  • Omg omg omg the werewolf looks absolutely amazing... You are amazing

  • *sigh* Isn't he lucky you don't have to be original or creative to do CG for movies. He'll go far I'm sure.

  • OMFG THAT SCARED THE LIVING CRAP OUT OF ME! I'M A WIMP the part when it jumped down did

  • OMFG THAT SCARED THE LIVING CRAP OUT OF ME! I'M A WIMP

  • Werewolf Wang spotted at 1:11. For a big guy like that, he's sure small where it counts.. Must be the lycan steroids.

  • that looks freakin awesome man, they should hire you if they make a remake of silver bullet

  • something i have learned without any schools ;)

  • holy bird is much better

  • How much would you charge to help me on a were wolf for a live action film?

  • dude that was awesome

  • 34 people need to be eaten by a werewolf.

  • This is amazing!!

  • Im looking for someone who can help me make new werewolf model for my mod for Oblivion game,so anyone skilled here is welcomed to help :D.

  • Awesome wolf.

  • omg .. its him...

  • Is it hard rendering fur for mini-vids like this?

  • If yall tried, would you guys be able to put um, like a werewolf with real live footage??? Just a question

  • They're SO cute! <3 ^^

  • thumbs up if want to know the music at the werewolf part

  • @WilyMAM jbhyub

  • now there is a male werewolf XD

  • and can you make a wolf transformation?

  • Can you make more wolves, and maybe a quick movie about it? :O

  • WTf is the music at the wherewolf demo? It's freakin' awesome =o

  • I am in my first year of university and I'm studying Digital Animation. I will be on completion putting all my animations onto Youtube. Even though I only have Animation created on Maya so far there are more coming.

I would really appreciate if people would subscribe to my channel or even just give me some constructive comments about them so i am able to enhance my skills.

  • I'm impressed, anything cool from Canada keeps on coming from Vancouver.

    :P

  • Was the guide hair created with maya fur or something else?

Thanks in advance if someone can answer my question

  • Warwick from league of legends

  • what program is this ?????pls tell me

  • @prototype0937 You can find the programs that Trevor used listed in the credits. He used Photoshop, After Effects, Adobe Premiere, XSI, ZBrush and Mudbox for this project. Thanks!

  • @VancouverFilmSchool holy crap! i only know to use only photoshop and a little bit after effects :D but this guy and his friends that make videos like this are very talented :)

  • this is where i'm going to learn my animation

  • thats amazing, now why couldnt the werewolves in twilight look like THAT? hehe

  • damn very nice work guys. especially the werewolf animation is so cool

  • Damn!

I am working a bit with maya but compared to that, my work looks like super mario.

  • Really really amazing stuff you got there, I'm subbing to you for this. I want to learn how to do stuff like this.

  • Sometimes, I wonder what happens to the werewolf after jumping off that vehicle. There's lots of guesses

    Could be out for flesh

    for destruction

or just out to plain scare the humans for fun. Hmmmmm... *thinks up some fictional romance drama between a werewolf and human.... oh yeah... it's good!*

  • @JaxLynnstarAnimate

Could be going off to screw over Pentex. I caught more than a hint of Werewolf: the Apocalypse from that short scene. If I were a 3D guy (too busy stuck in programming at the moment), I'd create a few short films illustrating a few different points. Putting unique characters in odd situations most people don't think of often (like a talk show) is great fun. Also puts that nice gleam in someone's eye when they realize they're actually amused to some degree or another.

  • The wolves were fugging amazing!

  • what is the name of te song, please = /

  • What easy to use and cool (Like the first werewolf animation) software you recommend?

  • I've seen a lot of great stuff from the Van's school.. why not instead of one person doing a 30 second clip.. why don't they get the whole class to make a GOOD movie (none of that deep artistic B.S. that no one gets, but a real movie) how long are we going to sit in the USA's shadow?

  • @TheSimon420 Now that is an interesting idea! There is actually some collaboration that we see between students in different programs such as in the compendium projects (you can find more on them on our YouTube channel). Hollywood may still be the top of the industry, but there is a reason why Vancouver is known as Hollywood North.

  • @TheSimon420 wait, canada's better than here

  • @TheSimon420 Just because you don't "get deep artistic B.S." doesn't mean there's anyone else who understands it.

  • What 3D software/s do you use at this school?

  • @oliversimonnet Primarily Maya and XSI, but students will also use ZBrush and Renderman for projects when they need to. Thanks!

  • @VancouverFilmSchool

aah ok, so they dont use LightWave at the school?

    thanks

  • Wow, this school produces some extremely talented students, indeed! I think I just added this to my college consideration list. It's certainly closer than my other college choices, which were in South Korea. XD But this school looks great. I'll definitely have to give it a look see...

  • I can't believe I'd never seen this before. Your lycanthrope is amazing, simply amazing. Perfectly proportioned, a proper mix (such a rare thing), and quite simply breathtaking and sublime.

