If youre talking about the Beloit mall, you need to get a new measure of the passing of time. I graduate from Beloit College in the late 1990's and I know that you could still shop at Beloit Mall then because its where I bought my then gf's shiny, pretty little birthday present. You are right in one respect: i think if it werent for the College the town wouldnt be there...the students pump so much money into the economy. Whether you think its great or not, not a day goes by that i dont miss it.
Yeah i did overreact but I was also talking about the old Kmart. Delavan, a city of 5,000 lost theirs too but guess what? within a few months, if not a year or so they had new businesses in their old Kmart building.
