i could never get the amount of kills i get in big milsims that i do without a 25-30 RPS saw. And neither could anyone else, it is necessary if you know how to use it. some people have high ROF guns for nothing though

These have been out of production for almost 5 years now. Check out the hong kong and japanese retailers. They would be the last ones to have it. Or buy a used one on an airsoft forum.

Where do you get such a split gearbox? I've been looking around but only came across the ICS one which i don't want to buy as I found mostly bad responses from it due to lack of quality. This is so comfortable, easy to change the Spring etc without the Gears or the Anti reversal latch just shooting right in your face which you got at some Airsofts like my Aimtop M4....

@RTDairsoft The battery is wired to the rear. It then extends out to what's known as a 'Battery Sling' which is a gun sling with internal wiring and a pouch for storing a battery. It holds your gun and your battery :)

I have an ICS, and I love it. I do have a reinforced ICS aluminum gearbox, so I'm not worried about cracks or anything. I do like that ability of the prowin gearbox to accept aftermarket bodies.

I think the only benefit of this gearbox is that it can be used with regular aftermarket bodies. However, ICS's V2 split gearbox can't accept after market bodies :( Like mine.

Whorify, a few questions,

1) They claim the spring takes under a minute to change. is it simple enough to do AT a field? (as in, between a CQB and a field game, change the spring from a CQB velocity to a field velocity that quickly)

2) I have some experience as a tech, but not very much. Would I be able to change the spring without problems?

3) Can the systema internals that come stock with the GB handle a matrix magnum motor and a pdi 170% spring?

4) does it come with the hop up?

@Whorify A MOSFET extends the lifetime of your trigger module...at higher voltages, electricity arcs between the contacts and oxidizes them. A MOSFET remedies this by allowing a smaller voltage to pass between the contacts which triggers a higher voltage from the battery to the motor. Reduced arcing = reduced oxidation = increased usage (which is the reason I installed a MOSFET into my gun).

there's a big difference from a CNC'ed Aluminum gearbox to a potmetal ICS gearbox.

This is a PGC Prowin gear box (go google it) that can take a real 500+ fps upgrade without cracking.

Actually the ICS gearbox is not significantly stronger than a normal V2 shell. The reason is that while ICS reinforced the sides of the shell they failed to reinforce the front of the mechbox and they made the cylinder head pins too far back such that they fail and then the cylinder head crashes through the front of the mechbox shell rather than cracking it on the sides.

Oh and FYI about the prowin. It is an order of magnitude stronger than the ics shell. I run over 700fps in mine.

id love to know why you say its a special gearbox , its just a ics m4 slipt / hot swap gear box thats been anodised , and by the looks of it mate , cylinder is standard due to bronze colour , and also the gears ARE definately stock , and also just so you cycling the mech box around like that wears them down due to air and dirt getting inside the bearings and gears

You can't anodize potmetal gearboxes and ICS doesn't have an intergraded hopup unit into the upper gearbox.

and red is usually for outdoors longer range. high torque for heavy springs higher fps slower rof.

I am not talking about this gearbox LOL. Look at the guy that I replied to codzilla12. He said that I am getting the Matrix gearbox with an M150 spring which will allow it to go 440-500 fps and that is who I was talking to because, with that high of an fps in a Matrix gearbox will not be a good choice. Only 500 dude my JG is custom is and is modded to about 630 fps. BTW you can make an AEg shoot up to around 750 with extensive modification.

You can make AEG's go a lot higher then that with the right kind of equipment, it's just useless unless you wanna kill rabbits. Your JG is going to break. Those gearboxes aren't made to handle that stress, no AEG is. The tappet plate will crack, gears will shred, etc. It's just bad ju ju to have something that strong in a gun that's built for a max of 400.
