Fielding is one of the dumbest stats in baseball, of course a stiff like Jeter isn't going to get to a lot of errors. You have to be in position to make a play for an error to happen, if your too slow to get in position then you can't get errors. The greatest fielding SS ever Ozzie Smith was top 3 every year in errors because he had great range and could get to a lot of plays