  • Why does it seem that the werewolf and the tiger like persin at the end belong in a video game together?

  • What's Softimage XSI?

  • Comment removed

  • That werewolf/lycanthrope is BADASS! Reminds me of the awesome lloking ones in van helsing. BOTH are the foundating examples on how werewolves should look like.

Tail or no tail? That just an optional extra IMO. With, its more wolf like, without a bit more human like.

  • АХУУУЕЕТЬ!!!!

  • i have a question?

cause i have a robot model and i was trying to animate it but when i movie like an arm the arm disconects from the body ):

is there a way to change that? so it stays in position but you could be able to move?

    thanks everyone

  • Okay who the fuck is Brett Anthony and how do I contact him??I need to know the song for the werewolf!!

  • Wow, great stuff,dude.

  • The last character is sexy. 0_o

  • Do u have to have modelling experience to get in or do u teach from scratch?

  • @Devin6gw Check out our program requirements at vfs(dot)com/requirements. We don't expect experts at all and can teach you all you need to know, but it is good if you have some basic understanding of the key concepts or software before you get here. Thanks!

  • Whats the song when you show the werewolf model please?

  • Better than anything I've seen in a major motion picture!

  • How did Brett Booth react when he saw his Tiger Girdle drawing turned into a full model?

Still very nice modeling. I would adore to learn this but I can't seem to find a good school near me to attend.

  • @sigeram99 We have students from all over the world joining us here at VFS! For more information, check out our website vfs(dot)com.

  • i like it..

  • the car.... was.... insane!

question: hiw long had you been modelling for when u made the car?

  • @bluetounge Trevor created this reel at the end of his one year at VFS. Thanks!

  • @VancouverFilmSchool

o cool, also wot renderer was used for the wolf?

    thx in advance

  • Whats the name of the program and can I edit my werewolf in a video like attaking a human and make it real like a vampire wolf movie thing?

  • @inferolion Trevor created this reel while attending our 3D Animation & Visual Effects program. Find out more at vfs(dot)com/3D. Thanks!

  • what is the name of the first wolf song?

  • omg so awesome

  • Nice!

  • One of the BEST Werewolves I've seen in ages!

  • holy cow. i liked how you modeled the inside of the car... that was sweet.

  • Oh wow....I want to do this now :]

  • Werewolf looks very nice but, i think it looks a little too bulky, and needs to have more of a slim human appearance but... thats just me XD

  • Trevor huh.

  • first music please *--*

  • This work done by 1 person or more?

  • That toyota looks 100% real, wow, amazing work

  • Hope the first car had insurance

  • great but why did you show a real car in the middle of your models???........just kiddin

  • i like the wolf what 3d modelor could i use to make something like this?

  • @Bladevampirek

    Maya offcourse

  • nice... <3 the lycanthrope

    rendered using MR?

would be lovely and cool if i could animate the lycantrope man... woooo =)

  • yes it's great. The hair and everything!

  • Fact, Zbrush made organic modelling intuitive & easier. So showing of one's skills in non-organic modelling is a damn good idea. Of course, on the flip side, Zbrush just made that easy too.

  • BOUT SHAT MY SELF AT 0:20 LOL!!!

  • oh and btw, a lil WD40 would fix that suspension squeek :)

  • Amazing!

  • that was so AWSOME...you should make the wolf have like a breathing movement or something tho

  • To all of you aspiring 3d artists and modellers out there:

As head of HR for a video game company, DO NOT include cars in your demo reels. They are first year, bush league, nothing, and cause most of us (game company recruiters) to throw your reel aside.

I would throw this one aside. Don't argue. Accept it, and move on to something impressive.

  • @ pgheren.....i will throw u ...from youtube...

  • @ pgheran yeah u just have no talent that u cant make a game that can take his pro ass cars

THIS WAS ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT GOOD WORK GUYS LIKE USUAL

  • only because of cars, wtf?

wouldn't you like a great animation just because there's a car in it?

  • I know right, lol, Anyone who would leave out that wolf... Amazing.

  • You are lame.

  • First year? Bush league? Sorry, can you please tell me what those mean?

  • Oh yeah good idea. Ignore the clear talent for organic modeling and understanding of anatomy. "OOPS THERE'S A CAR IN THERE, SORRY NOT INTERESTED." I don't think anyone as thick as you could make it to "the head of HR for a video game company."

  • car is good to show hard surface modeling skill. so shut up. no body will listen to you. You are head of hr? I'm your boss, and you are fired. You prolly some kid with no talent.

The car model in this reel looks great, nice render too.

  • @pgheran What would the head of human resource dept. have ANYTHING to do with the creative departments? You guys handle paychecks, scheduling, and inter-personal matters, even if you do work where you say you work, you would have no real say in what the "recruiting dept." does. This person also created this through VFS, so they are more likely to get REAL exposure than through someone claiming yet again to be something they are not.

