  • I know what can stop the arguing, I know the answer!

    EMILIE AUTUMN = IMOGEN HEAP!

  • Just listening to a few of her songs, I find she's is quite amazing.

  • Where were these gorgous songs all my life? i now realize that all that Ke$ha, pop rap crap really doesnt have any meaning to it. i always knew their lyrics were all the same and had no meaning, but now i have something to compare them to, they sound good, okay, but is that enough?

  • Oh my sweetest muffins! YouTube have taken down the Misery Loves Company video! No fair YouTube! X(

  • @Moonwatcher19 Whyyyyy would they do such a thing? D:

  • I prefer her instrumentals. Nothing against her voice it's good... to me it's just like she's trying to shove way to many words in one sentence ^.^;

  • @xhxixdxexmxex666 I think she does that because there is a lot to say.. But I like her instrumentals more too. Not because I don't like the lyrics, but I have always liked instrumentals. I especially like creepy classical music...

  • @MickyMouse2277 Yes, I like creepy classical music too. Yes, I understand that there is a lot to say but there's just some songs where I'm thinking breath already.

  • Beautiful song I love her voice it touches me deep in side

  • Where did you get that pic? I SO want it as my wallpaper...

  • plague rats are actually really devoted fans that 'spread the word' of EA ^_^ get it? like the rats in England had spread the plague?... yea..

  • emilie autumn isnt brilliant. shes a genious.

she is not pretty. she is beautiful

she doesnt sound good. she sounds perfect and great.

she isnt talented shes more than talented.

she doesnt need more viewers. shes already famous. and we dont want her to have paparazzis following her around, who else agrees?

    ~ ~ ~ ~PLAGUE RATS~ ~ ~ ~

  • @kimuiShaynne wtf is up with the " Plague rats " ? your the second one I see commenting on a video from EA about fxcking plague rats :S. Rats have nothing to do with EA!

  • @6Craziness6 umm.... plague rats is the term used for us fans who love Emilie and all her work, so it kind of has everything to do with her....

  • @jesseplasmius I thought she called her fans MUFFINS... O___O wtf

  • @6Craziness6 Why can't she use both terms? rats kinda have...EVERYTHING to do with EA...

  • @creepybatzi Okay whatever I dont really care actually.

  • @6Craziness6 Sorry to dig this month old comment to the surface but Muffins are fans. Plague rats are those fans whom have taken to spreading the "Plague"

Most people take that to mean her music and EA in general. I personally take it to not only mean her music, but the ideology and meaning behind her lyrics, lifestyle, music and message. Listening to much of EA is an almost spiritual experience for me, and for a few plague rats I've talked to. Think of me as spreading EA like a disease.

  • @jkhaleel Than I'm a xD! Yeah I think the same about her music. She's amazing ♥.

  • @jkhaleel I always thought that plague rat came from the icon that wingedzephyr used to have that said, oh, yeah "Proud to be a Plague Rat"...

  • @6Craziness6 Plague rats= Ea's Fans~

  • I heard the song that all are saying that is sooo similar, and Is just... emm a little but just a little similar, like all the songs of same tone... so no copy

  • Does this remind anyone of Beauty and the Beast or is it just me?

  • Imogen Heap broght me here. I love Emilie's talent just not my type of music.

  • love this song

  • I Just Love This Song<3 Emilie In My Hearth Forever:3

    -Amalie

  • @DollyDollsVideos Your spelling is awful lol xD Joke ♥

  • It SCREAMS "Candlelight" By Imogen Heap!

  • @IridiumCanvas Not really...I like both of them, and this doesn't seem like Candlelight?

  • Stuck in my head.

  • I don't know why but this song reminds me of The Slit Mouthed Woman :D

  • @left4deadlover123 thats so weird me too :D

  • @XxMagicalKittyxX I love the movie :')

  • @left4deadlover123 just for that i subbed you

  • @XxMagicalKittyxX Thankyou :) I shall sub yuu to :')

  • There is something strange about her voice in this song. I love it.

