More power to her, but the bar has lowered tremendously in recent decades. She is better than most, but she is no Andy Williams, Tony Bennett, or any remote female equivalent. Modern singers toss-away their lines. . they don't milk them as if they mean the message. They mistake trite vocal frills and trills for actual lyric / emotional content. In short, they don't know how to tell a story!

Yeah, she's pretty amazing. It is a bit obvious that this performance was early in her career. She's much more polished now. Even though she displays a few pitch problems, she's still an incredible talent. David Foster knows how to pick them.
