Another reason is that Cubans are never put into social programs when they come to the US. Within hours of them reaching shores, there are Cuban families who will take these immigrant strangers into their home, feed them, clothe them, and find them a job. The Cuban community will do everything possible to look out for them and ensure they succeed without living off social welfare programs.
