There both amazingly talented and give us all great art to enjoy, if they were from rock and roll or rap this would be a badge of honer let it rest.

It's so sad how Boy went down since breaking up with Jon. My heart goes out to him every time I think about it. But as far as the drugs are concerned, he most likely took them to better handle the hard life of touring. The Beatles initially had that very same reason. But we can't put them down or Boy either, when we haven't got a personal clue of what the pressures of fame are like.

@GoranMak The purpose of this video is that these two amazing talented artist they've been through a hell in their personal life with the drugs addictions they almost edstroyed their carrer and they manage to come back clean and stronger..They moved on alright..And for God's name, it's You Tube.Don't ask why someone make a video..That's what's You Tube is all about..

As a gay person who supported both of these artists with my time & money, they make me totally ashamed of EVER giving them one cent..only to have my money & that of others support their drug & criminal activities. They make ALL gay people look bad, and are NO role models for us.

@cultureclub538 The reason I care is I work with troubled gay youth..and many of them look at Boy George as a role model, whether George likes it or not. They see all the illegal stuff he has done & think that is cool & want to copy him. They also see how many of his fans could care less what illegal things George does & how he is still loved, & that gives them the message they can do all the illegal stuff they want & they will still be loved no matter what. That is a horrible message for kids.
@Nightbird I am also a gay man- I think you might underestimate the walls and barriers both of these artists tore down. They were both young, talented, sex and drugs thrown at them at every turn. With very few exceptions most artists that "make it" fall into the same trap. Some make their way out- ie Elton John-- but many others fall to human temptations. Can I say I would not of been the same given their advantages? Having not had them, no I can not.

But what I speak of is the Repeated offenses these men have made & continue to make NOW, not 20yrs ago. At some point in your life you have to stop blaming others, money, fame, whatever, and grow the hell up. These men are no longer young, & yet they continue to break the law repeatedly. They know what they are doing & get away with it. That is shameful.
@Nightbird I don't disagree- I think the bigger point I was trying to make wa sthat the love many of us feel for them has to do with the barriers they shattered while we were in our struggling years. Is their behaviour childish, misguided, dangerous, with no consideration for possible impact on others? In short yes. But I am a HUGE elton John fan, and lord knows he had his day as well- he grew out of that stage starting in the late 1980's- and today is one of the most generous stars.

Elton never solicited an undercover cop in a public mens room..or was caught smoking pot in his car like George Michael was. Elton never imprisoned & beat a call boy chained to a wall in his home until bloody like Boy George did..so bloody a judge who saw a picture of the victim called the crime disgusting. Elton only did drugs in private, so let's not compare him with these 2 please.
@Nightbird I have all 46 Elton records, and have seen him in concert5 times now. But he does not deny his drug/sex parties that went on for days. He (now clean and sober) speaks freely about buying blow by the pound, and went on tantrums firing people and demanding the weather be changed. The blessing is that through it all he continued to produce amazing music, and today he continues to be an advocate for AIDS, cancer, equal rights, and has become a poster guy for gay marriage.
@Nightbird He has been very open about his apologies to the persons he has hurt during that time of his life, including his former wife Renae. So, yeah I agree Elton is to be respected for having survived through the madness that destroys so many. Under the insanity of the early 80's, despite the crazy world he lived in, deep inside was the soul of a great man, I hope in time we will be able to say the same of both Georges.
