i love guinea pigs they r my dream and alos basiclly only females can bon together males born from the same litter or has been in the same cage with out fighting would be good hinwer

@hinwer It all depends on the piggies. Male piggies are harder to bond but from what I've heard sibblings are usually recommended.

@narutouzumaki1216 One had a stroke, one we are not sure why and the third one had been ill for a while. I've got quite a few older piggies and had a very bad year so far. Not looking forward to winter at all....

Aww they r so cute i got my ginea pig a week ago and he is so depressed because he doesnt have his brothers any more :( So we got a back of grids to make a bigger cage so we can get 1 of his brothers so he wont b depressed any more. I hope it works, Does any 1 have any tips for me?

@ilovejustin962 Congratulations on the new piggies. It's great that you are getting him company. They really prefer living together or at least living next to each other. What are their names? Check out skinnypigs1 channel, she's done some videos on introductions which unfortunately failed but very informative videos.

@Zoebabies They are now best friends i have 1 long haired and 1 short hair. The long haired 1s name is Boo and the other is bob... My mom thinks bob is her guinea pig now.. lol.

What kind of fleece do you buy? Wouldn't they eat it? I am looking into a cage like this it looks awesome!

@ahoedel Hi. I buy either fleece blankets from home ware stores or else from fabric shops. Just normal fleece will do but don't buy the extra fluffy stuff as that won't absorb anything. Fleece is great because it will let moisture through but not back up. My guinea pigs don't eat the fleece, but one or two adventurous ones find their way underneath it. Make sure to put either towels or newspaper underneath to absorb the liquid.

@Joechan2009 I have to clean their cage every day by replacing the top layer of fleece as they go anywhere in the cage. I give it a complete an thorough clean once a week. The good thing is that the cage is so large that I can stand in in to mop and hoover it out. I find it a lot easier to clean than commercial cages. Also my guinea pigs can free range but they only do their business in the cage.
