@athiestsshallburn each band starts using as templates older bands and then they build their sound from there by filtering their influences...Lamb of God sound for instance draws a lot from Pantera, Pantera sound takes a lot from thrash metal...and so on..so where is the problem if some people do not enjoy the recent music or the last decade's music and want to go back and build on the sound of quite older bands?And obviously you do not fancy this sound thats why you only listen to Zeppelin

The problem I have with The Sword is that they do a few bars of a fantastic retro type riff worthy of Sabbath etc., then do a few bars of "grungey chugga-chugga", and mix the two infuriatingly. They seem to do that on all their songs (that I've heard). Also, the vocals are a bit 2nd league. They're playing in my home town tomorrow, and I just can't decide if I should go. I've walked out of so many gigs this year!