  • Guys, I love EA as much as the next plague rat, but please STOP with the radio talk. EA is NOT made for the radio in any shape of form. The common public has 'common mainstream trash' on the radio because it suits them. I'm NOT saying all mainstream is crap, just a lot of it. Anyway, artists like Hammerfall, Nightwish, EA, Within Temptation, Kamelot, among others could NEVER fit the radio. Only the supreme part of our population could truly appreciate them for what their worth, not common trash

  • @xskullxkissesx They play Nightwish on the radio here in Finland... xxD And 12 years old girls listen to "Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga and Nightwish" (and that was quote from a "looking for a letterpal"-text or whatever english people call them. (Plus, there's this station called "Radio Rock" in Finland whick plays mostly metal...)

Oh, and they Within Temptation too, I think. In mainstreet channels. (I'm not 101% sure, 'cause I don't listen to those channels often)

  • @xskullxkissesx Write this mesage to all the Emilie vids, 'cause someone must stop that thing of "thum this up, for EA radio...."

  • @RealWizardClown I dont want to be a thumbs up whore but I do agree with you on this comment. IF SOMEONE COPIES MY POST, please give me credit :)

  • @xskullxkissesx I agree with the radio part, but it bothers me you think were supreme to others just because we like a different genre of music about different things. Nobody is common trash just because they like pop. Tasteless maybe, but not trash. And some pop music has just as much meaning as some of EA's songs. Though too many are booty be shakin songs. :| Point is music is made for people to relate and express themselves. Just because someone likes different genres doesn't make'em trash.

  • @0Goshikkurorita0 I didnt say all of it was. I said most mainstream was crap. All im saying is that a lot of people only listen only to the beats/melody of a music and decide only on that if they like the music or not. Few others tend to look/listen deeper into a song.

  • @xskullxkissesx Everyone you listed is favorites of mine, and many many many many many more in those genres rock on skull!

  • @xskullxkissesx So you think radio should continue to pump out the same old pop-ish crap and not be changed? And that music from those in your list, etc., should be listened to only by the worthy and elitist? This seems very, very wrong. 'Common trash' probably aren't, and may listen to the music they love. For ever.

  • @FlamingParanoiaSpoon All I'm saying is that it's very difficult for some people to appreciate EA. A lot will just go 'OMG different! *changes station'. Others would actually care to listen to her and would be intrigued. Sometimes it's difficult to find people who actually look at the artist as a whole (i.e. lyrics, live performances, audience appeal during live performances, melodies, style of vocals, etc...). Many judge artists just by listening to the first 30 seconds of a song.

  • @xskullxkissesx I agree but where i live which is AZ, WT is played all the time on the radio.

  • @BetrayalsOfficial O.o holy shit nuggets is all I can say that XD

  • @xskullxkissesx

you could not be more right. I not think that EA fit to the radio, the radio is more for the pop then for the music with this much soul. so i totally agree with you on this.

  • @TheKoharuChan lol just look at my thumbs up on the comment. It screams that many plague rats agree with me XD

  • @xskullxkissesx agree with everything you say, but Hammerfall? :S

  • @TheMTG666 I love hammerfall :3

  • @xskullxkissesx xD you guys are ridiculous. All you anti-mainstream trash. You're all hating like teenagers.

  • @xskullxkissesx But not to be elitist or anything, right?

  • @REALMozared I'm just speaking out for what seems to be clearly a lot of plague rats that agree with me that EA is NOT radio material XD

  • Such a beautiful song. The begining is like a a fesh breath.

  • why would you dislike such a song and SUCH AN ARTIST ?!

    Fuck all the haters !

  • I can not describe how much this music is part of me, like all the songs from Emilie. Her songs, oh my God, it's like she knew everything I feel. It's like she turned into music all that is within my heart, all that is hidden deep inside me.

    Thank you, Emilie.

  • @GouByu i know right?

  • <3

  • Beautiful isn't a good enough word to describe this song.

  • Want to get EA on the radio?! I certainly do!

I think EA fans across North America should get organized & call radio stations on a specific day & time to request the SAME song by EA.

Visit my channel for details about voting. Give this a thumbs up if you think it’s a good idea & so other fans will see it.

    <3 EA

  • Ahh, all this time I thought she said "You have watched as I pulled myself from a thorn." I think that fits also...

I love this song... I feel such a deep connection to it... so sad.

