Nice video. I put a video response to you above to show you the man in right hand seat. He is the last survivng Norwegian Gladiator pilot who fought at Fornebu airport 9th april 1940. He was then 89 years old and he also took the flight controls during our short flight. Last year he flew Tiger Moth as a pax

i think this was the plane Douglas Bader lost both legs in test flight?

A beautiful aircraft, and surpised it not used in early ww2 -its manouverability made it a very hard target to pin down-the Russians used a similar plane in ww2 which

shot down ME 109's -can't remember its name

Great the Norwegian airforce had 6 when the germans came, thats what we had only 3 was operational. belive it or not, we only shot a Dornier partly down ,it crash landed.

The "jet" sound comes from the whine of the propeller gearing & the whisting from the propeller tips. Hope this helps

Brilliant video - My late father served in the RAF as an engine/airframe mech. and was with 80 sqdn on Gladiators in Egypt and Greece in '39/'40. He serviced 'Pat' Pattle's Gladiator K7901 (South African top scoring air ace) Dad would have loved to see this video - Many thanks- an excellent composition.
