well just learn to snake, chapt 1 is not so hard you can also turn around if you missed one, thats what i did. and on 8 you just have to get all the mines on the first round, then your clear to beat him. and 9 is also winable if you try to snake the course and try it for like 5-10 times

you need to have your settings to all Accel, and press r button and stick to the right and L button stick to the left, continuously

You make this look so easy! I can't beat this chapter on very hard for the life of me. I've beat all Grand Prix cups on master and I've beat all story modes on very hard except for chapters 1, 8 and 9. I've beat 1, 8 and 9 on hard but can't quite get it on very hard.

The path i choosed is safe.

You can notice i miss capsules sometime but my path allow me to recover it in the next lap.

Only few capsules are really mandatory on each lap.

If you snake fast enough you can even turn back once (if you miss a mandatory one) and finish in time.

And you can't even not snake (nor boost) in the most difficult spots

So yes, it's difficult to hit the capsules while snaking, but the strat i used helps a lot.

Snaking is very easy. However, I think it can wear out a GameCube controller before you know it. I personally use my crappy controller so I can save the springs in my good controller for levels like Trident. Set car acceleration to the highest setting all the way to left of graph. You snake by simply steering left as hard as you can with pulling left trigger and steering left with controller. You then steer hard right pulling the right trigger and sterring right with the controller. Then repeat.

Alternate from left+L to right+R really fast so the ship makes a swerving motion about as wide as you can on a given part of a given course.

The only tip is do practice.

Learn some basic snaking with blu Falcon then try this challenge for 1 hour.

If you fail, try the day after and so on.

No need to play many hours in a single day: the brain need some days to master the right timings.
