I love desiel amreps. nice work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i passed by Hollywood and saw #639. i went to a huge neighborhood and saw a bunch of nice Los angeles garbage cans.
0:33 one of the best "lid flips" ever. That first truck's violent haha makes me want to see these in person more
OH DAMN 6:37 so thats the greens truck you were talking about. Even a non-trash truck enthusiast would call that truck's sound "badass". thats fucken epic. plans confirmed :D
@Trashman242 haha I knew you would like the way that truck purrs :D Wait until you hear it going up the hills in chinatown, thats when we first saw it. Driving shots of that truck are just as fun if not better than operating shots!
@731npc haha I was in Burbank today actually LOL didnt find route day though, so I ended up filming in the La Crecenta-Montrose area. Dont worry though, Ill make it there some day! Its on my To-Film Summer list
If you want to PM me a route day and area I can try to make it out there in the next 2 weeks.
what happened buddy? couldnt find anything better to reply with and you wrote this crap? so you admit that being a garbage filmer is your hobby just like a garbage yourself. get a life and stop sleeping in the trash bins. it does not feel good when someone talks the facts huh?
@ctiscan haha. apparently your to ignorant to see the quotation marks which tell that I'm using your terms, not my own. keep on replying, this is very, very entertaining for me!
Only at 1:38 but this video's definitely what I needed lol...it's been too long!! Gotta love seein these quick Amreps combined with the 65g-size lid which can be flipped like 20 different ways. They may be everywhere, but I certainly like Rehrigs more than EVRII and I would totally despise LA if they had bought EVRII (or if they ever do)...at least Rehrigs lids flip easy
Thank you for filming up close at 2:15!! Terrific haha
Why the hell were cones on the grabbers of that one single axle? FAV
@Trashman242 lol the reason I filmed up close at 2:15 is that it wasnt the first time he had done that so I wanted to get it on film. Very clever way to get it where you need it. The cones were there (Im guessing) because in china town NOBODY calls in for new carts when there in alleyways and tons of them have crack arouns the gripper areas and the cones help make a larger griping surface so it doesnt punch through the broken carts as easy.
@3amrepmike3 Yeah I figured LA drivers have done that before, but I'm glad you got it really well so everybody on here can see. Nobody at ESD would be that good haha at least not that I've seen...too laid back here, at least for auto trucks; some greens crews it's a way different story ha ha
Really enjoyed watching this video, nice collection of trucks and shots... I had to watch 2:15 a second time; that was neat! Best engine sound for me would've been following 6:43, the meanest growl =] Also what was with the red grabbers on that single axle? The line at 3:45 tells you how to guarantee a closed lid; swing 'em round the other way haha Also with Chinatown, are there this many bins because of apartments / townhouses? Mad footage!!! Liked + Faved! Truck at the end was bright too!
@MitchellM15 yea, Chinatown is made up of tons of appartments crammed full of people on every street, with an almost 100% asian population (hence the name Chinatown) The reason most people dont recycle is that they have no room for recycling carts! Almost evey complex has about 15-20 carts and about half or more of them are just sitting stacked up out of the way to save space. I love the sound of that greenwaste truck but almost nobody here puts greenwaste carts out for collection sadly...
@3amrepmike3 Yeh we have a Chinatown in Sydney too, but jack shit residential area, it's all commercial and restaurants. Pretty stupid about the recycling carts being stacked, like wtf, why even have them there?!
@RainbowDisposal yea for some reason the audio got fucked up at that part of the video, not sure why though. It starts right after the image flickers. I dont know why it did that either. It was fine when I edited it.
@KFCOrBust Yea, we saw the guy do that little trick where he drug the cart away from a car before we were filming so we tried to find a spot where he might do it again since it was pretty neat. Im not sure what was up with the truck that has cones on the grippers but i guess it helps keep the grippers from punching through all the broken carts in the alleyways since nobody here ever gets broken carts replaced.....
@trashman771 There traffic cones with the bottoms cut off. I think it helps keep the grippers from punching holes through the broken carts in the alleyways since nobody ever replaces broken carts here
@Binboy97 not sure. There traffic cones with the bottoms cut off. I think it helps keep the grippers from punching holes through the broken carts in the alleyways since nobody ever replaces broken carts here
Awesome!! Best part about two people filming the same trucks is the different point of view, and if you miss something from the first person, then the second point of view is usually it. Did these trucks replace the older volvos down there?
