The Com Reinvestment Act attempted to, as for a time, manipulate the price of money which is the interest rate. The interest rate should be tied to the risk of the loan. This is exactly what a bubble is a spread between real and nominal value. The government created the spread between what the risk based interest rate should have been and what it was under the act. The bundling of loans made the damage hard to fix but was not the cause of bubble.
The Community Reinvestment Act made no provisions about interest rates. Please tell me where in the Act regulation of interest rates are specified.
The CRA made no requirements about interest rates, nor did it "force" banks to make loans to risky clients. In fact Title VIII Sections 802 and 804 specifically say that loans are to be made consistent with the safe and sound operation of the institution.

Because that's where he got his adopted name (i.e, his stepfather) Lolo Soetero. How the hell is it that small business, that we hope are making a profit, can't use their own profits and money from individual investors to expand rather than going in debt. If businesses start borrowing, they will simply have that much less in the future for expansion and growth, because much of their future profits will be used to pay off their debts to bankers with included interest fees (bankers profits)!

The Com Reinvestment Act attempted to, as for a time, manipulate the price of money which is the interest rate. The interest rate should be tied to the risk of the loan. This is exactly what a bubble is a spread between real and nominal value. The government created the spread between what the risk based interest rate should have been and what it was under the act. The bundling of loans made the damage hard to fix but was not the cause of bubble.

The Community Reinvestment Act made no provisions about interest rates. Please tell me where in the Act regulation of interest rates are specified.
The CRA made no requirements about interest rates, nor did it "force" banks to make loans to risky clients. In fact Title VIII Sections 802 and 804 specifically say that loans are to be made consistent with the safe and sound operation of the institution.

The government ass-raped the citizens to give money to the banks and then gave the banks NO guidelines with which to use that money. 60% with interest is a completely dubious number in much the same way that the number of "jobs saved and created" is. Get the net, anyone that says the government is the solution to these problems is retarded. The constitution has NO provisions about bank takeovers OR anything about taking over private businesses. These politicians are making their own rules.

Not to mention the fact that the "Bail Outs" were utterly pointless. All it did was give raises to the people who were responsible for this economic collapse.
Don't negotiate! We need to regulate the banks! Many of the previous Depressions were from bad practices of banks! The Depression of 1818-22, Great Depression, ect.

@isaactrio Then capitalism would be working as it should. Those workers might temporarily be inconvenienced and have to work harder for a while, but in a good economy, weak business structures must yield to the strong business structures if America is to have a prosperous/growing economy. By bailing out the weak, the govt' has perpetuated the problem, keeping the economy weak. The American economy has great potential...but the govt' gets the hell out of the way for recognition of that potential.
