man give the kid a break, all this fucks saying he sucks. Thats ignorance, he will develop, I bet if he would have scored those two goals everybody would saygreat things. He is just starting.
i agree. i was very impressed with him. You can tell the skill is there. I think next year united will have two very mature and capable wingers in nani and gabi. Also i think gabi need to beef up a bit, hes rather weak lookin.
He is pretty impressive hope he plays tonight in Carling Cup v Barnsley.. this wil give us a chance to see him properly.. If anyone gets a chance have a look at uniteds new 16 year old - Paul Pogba.. Top Quality!!
He is at the best club in the world for wingers. Man Utd produce amazing wide players, Obertan has all the raw ingredients to be incredible, and with the Utd coaching, I think he will be world class within three years.
Obertan will dominate the right wing for the next 10 years. We have Anderson and Fletcher in centre mid. Now all we need to do is sign a left midfielder, Mata, Muniain, Silva, A.Young...and we will be a force. Also, sign Lukaku from Anderlecht.
have u forgotten Adem Ljajic??? he arrives in January - this guy is the new kaka - he plays on the left, thru the middle or right - he is the reason why we have the bench warmer Tosic to keep him sweet when he finally gets here. check him out on youtube - he is soon to be 18.
he is making his first appereance today for the reserves against oldham i think hes gonna be on the bench for the first team sometimes but playing mostly for the reserves like tosic and macheda but bearing that in mind he is in saf"s champions league squad
he's not gonna be on the bench, he will take nani's place, and nani will be sold to benfica this january, and then mame diouf will be back from loan, and he will join rooney upfront alongside berbatov.
too bad nani's leaving for benfica. nani is currently valued at only £9.3 million.
this kid gonna be the one of next world best football players ,,,,he got the skills from all best players like zidane, henry, robinho, kaka ,,,,i cant wait to see him play at man u,,,i hope he get his injuriy fixed
those that guy have a left foot? the only thing he does with it is walk on it. a shame, because it limits his options. would have been better if he used both.
he might have a big ego but your forgetting his manager is alex ferguson now one of the best if not the best manager in england dont worry fergie will put him straight and he will improve it be impossible for him not to improve hes been included in the champions league squad so fergie must be planning on using him this season. and as for the defending part i never really saw ronaldo defend in a man utd shirt so thats not really a valid point. and saha was good when he was fit
He's just another Bellion/Saha! Im a Bordeaux fan and I can tell you that Obertan isn't a good player. He's got some skills, like Ben Harfa, but his ego is so big, it makes his body hard to move. Obertan is full of himself, and never ask him to defend, oh no, he's too good to defend lol
another saha ? wtf are you on about. Saha would have been a great player if he stayed fit. He would have scored bucket loads of goals if he stayed fit, he was everything in a striker united needed. pity really.
Seriously? what a shit video. I'm a United fan and would love to see him do well but is that all there is? Seriously? That entire clip was 3 tricks from different angles and nothing came from any of it. Not 1 goal in 3 mins of film. Pants
yeah true but liverpool without gerrard will hurt liverpool fans when it happens hes the life and soul of your club hes been without doubt liverpools best player but a mile. it might be closer than u expect mind i mean hes 29 years old hes not exactly going to last another 5 seasons at his peak not when hes an all action midfielder he'll burn out eventually.
believe me gerrard will be much harder to replace than ronaldo theres alot of players who can replace ronaldo but i cant name a single player out there who could be nearly half as good for you's as gerrard has been he attacks, he defends and top it off he gets 15+ goals a season
Gerrard will be impossible to replace. We'll have to adjust our style of play to suit the players we have when that time comes. It's some way off yet though and you can't find the next Gerrard so no point trying. You just deal with it when it arises. All you can do is continue to make the team stronger front to back so when you do lose a Gerrard or Ronaldo the impact is not felt as much.
i think the strikers will get alot more goals for us from now on though valencia crossing for the strikers like beckham used to instead of been ball creedy and scoring himself personally i think fergie will use old tatics with the two wide players providing for the strikers from the wings and hopefully anderson can step up his game and start scoring more hes meant to be an attacking midfielder so hes got potential to do so
i think nani and anderson will have good seasons not amazing seasons but i think they'll improve and step up there games this season. i reckon andersons a prospect in the making for when scholes retires. i also think tosic will have a decent season and fletchers just going to get better our midfielders good just lacks in goals.
