  • Ever since Ry Cooders version he and seemingly everyone who copied J.B.Lenoirs origonal, dropped one of the most innovative chord changes in blues. Listen to J.B.Lenoirs version, that chord at the 13th to 16th bar, is not B7 it's F# 7sus4 or to convey more easily (all six strings of the 2nd fret) try it - it's like sunshine... how could they all have missed that???

  • Great job! what is the tuning of your guitar?

  • open g?

  • Tried it on the guitar and it is open E

    E B E G# B e

Starts of with a reg A chord ( keep the high e open ) which is kind of a weird B

and then you do B blues ringing the high e all the time. Good basic interpretation of the song... I may tab the actual Mavis Staples Never Turn Back Version.... hope this helps.

  • ive been looking for a mavis staples version of this tab for ages. that would be excellent if you do
