  • at 5:00 when he sings 'i see a little silhouetto of a man..' there's a silhouette of a women in the backround :)

  • Try and find a really well known acoustic performer who is good as Newton. He isn't my favorite artist by a long way. But he is really underrated and is actually 100000 times better than most big artists. For example i prefer Ed Sheeran but in reality Newton is much more talented.

  • As a huge queen fan I'm not sure what I was expecting when I spotted the title.

Yes he has talent but I was hoping for something more.

It's just some guy singing BH on his own.

I thought this was how everyone sung the song when they were listening along to it ?

Still props to him for having a go.

  • Well done that man!

  • "ELOW ELOW!" hahah xD

  • great. =D

  • I love him.

Thumbs up if you feel the same way!

  • nice :)

  • has anybody else noticed that as he says, "i see a little silhouette of a man" at about 5:00 a silhouete appeared on the right in the glass...? freaky bit of coincidence there :P love a bit of Newton :D

  • i don't think i would ever have the balls to do something like that...

  • He's not American and he's awesome, okaaay~ I'm pretty sure he doesn't do this for this little whose "thingy" is bigger ordeal. Just sayin' stfu and enjoy. =]

  • His guitar skills are crazyyyy .

  • Wow his spin me right round, fucking amazing :P

  • IF u LOVE accoustic songs and great guitar playing then u will LOVE the song SOULMOBILIN or MEDITATING MELODY both great songs, keep on rockin!!! :)

  • i prefere the queen version but there's nothing stopping this version being amazing <3

  • why are you so amazing?

  • why in some parts does he remind me of jack black in tenacious D?? xD but this is epic :)

  • watch out 3:01, , ,lmao!!!! but it rocks!

  • I'm usually a huge metal head. Newton is one of the few artists i make an exception for.

  • You think? Should look for Edgar Cruz playing Bohemian.

  • @riskens 10 billion % agree xD real guitaring :)

    although newton isnt bad ^^

  • I could eat him.

  • amazing!!!

  • probably the greatest musician ive ever seen in my life...

  • Absolutely, crazy (: I LOVE IT (:

  • Went to Oxegen last week and early sunday went to the main stage to see what was on, and it happened to be this fella! I hadn't heard him before but since then ive not stopped listening to his music he is unbelievable! nobody does a cover like he does it!!!

  • stop talking lets sing

  • Man I love this guy! :)

  • he should probably learn the lyrics before covering it on a national radio show

  • @guitargeek57 I thinks he finds it an improvement to the song, he always makes the same mistakes in his performance of this song(at least the ones I saw) ;)

    R.I.P Freddy Mercury

  • Omg...

    AWESOME!!!!!

  • Anyone from Buffalo can relate, does this guy at times sound like the guy who sang the Ottawa songs for WGR (on lines like "now I've gone and thrown it all away", etc.)

  • A few words are wrong, but still a phenomenal performance.

  • The fact one man, newton can pull this off shows his brilliant skill, even Queen used a backing tracks for some parts when performed live. As a guitarist myself he is my idol and main inspiration, a legend in my eyes.

  • vaya puto crack!!!!

  • jokes, he doesn't know the words!! still amazing :)

  • That was really great, and the you spin me was also pretty good.

  • This dude rocks

  • i tell you whats nicest about watching and listening to this very talented man :)

he clearly loves what he does

and it reflects into his music, he approaches all of his covers with respect with to the origonal artists but mixes in his own blend of humor and style

  • Great! Almost reminds me of Jack Black, but New, Fresh, and better? Thank you for sharing.. I enjoyed watching! Good Guitar, Good singing! can be humorous! I gave you thumbs up! so much talent, but more than that... i sense some humor.. or .?

Good luck, and god be with you!

  • @drunkdified

I would say jack black is funnier but this guy is better at guitar :)

  • @LeeSmellyFingers he not ment to be a comedian

  • @MrThompson1976 Yeah I know I was just saying. Infact jack black inst a comedian I dont think (as in stand up etc) he is just a funny actor :P

  • @LeeSmellyFingers tenacious d started as a sort of stand up they sit on stage with a guitar singing funny songs newton faulkner only does a couple of covers it doesn't make him frankie boyle

  • Newton faulkner you hero

  • he's not shit, he's THE SHIT. this guys amazing. :)

  • Amazing! (:

  • Saw him at Hammersmith Apollo weds and he was awesome! This is the best cover ever!!!!

  • 4:59 i see a little silluette of a woman xD

  • @sk8borntodie that's not what he sings....

  • @mallan824 just look at 4:59, look at the door

  • @sk8borntodie hahahaha. that's well timed. Sorry, I thought you were criticising Faulkner and that is something I hate. I realise now that you were not so that's okay. This man is a genius. :D

  • Cool Version Newton, Good Guitar Work!

  • i would go as far as saying thats better than the original

  • qe gilipollas qe eres

  • la de queen es mejor

  • yea f*>king name it wanker

  • OK! ...tell the type of guitar?

  • wow amazing. thought his other cover was good then watched this. just amazing.

  • Newton has an exceptional voice

  • Decent...He strains on many notes in this video, and he does that classic trick were he changes his voice to a rock-type growl when he knows he can't reach the high register...not to say I'm better.

I went on to watch some other videos of Newton. Still not entirely impressed with his voice...good guitarist though.

  • .... truly amazing.

  • that guy is a ledgend

  • I can't believe he's only 25 ... he looks a lot older to me.

  • shivers up my spine. no joke. fuckin amazin.

  • That is AWESOME I can't belive this is the 1st time i have seen him

  • F... off ! for those who said he s SHIT! dude he s awesome! tell me one guy that recently appeared on the music world any american any one, he s awesome and young! i dare anyone who made coments to do the same and post the video!

