I thought the cathode was - and the anode was + in Electrolytic cells, or I misinterpreted it?

I think the ANODE should be at the other side(right), Mr.Rosengarten.

@YINGAI1995 No...the anode is where oxidation takes place. Oxidation is taking place at the + electrode here as electrons are stripped from the hydrogen (or sodium or potassium) and being pulled into the + end of the battery.
