My 2002 accord has 205,000 and runs like new . Of course i did get screwwed and had to,replace the tranny but i plan on going for 500,000 and i believe i will make it with my current setup.

All gondas from 1998 on up have bad transmissions including vans cars etc. other that that they are a greeat vehicle and very modern looking for any year. But they are second overall to Toyotas. I ve awned both. And still do.

this car is not fully loaded... if it was fully loaded it would have a navigation screen not a 6 CD/ Cassette Player.

@ca13814 We have this van, and I believe it is fully loaded. Honda offered the EX-L with either the CD/Cassette/DVD system, or a CD and Nav. If I remember correctly, they did not offer the navigation system with the DVD player at this point. 2002 was a long time ago. You also couldn't get a moon roof with the DVD, for the obvious reason that the screen sits where the moon roof would be.

@ca13814 they didnt offer a navi and dvd combo. they opted fo the dvd instead of the navi, so this is the fully loaded model. we have one, they never built them with navi and dvd system in one car it was either dvd or navi.

@StuntDoubleTheatre Actually, yup ! Those vans have one of the most unreliable transmissions in any van, ask a transmission shop, they are garbage. Never again a honda, terrible for word go.

I have quite a story to share. Old friends from Florida had a Green 1999 Odyssey Lx with 230,000 miles! They had driven it into the ground! Honda quality is unbeatable! It even survived being parked outside their garage during hurricane Wilma! Honda is the leader in quality and especially ahead of toyota at the moment!

We have one of these vans and its an 2003 model, just like this, EX-L plus RES (DVD) (and the -L stands for leather) and i did notice that our honda odyssey key was bigger, and at about 5:37, the dome light control was on the other side from ours, where your dome light control was is where our passenger airbag off indicator is, and i bet that nissan quest has been sitting there a long time (to the right of the odyssey)

We had one of these, it was horrible, it had a severe transmission problem when we got it, we fixed the transmission, and then the motor mount went bad, so we sold it. The one we had was an '01 EX.

yeah, the second generation oddysey is from 1998-2004, but they redesigned it so all the odysseys past 2001 wont have the 4 speed auto with lots of transmission problems, the 2002-2004 has enhanced rims, and head lamp covers so it wont turn yellow when shined in the sun alot, and the back taillights have changed from red to red, to red to orange, lol

A JDM Odyssey is one for the Japanese Domestic Market (or JDM), as opposed to that model, from the United States Domestic Market or USDM. The JDM is more technologically advanced, more sleek, only comes in a 4 cylinder, but looks like an Acura minivan. Looks like a TL or TSX mixed with a USDM Odyssey.

its not "fully" loaded it does not have NAvi and yes a 2002 can some with Navi if you look for "Cash for clunkers:" theres a 2001with navi :P