    10!!!

  • @LucianoTaka

Hes good but he's nothing special. There are loads of people in the industry capable of this, it's just that they made bands, because they wanted to offer more to the evolution of music than some crusty, self centered 'singer songwriter' acoustic tripe.

Imagine if Dave Grohl was only in it for himself! if he only ever played acoustic on his own.

Imagine what this guy could be if he was willing to collaborate and share the glory a little.

  • @mattmit maybe he doesnt want to be a boy band member?!

i 100% appreciate his acoustic music and his talent!!

  • @mattmit He's nothing special? Do you have any idea how hard it is to do a full bands work on one wooden box with strings on it?

  • @mattmit

Love to see YOU try and do what he can MATE!!!!!!! - Alisin

  • @alisin75 I'm not denying his ability, just wish he would collaborate a bit more and take his ideas further, seems a little bit of a waste.

  • @mattmit Maybe he's just happy working and enjoying playing at the level he's at? He's pretty mega talented as it is...

  • @mattmit

  • @mattmit

"nothing special?" i don't believe there are too many artists out there that have these guitar skills AND singing ability. "evolution of music?" this if guitar evolution at its finest. what if tommy emmanuel joined some rock band and "shared the glory?" it would greatly diminish the spectacle of his guitar playing. some artists are a band by themselves

P.S. you are insane to compare dave grohl's guitar skills to newton faulkner's

  • @mattmit im sorry, you are so full of crap.

He is almost without any doubt in my mind the most talented musician i have come across and i have met him too, He is one of the kindest most genuine people i have ever spoken to. There truly are not hardly any people in the business who can play guitar, sing and songwrite to anywhere near the level that he can. Let alone all of them at once.

Im not even gunna say i want to see you better cos i know you cant.

    Thank you.

  • This guy is Englands answer to John Butler....

  • who the fuck is john butler?

  • DADGAD

  • Newton Faulkner is the shit!!!!! Freddie would be proud =D

  • @shoobie747 Freddie would fucking love him.

  • Anyone thats ever picked up a guitar will know how impressive that is

  • Ok, not really much of a fan of Faulkner, but to be fair to the guy, given it's literally just him and an acoustic guitar this really is quite good. I think the guys from Queen would probably approve....when they stopped laughing.

  • epic!

  • Damn man do some research before posting "facts"

    thad2829

    Mojoryan!

    Fighting ignorance since 2009!

  • no...it's Dead or Alive : You Spin Me Round "Flo Rida" is just another example of someone not doing there own music and people thinking it IS! UGH!!!

  • I know Right :/ it's sad isn't it :/.

  • Love him & I love his cover of this :)

  • I've got about halfway so far.. Subscribe if you want the tab I'll probably have it done in like a few weeks maybe more.. Busy man

  • WOW, that was sick!

  • Bohemian Rhapsody!!!

    Awesome

  • who is the original singer of the "you spin me" song?

  • billy idol

  • Nope.. It's an old Dead Or Alive song.. Pete Burns was the leadsinger..

  • Ive seen multiple performances of this song including having been privelaged to see one rather private show with about 10 other people. He gets the lyrics wrong every time. He does the same wrong lyrics, in fact, every time. This leads me to believe that since it is an interpretation rather than an exact cover, it is done intentionally. Lets face it, Newton is beyond great but Freddy Mercury's writing is his alone.

  • newton is amazing, but he let himself down here. He squeaks, and gets the words wrong. but he is still amazing, just shows he is human too!

  • give him a break :P

  • no because he realises that no one ever, even if they were hand built by robots, will ever be able to sing this like freddy did and so he's just having fun with it and singin it like we all do when we've had a few. XD

  • but its still a fair testement

  • he is awesome

  • Unreal, fucking love Newton's stuff!!

  • this is amazing

  • just enjoy it for wot it is,the man is talented, yas shower of cocks

  • lol love bob and tom

  • for MEEEEE, DISTORTION HAHA!

  • this is unreal!rock on newton.its so hard to play a different melody on guitar, while singing a different one,cus you have to concentrate on both singing and guitar!rock on newton!

  • tit

  • then you clearly cant play guitar ?

or sing? :S the vocal range this man shows alone is exceptional. and he has fun with it :)

  • He's alright but as you can clearly see most of his chords on the fast parts he plays the whole fret with only one finger(which are not chords per se,just a quick attempt to mimic a real chord)nothing wrong with it...but then again nothing impressive..freddie mercury could play the real chords on the piano(on which I agree it's not the same thing as a guitar) but he DOES the REAL chords... and the voice..again just listen to freddy mercury... can't beat that guy's vocal range..and he was human.

  • He doesn't sing it perfectly that's obvious. He has small problems with the lowest parts, but he does a hell of a great job anyway. Guitarwise, you need to take into account that he plays the guitar in dropped tunning - 1 that's his style, that's why a regular power chord can be played with just one finger 2 - it's easier to sing&play for him that way, he adapted this song to his style.

  • You try playing it then. Your saying that if someone played 'Flight of the Bumblebee' on a guitar, but they have dropped the tuning to mae it slightly easier, it's un-impressive? Think your arguments through.

  • you are an idiot.

  • newton plays most of his songs in open c with drop e thats the reason why he can play chords with just one finger covering the whole fret

  • or it might happen to be a fifth or a different modified chord you moron

  • too right

  • he is fucking great .... yeah =)

  • perfection

  • Amazing.

  • Holy God. I would love for just a tenth of the talent in that mans left hand.

  • newton = god

  • ace

  • 4th comment dude

  • :) nice job Newton

  • Good that was

  • niceeeeee