It's great work in all aspects!

  • the last character is awesome

  • Last character is just incredible!

I want to see it in motion with cloth physics, fur and environment! Gah!

    Cheers,

    Q.

  • @Qtittb Me too! : D

  • the last one could be "King" from tekken

  • Great work!

    Please Link the music used!

  • wow! the vfs is really guiding their students to become highly professional individuals!

  • without hair and colour wen the werewolf was grey he looked lik a big pissed off rat but hell dude that is badass im super impressed

  • ok cool now make the werewolf and the tiger fight

  • how the hell did he made his fur

  • using fur or particals.(different name in all programs)

  • Love that intro, that's fucking awesome!

  • Comment removed

  • wow... finish up the story dude... i loved it....

  • wow u are so pro...even can see clearly the fur....reali amazing....

  • why don't someone make a game in wich you can be a werewolf and you can go around in a city like in the first few seconds?

  • there was at one time White Wolf was going to do a game based off of their Werewolf game but that was canned.

  • What are the Bands/music used on this didn't see it in the credits.... Love the work too!!

  • yes ! yes NEw furry Artists out their ^_^

  • 1 question..How long did it take?to make t?

  • Wow, LOVE the werewolf! Absolutely amazing!!!

  • that's sick:X ... simply adorable!! nice sound nice efect! very good!!

  • Isn't that tiger at the end from Tekken? lol

Anyway, very nice models. nice music choices

  • no , have a nice music choice

  • 4r reasl u guys need make like a fighting game with this monsters haah that ne dope or shooting game!!

  • first of all, learn to speak english... second of all, those models are WAY to high poly for video games... so...

  • Your very good at organic modeling!

  • omg

  • Cool as hell. Looks incredibly professional.

  • it IS professional

  • Excellent!

  • That car was like...epic..fai...ownage:D well done on all of it. u can hold u head high

  • Wonderful

  • Oh wow! How beautiful! Wonderful Lycanthrope I've ever seen!!! * howl *

  • incredible! like most of the works from the vancouver film school! i wish there was an school like this in spain....... well done boy....one of my favorites reel!

  • go tu pixar right now!

  • strong, great anatomy. Well done, tell it to Trevor Tang

  • Bestia!!! xD

  • Awesome demo reel...a great example of how a modeling reel ought to be done!

  • The desing of the werewolf is amazing, too real and with an great anatomy. NICE!

  • that was the most awesome fuckin werewolf ever!

  • agreed!!! i would tap that haha lol jkes but it is fucking awesome.

  • use it for good?? hes not fucking superman u freak, its animation, why you getting wierd about a cool animation? jealous?? plus its for a course anyway. and clearly "so many intelligence" wasnt aplyed in your comment lol. what u mean new light in the spirit? its entertainment, entertainment sells.

  • Stay cool! Be professional and accept all kind of comments! If you feel you´re good, so don´t get mad. Be self confident!! ;)

Think about this: animation is a matter of dedication and technology, ideas come from the spirit, no matter if you agree or not.

  • The Werewolf in unbeleivable! Way to go!

  • whats the metal song from the wolf in snow???

  • that song isnt metal.

  • so what is it? whats the song?

  • i dont know but i know what metal sounds like and this isnt metal or rock so.. eh ll

  • the sound looks like a new metal song.

  • no. that is not metal. nor is it rock.

  • yes it sounds like 'new metal' !!!! damn it!

  • yes this is metal and is rock! this is heavy all the way... this isnt heaviest as your mom, but its still heavy.

  • this is definitely not metal. i believe its alternative music and falls into alternative rock as subgenre of rock since its has standard rock beat and guitar distortion. and no i don't like alternative rock but i love metal, so i know how to tell the difference. you can argue tho that this is 'nu metal' cos it sounds like linkin park, but nu metal is 'fake' metal and real metal listeners typically hate nu metal.

  • thas cool

  • Lol the first thing that popped into my head is that this guy could work for Underworld!

  • what are these songs. they are amazing. and so are the models. wow

  • hair and fur

    lmao

  • video de viado!

  • Great, but I prefer the tiger!

  • Wow man the werewolf and tiger looked awesome. Reminds me of the video game Bloody Roar. I always wanted to get into 3d modeling and animation just never knew where to begin do you do any tutorials?

  • Man i wonder how long it took to render these works of art.

  • hey that was awesome

btw which software did u used to make that warewolf?????????

    amazing wrk

  • very good

  • What software that was used? Maya 3D?

  • yea they use maya for 3d visual effects

  • In this case, XSI, actually.

  • Oh I asked this question before and someone said it was done it maya. My bad.

  • No problem! The truth is, we don't view the differences as being all that important. In this particular case, the software's listed at the end of the reel's credits.
