As Channel holder of this Channel, I find it interesting to see the Responses/ Statistics coming out from RUSSIA and IRELAND since February 2008, when I first posted these Videos. It makes me wonder if one or more of these Paintings are Somewhere in Russia or the British Isles. It is such a Cultural Loss not having these works in a Museum but in the arms of Theives for well over 21 years. What a Shame! There's a 5 Million Dollar reward if they can be found via contacting the Boston Authorities.

So many valuable masterpieces gone.

Sadly these guys probably made near nothing probably, maybe a few millions.. when they're true worth is hundreds.

okay, so i'm reading this book called the rescue artist right now, so i can answer this with crap that i've read.

okay, imagine if there was only one copy of every book in the world.

that's how art is.

there's only one copy of every single thing.

but since you dont appreciate the beauty of those art masterpieces, i cant really explain it.

Supply and demand like welovelucas said... 1 item is wanted by many people with lots of money. But try to think of it this way...Art is a testament to time and human existence, an artist, especially a great one like rembrandt gives a piece of his soul to his work. Try to look at the picture in a tranquil state and imagine rembrandt in 1600 something painting that picture, try to imagine for a moment that you are him or that you are the one he`s making that portrait of.

God, this leaves me fuming -especially the Rembrandt seascape and the Vermeer.

I'm almost as angry at the lack of security as I am at the thieves themselves.
