@TheStfu1000 Thanks for your input, but I don't agree with that. If you begin reading initially with the meanings written down, you'll eventually learn the basics. After that, you can rely more on your intuition. It's hard for some people to memorize the meanings of a deck---we are constantly looking through the little booklet for meanings. It takes a lot of unnecessary time. After you do this method, you'll know the basics and you can use your new knowledge for guidance and use your intuition.
@TarotReadingByAlicia thanks. unless you're refering to way more in depth meanings; having read all of the minor arcana for rider waite tarot deck i can remember the meanings just by the image as the image is/is associated with the meaning. do you know anything about reading through just regular playing cards?
@TheStfu1000 I get what you're saying, but everyone's learning style is different. Some are less visual. Yes, I do know that people read with playing cards. I have a friend who does so, but I prefer images.
@TarotReadingByAlicia might sound weird but could you see whether your friend would make videos on how he/she reads with playing cards? (just coz there really is hardly anyone who doesitand hard to find videos on it) thnx.
@soldierson69 The Thoth Deck does not have meanings written on them. If they did, I would not have spent 3 hours doing so. :) Maybe you're thinking of another deck.
Great idea! I've always wanted a deck with the meanings printed on them for those of us learning. Although I've dabbled for 20+ years I still don't feel comfortable giving a reading to others. This will definitely help! Thanks, Alicia!!
i recently got my first tarot deck, The Dreamer's Tarot, and have been struggling to learn the cards, so i had been clicking vid after vid to find memorizatiion techniques on tarot. i really wish i had seen this vid first :] thank you soo much <3
@segrl110 I am so glad you found this helpful. Remember to write the reversed meanings right side up so that you'll easily read them when they show up reversed. Best of luck!
Have you read the Book Of Thoth?

if you need to write the meanings down either you have a really bad imaged deck or one you dont connect with or you're not intuitive.

Why do you need to write the meanings on the cards since the Thoth deck ALREADY has them printed at the bottom.

@MegaBoosack I know, but if you write the meanings down, you cannot go wrong! Then, it's really up to your imagination/intuition.....