  • Guys, would you please stop comparing 'Candlelight' by Imogen and this song as if Emilie stole it? It's getting very irritating. I've listened to 'Candlelight' and I hear some similarities in the chorus but that is it! The lines don't resonate at all either. Haven't any of you been inspired by a song or poem or even picture that you made your own version of it? The similarity is so minute that there's no copyright and could very likely be a coincidence.

  • @RobinTeenTitansGO1 Art has always inspired more art, and unless there is a direct theft it is purely inspiring not unoriginality. You are right they are wrong, while similar it is clearly at most only inspired by, and I might add beautiful s who cares where the idea started?

  • Everytime I hear some of her songs I said that this is my fauvorite, but then I hear thousand others and it's always the same. So I can't tell with sure what's my favourite song of her.. I love all of them! <3

  • I CAN HIT HALF THE NOTES!!!!!!!! HURAYYY!!!!

  • This is just a coincidence, but did anyone else hear a striking similarity between this song and "Candlelight" by Imogen Heap? I'm sure it's just a coincidence, no copyright infringement. I just think the key, melody, and chord progression is similar. And the first line of the chorus: Would you t(ear my castle down/ake my candlelight)?

  • @SapphireSiren It seems that she made this with Candlelight in mind. It may have been subconscious. Emilie has a better voice though.

  • @CaletheMrActor That would explain it, certainly. I think they both have different styles that you can't compare, really.

  • I've turned a lot of people into Plague Rats with this song...

  • nobody thinks this sounds like candlelight by imogen heap?....i dont know who's was first they're both great but....

  • @itsjimmy2012 this song samples imogen

  • Ick...

  • i love this song =) what is it about does anyone know?

  • @loveignites1 this song is well..about heart break. how she let someone in, and they tore her down from the inside. Emilie has had a rough rough past and frankly her songs, portray little bits and pieces of her past, in each and every song.

  • @LinHaine yeah ik, i love her music =) alottt

  • @loveignites1 agreed ^^ She is my IDOL 8D

  • @LinHaine lol =) i dont really have a favorite but if i had to choose it would be Shalott =)

  • Dear Replay Button,

I'm sorry for raping you... With love, Mesonox

  • @Mesonoxianic omg that was good XD

  • Aleister was a noble man who had a private mansion in Scotland now owned by Jimmy Page......

  • @Underworldisis1 What the hell? You are completely distorting what I'm saying. I never disagreed with your Pagan idea nor did I say that I knew Emilie better than you. Rape is a liable meaning of this song but there are many other meanings, like yours, so I don't see the point in dismissing them. And I meant Pagan when I said she isn't religious; I've read her biographies. Now you're spurting all these eclectic things and have the pretentious idea that I should know what they are?

  • BTW if you didn't know the song " Chambermaid", is about Aleister Crowley the infamous Beast & self proclaimed Satanist. There is reference to her being "out of place". She proclaims not to be the Chambermaid & states " Your NOT my LORD", implying she is the authority. Aleister Crowley is associated with riding the " White Horse" you hear it in an Ozzy Osbourne song called "Mr. Crowley".

  • How do you know WingedZephyr is not Emilie under a pen name? I'd say he has 6 wings, a Seraphim Angel known as Zephariah. Then again you may take the meaning that he is rapist out of this....

  • There is an old pagan remedy called, " 4 thieves vinegar". 4 theives didn't die from the plague because they had it supposedly oh what a wives tale! If a major clan has an issue & goes on a feeding frenzy ppl will drop dead quickly appearing to have contracted a highly contagious disease.

  • Those that don't die from the cough & respiratory conditions typically die of enlarged heart. It mimicks so many illnesses & mortal Dr.'s don't know squat about Vampyres. The band Scooter has a strange video remake of a Billy Idol tune with Victorians in it that quimsically hysterical you might wanna check out.....

  • What that means is if you take the Immortal Kiss & die by a Vampyre Bite, when you rise some of the symptoms are your face turns as red as beet typically & you go into a serious respiratory condition with sweats & coughing & you will die if you don't get blood at that time. If a seasoned Vampyre doesn't look after you you die for good. It claimed a lot of lives in a war between Mortals & Black Family long ago......but that is old history.

  • Not a Christian? Apparational Faith & Screaming to my God????? Swimming through the sea of painful- The Sorrowful Mother & the Fish Emblem of Jesus Christ on every damn bumper sticker!! Oh btw a Plague Rat is the Black Plague otherwise know as another name for Consumption most notably a Dark Ages Sanguine Slaughter but yeah whatever.....

