  • Hi, do you know how Frenchmans Creek got its name?

  • @hwats0n Hi, there is a Face Book page dedicated to Frenchman's Creek and this is from Wikipedia:

"Frenchman's Creek is a 1942 historical novel by Daphne du Maurier. Set in Cornwall during the reign of Charles II, it tells the story of a love affair between an impulsive English lady and a French pirate."

I believe that the name Frenchman's Creek stuck following the novel but as to what it was called before this I'm unsure... If you find another name for the Creek then let us know...

  • This is such a lovely video, thanks for posting ~~~
