It is unreal how different the pumpkin beers can be. They really do range from super suck to really good. My favorite so far is from a little brewery in Selinsgrove PA. There's is the best and what I modeled my pumkin ale from.

I think Wolavers is the new version of their former Wil Stevens Pumpkin Ale, which was about 5.4%. Southern Tier Pumpking is one of my favorites of the style although I haven't had the 2011 batch.

I have to say Hophead is in a majority when it comes to pumpkin beers. They suck as a whole. Now you know why Halloween isn't a national holiday.
