@150peacemaker oh wow never heard if after looking i would probably get slightly confused with he both if the MSR was not tan and if the railings on the m24e1 were not different
this is american logic for you "we decree that the .338 lap mag is one of the best round ever developed... on related news because of this information our new sniper rifle system is cambered in .300 win mag..."
@GeneralSchultz lol if you are referring to the cheytac m200 that is a retarded gun why? it's heavy it's not even being used anymore it has no records what so fucking ever and it's the ugliest rifle i have ever seen the MSR is 0.3 moa the cheytac is now xm408
@watchingpictures Companies tend to do that when they are trying to sell us in the army new gear/weapons. Currently we get issued multicam for afgahnistan so they just like to advertise new equipment with whatever we are currently using in the hopes we'll be more likely to buy it.
i already notcie the stock is diferend compared with that one 0:08
on the other hand, it says m24e, and m24e1 was the first name of the xm2010, and i dont find much diferences between that one compared with an msr qua looks
i want a McMillan TAC-50 modded so it has a heavier butstock, and a good looking fully adjustable, colapsable stock and it has a 10 round magazine and a S&B 12.5x50x56mm scope
Interesting, this is the third remington video I've seen that has been found on a disk at the airport. Remington really needs to tighten up their security...oh wait.
@Flumphinator Compared with the original design? Yeah.. It looks ugly. But then again we're entering a stage where rifles are looking more and more "Futuristic"
Fuck Man. This is a waste in the hands of any one not full up sniper trained. Why the would even sell this to little Johhny gun nut is ridiculous to me. Id rather see it in the next Call Of Duty than in my armory. And no I am not a trained sniper. If you must spend your hard earned money on fire arms buy an AR 10 or 15. More bang for an average joe's buck. With a match grade ar 800-1000 yds is do able with practice and if you gotta kill jihad joe at 1500 yds. Somebody else paid for your gun.
@comedyguy911 Right now it IS pnly for the military. But everything eventually goes on sale to the public later on. That is why companies preview at shotshow. If it was military only period there are plenty of defense industry closed to the public trade shows in Virginia Beach, Virginia for the convience of SOCOM and other big wigs. Get your story straight before you spout nonsense dude.

Who makes the barrel? PLEASE don't say Remington...
The M40 uses a Krieger barrel. The M24 uses an Obermeyer Barrel. Even Knight's Armament got busted using their own 'MATCH' barrels on their SR-25 that didn't work... so they switched to Obermeyer. (At first,Knights tried to tell the USMC Scout/Sniper school they were shooting wrong. WTF? They later changed their story.)
When it comes to barrels (and scopes), it had better be German. There are exceptions, but it AIN't Remington.
I was on the phone with the head of Remington's Military and LE sales department. This rifle is not going to be out on the market for any one to buy. Mainly due to cost. The entire package with all three caliber configurations, suppressor ext cost over $12,000.00. The high cost is due to the fact the Remington spent over $500,000.00 in R&D for this rifle. They will sell you one if you are willing to pay there price.
I am all about long distance shots. Love my remington 700 VTR desert recon. But I would love to get my hands on this as well. I would love to sample this rifle.
This is Remington's MSR (Modular Sniper Rifle), as it's known to the open market. It comes in four flavors: .7.62MM NATO, .300 Win. Mag., .338 Norma Mag. and .338 Lapua Mag. All four calibers can be had in any of four barrel lengths: 20", 22", 24" and 27". They say it will require no special tools, but an allen wrench that is stowed in the butt stock.
@majorporpoise Yes they did. The multicam does a better job at camouflaging because the regular ACU only had 3-4 colors. That made it really easy to find on sand, because it was blotchy. Like the Canadian CADPAT the camo is tighter together, with the added colors, it makes it an all around winner. So yes, they have changed to multicam (but CADPAT is better on my standards :D )
its funny how people play fps games and think they no soo much about guns haha im sick of people saying bolt action sniper rifles real life is not a game
Wow, this is amazing. Id be glad to see this out in the field, being a sniper puts a huge HUGE target on your head, due to luggin around a bulky m14 or regular m24.
Why don't you be honest and tell everyone that you're a Remington employee instead of making it sound like you happened upon the disk and you're just an average gun enthusiast leaking information?
Remington - Accuracy International had a chasis system 10 years ago, why do we care about yours? A regular M24 with a Badger Ord or HS precision 10 round box mag will do what this chasis system does at a lighter weight. And if it's optics issues that you need a long rail for, just buy a long rail! This is a solution to a problem that could take much less weight.
Well - it depends on which SCAR you're talking about. I was responding to a comment that was talking about a civilian shooting a gun, so I was talking specifically about the semi-auto version (yes FN has released a semi-auto as well as select-fire version).
@rawatkins Guess I missed globallordofwar's comment (now deleted), but the original SCAR is not semi-auto. It goes wide open. You're probably thinking of the commercial version of it, which of course is semi-auto.
@rawatkins where the hell did you get your info? the FN herstal SCAR is fully automatic and simi- automatic. the civilian version of the scar is simi- auto. as are all civilian class weapons. but the scar is a class 3. which is filed under machine guns and supressors.
or you can just say MSR not enhanced m24