  • A tower is a high place in the " REIGN". Lyrically it raises the question if she had anywhere else to go would they break her? She has no choice but to rebuild. It means she had several thrones but the theives took it all. She explicitly mentions royalty in that one live interview so clean out your ears.....

  • Self promoted to the fucking throne GET IT NOW????

  • Somehow I just don't equate Castle's & Wind aka Air (Heir) with rape. I think perhaps you should see her interview about Wayward Victorian Girls.........

  • @RobinTeenTitansGO1-I don't see how rape is betrayal its a violation of ones body. How do you know she is not a religious person, you seem to think you know her better than I do........?

  • man

, i wish all her songs were this good..

  • Where do ppl get that this song is about rape? Jeez don't you listen to the lyrics & see the video picture of a rose with spattered blood? Don't you know anything about religion to know that the Red Rose is associated with Mother Mary, the blood of the Chalice represented by the spatter?? Do you know what sub-rosa hidden means? How Christianity took away the Goddess & sometimes the church oppressed significant women? Its about God & Royalty & family treason tearing her castle down!

  • @Underworldisis1 I don't want to start an argument here, but I think you should allow people to get their own meaning. The tone could easily be associated with rape because it talks of helplessness and betrayal. Emilie didn't associate the blood-spattered rose with this song, however. It's just a picture that WingedZepher put as the background; it hasn't anything to do with the song. Emilie isn't a religious person anyway, but if Paganism is what you get from the song it's completely acceptable.

  • this is so powerful! i really like her music

  • COMPLETE RIP OFF OF IMOGEN HEAP "CANDLELIGHT". Listen to it, people.

  • @soundslikestu This song has been around waaaaay longer, dearie.

  • @blackxveiledxbride91 Completely untrue. Candlelight came out in 1998, whereas this came out in 2003. Just listen to the two songs.

  • @soundslikestu I did listen to that song and I do see a similarity in the chorus, but that's it. Haven't you ever been inspired by another artist or poet or singer to make something of your own to that tone? The similarity could even be coincidental since it's so small. And the lyrics and music are different as well so I can't see how that's a liable rip off...

  • A copy of 'Imogen Heap - Candlelight' ? I think so.

  • @LoveIsBitterSweet77 It might be her insane talent. I want it so badly :(

  • somthing about EA makes me long for somthing, and im not sure what, but I know I'll never have it....

  • @LoveIsBitterSweet77 Never shall thyne say never it could happen if its ment to be :) trust me on this ive been there :)

  • @LoveIsBitterSweet77 Even if things seem impossible.. hope can come from unexpected places...

  • @LoveIsBitterSweet77 dont say that you jus may get what you long for one day ;)

  • @Seelenschemerz2k I listen Emilie Autumn's songs because I think it's wonderful. And I'm not emo or goth at all. I'm just a girl who like good music. So, please, if you don't like, don't listen.

  • @jesaispasdutout72 thats one of the best things about Emilie Autumn! I'm into heavy metal (don't crucify me, trolls) and Emilie Autumn defiantly isn't 'heavy' in that sense. Music can bring people who are otherwise completely different together. The style doesn't matter if the person performing is saying something worthwhile.

  • Really touches me this does.

  • This song reminds me of a girl i'm talking to and i'm helping her rebuild her castle.

  • 30 people are upset because an EA pic not in this

  • Not enough reverb on her voice.

  • Justin Bieber made 27 accounts just to dislike this song.

  • Wooo....uh...ohh....

  • First time I herd ths song, I fell in love with it. Now I listen to this song every day.

  • Sounds way to much like Imogean Heap's Candlelight... Which came first?

  • L.O.V.E. this song :)

  • 2:50 I HEARD A RUFF O_O

  • Didn't like it at first, but it kinda grew on me. =P

  • The thing about Emilie Autumn...the first time you hear her music, you're not sure you like it. Then you listen again, and fall in love with it.

  • @0235aardvark You're right.

  • @0235aardvark THIS.

  • One of my fav. songs EVER! in the history of forever! I love Emilie Autumn :)

  • Still can't stop singing this song, not that anyone would want to. It echoes hauntingly through the castle of my mind.

