers tried creating differant enamies. Taz was likley based on the fact that Tasmanian Devils have powerfull jaws and will eat anything. The spinning thing comes from the Waner Bros habit of giving characters unique traits to make them more interesting.
