  • i probably use 100 different unique phrases that i 'once heard somewhere' that just became part of my vocabulary. people like al franken will admit they're not perfect, but they don't do it with any malicious intent. you can't really put him in the same class as the people he writes about.

    ...

    honestly....

    no really.

    ... this is a fact.

If you were both intelligent and honest you'd realize this.

  • I make allowances for spelling mistakes. However, misspellings are the least of your problems. You didn't refute my charges or discredit the evidence. Secondly, everyone knows that anybody can post a critique on Amazon.....Duh

  • See below. I misspelled excesses. Sorry about that. I read the reviews of your book on Amazon. Seems most people think you don't make your case -- i.e. that your books is not persuasive. Franken is honest and has had the courage to take on the RIGHT WING nut jobs. Good for Al!!!

  • I think your argument is absurd ON ITS FACE. Everyone knows the ecesses, the half-truths and the distortions of the Fox Network and the people that Franken discredits (Rush, Sean, Coulter, etc). Are you some sort of right wing "wing-nut" trying to Swift Boat Franken. Al is a good man and would be a great senator.

  • Thank you for your research. It is a shame that many voters don't care about the truth. They don't want to analyze the truth -- the prefer the lies that Al Franken spews.

Honest elections and protecting the votes of all citizens doesn't matter. Character doesn't matter. Character assassination does -- Franken does it well.

That is why Franken might eventually win in Minnesota. Voter fraud and lies -- if they help a candidate win, then that's what really matters.

  • Al Franken doesn't cite a few sources, so what? How can you possibly conclude that he lies, smears and deceives? More than 50% of university students do not properly cite their sources - by your logic, they must all be deceiving liars who use smears. When candidates make speeches do they stop and give credit to the staff member who wrote that particular part? Next time you try to grill Al Franken's character use material that actually supports your claim.

  • Not citing sources is plagiarism, that was the point of the video. His lies and smears were not part of the presentation.

  • "unimpressive examples"? Hmmm, when I brought these "examples" to FAIR's attention, they didn't accuse me of cherrypicking.

  • i'm not exactly sure why you went to the trouble of writing a book about this, but these are very unimpressive examples. borrowing a word or a characterization is not plagiarism. it might not be the most original wording i've ever heard but your cherry picking is kinda sad. get a life buddy.

  • I've seen the author before. He seems to have been diligent in his research. How anyone can take Al Franken as a serious candidate is incredible, but this is the state that elected a steroid filled lunatic wrestler like Jesse Ventura to the Governor's House (and no comparisons to Arnold who has proven to be a a legitimate choice by the people of California). Let's hope the people of Minnesota make the wise choice and elect the qualified candidate (Norm Coleman), and not Al Franken.