  • when i was listening to this song and it got to the part where her voice was echoing... i was drawing a picture and it made me jump and look around. it scared the hell outta me! lmao. but i do love this song...

  • its thanks to her that im still going there was a point that i was in very bad state. and one day i herd her on the radio. and i thought i need to be strong like emilie. and now im in a good state ^.^

  • 25 people tore my castle down...

  • 25 people probably listen to Bieber.

  • Oh, this music is.. is...

    Powerful.

Emilie Autumn is the only-one I know who can portray what it's like to be broken, really broken - to the point that there's nothing left - in such a way.

    I'm speechless.

  • dammit, I got a nosebleed while listening to EA.

  • @laughingatarmageddon

Coincidence? Nah, just magical(!) music :)

  • This is the song that sticks in my head more than any of her other work; I find myself singing it everywhere that I go, walking, jogging, writing, cleaning, working, dancing, I love this song.

  • this words are so wonderfull

  • My mother sings this all the time around the house, Emilie you turned my 39 year old mother into A Plague Rat! THANK YOU! <3 ^_^

  • @TheMrsElric Yeah, my mom loves her too. so does my dad, my dad's girlfriend, my mom's mom, my mom's mom's friend, all of my friends, I love spreading the plague!

  • @TheMrsElric i wish my mum would sing emilies songs :) you are very lucky, you know ? :P

  • I love Enchant.... the music is truly amazing. I like the rawness of her opheliac type stuff, but.... Enchant is so.... i don't know.... poetic?

  • Truly beautiful, I generally prefer her more raw opheliac songs, but lately I've been listening to some from Enchant as well and they're really... I cant find a word right to describe their amazingness.

  • If you could only see my face... it is like O.O This reminds me about so much... I`m nearly crying... `cause of my own memories and few(ahem...20) books I`ve read... If you`d just see in my mind... well, you would be hell scared, but lets think it in that poetic way :)

  • konfliktfreie nähe-wunderbar-sonderbar und doch so wahr

  • 24 people got their castles torn down.

  • Comment removed

  • First song I ever heard by Emilie, and at first I didn't like it.

After actually listening to the words and the song again, I realised I did like it. Quite a lot.

Thank you for writing music that pierces my heart. Not much can do that, seeing as though a lot of stuff is just noise now.

  • Why this video have just 363,071 ??? I don`t get it ....

  • I know this song is about rape, but it reminds me of my father even though he's never done anything like that. I went through a horrible time at my mothers house and when I came to live with him I thought everything was going to get better. Now I'm falling even deeper into insanity because he's so mentally abusive and expects me to be perfect and self-sufficient when I'm still horrible damaged and trying to keep myself together.

  • @chibiplease Is it? I never got that-I know Gothic Lolita is. Where did you hear that?

  • i just discoverd EA and i loveeeeeeeeeeee her music

  • @theMiBeJe Oh my! You seem to have become a Plague Rat!

  • Somehow God pick my playlist to fit exactly what I'm afraid of or worried about, and makes it something I can relate to, something I can feel. Strange, Emilie is nothing christian, I'd say, but it's always something that helps me write, and helps me get rid of all those tough emotions.

  • I finally understood why the English fansite for EA is called 'Battered rose' after listening this song XD

  • @KeepingDeathAlive haha i know :P

  • @bazilisginger Don't put yourself down like that!

  • My favorite song of her <3

  • I hope she never goes mainstream =/ It would be good for her, but i dont want her to change like every band that did.

  • @keneefly Same. I hate saying that I don't want bands to go mainstream, but looking at all the bands I love that went mainstream, they did change completely.

  • 24 people need to control their arm spasms while they are listening to Emily Autumn

  • It's amazing that EA can do so many styles of music and they are all beautiful.

    @beadgirl9179 It's Emilie not Emily

  • @beadgirl9179

Funny that you wrote this one month ago and now the number is still 24 :)

  • @beadgirl9179 You Spelt her name wrong dearie its Emilie Autumn, you need to control your arm spasms while typing peoples names.

  • @Seelenschmerz2k You evidently haven't actually listened to this song. Or any of Emilie Autumn's music.

  • @Seelenschmerz2k and thats why shes famous? wow nice thinking oh smart one. I don't know what music you listen to but if you don't like this just leave you troll