The lack of goals is exactly why Man U fans should be concerned. A lot are arrogantly dismissing it as a problem. The reality of it is that you became more reliable on Ronaldo to win games than we ever did 5 - 6 years ago. Tha tactics Ferguson employs are gonna so much more important this year if you are to win things.
i've been told babels a stiker by trade and he gets played on the left mostly maybes thats why he hasnt improved? just a suggestion he might be completely useless like you say i dont really see him play much so i dont know one player i think will improve this season is nani whats your thoughts on his chances this season?
For Babel to play as a striker he would need much more about him than he ever looks like having. His positioning isn't great and his finishing isn't clinical enough. All he has is pace and power. Compare that to Torres - pace, power, heading, finishing, positioning, dribbling. He has just about everything. Babel hasn't got enough to carry the attacking line as he'd have ti our setup.
Nani certainly has potential and given a very long run could defo improve but i'm not convinced he'll ever be half as good as Ronaldo was for you. Not many are that good though to be fair. I think Ferguson will wan from him than he can give and ship him out within a couple of years. Time will tell i suppose. Anderson looks a far better talent. A central player i know but i'm just saying.
he's only getting £10,000 a week plus another £40,000 when he actually plays hes next to nothing you look at some wages these days. i think liverpool really need another striker for torres though that vorins useless babels got potential if he plays through the centre instead out wide left
Voronin looks to be going to Hertha for good. I've lost faith in Babel. Potential is one thing but he hasn't improved at all in his two years. He's still headless, has no first touch and can't beat his man. I think he'll leave after thnis season unless he becomes twice the player he is now and even that might not save him. It looks like an attitude thing with him. He's got his big move to a big club and he's just stopped trying to improve.
personally i think rafa's missed out on an absolute bargain not doing owen a favour and getting him on a free transfer he could of been the missing link between you's finishing second last season and you's winning the league this season because when hes fit he gets goals which would of came in good when liverpool drew alot last season and him and torres would of got a hatful of goals together
I think he was well worth the punt for free myself. His wages would probably not have been issue. I'm sure he'd have taken a considerable pay cut to come back to Anfield but Benitez has shown over time that he can hold a grudge as well as anybody. As long as we get somebody else sooner rather than later it won't be an issue.
owen would of been an ideal signing for liverpool if they had of went for him i mean liverpool only really have one really good striker in torres and liverpool dont have much money apparently (probably just specualation) but they could of got owen on a free and am sure liverpool fans would of loved to see owen back there i think rafas to stubbon at times
I'd have forgiven him Real move and taken him back for free but as you said Benitez put his foot down over the move. Which to be fair i can understand - why should he do Owen the favour of bringing him back when the first thing Owen did after Benitez arrived was push for a move away. from the club. Owen is a good player but is seriously lacking as a personality in my opinion.
fair enough but you got to consider the only other teams in for him were hull city, stoke, everton and aston villa so you can see why he picked manchester united over them if liverpool came in for him i think he would of signed for them without a second thought even if manchester united were trying to get him
I agree he'd pick us over you given the chance. Rumour has it that Gerrard and Carragher asked Benitez to sign him up again but he wasn't interested. However. i'd have thought more of him for choosing Everton simply because he claims he supported them as a boy.
£25m isnt bad in this current market when you consider benzema went for £35m and has only played in the french leagues. but the best signing i think will be either the new arsenal centre back dont know how to spell his name and possibly owen if he keeps fit sorry thats not a dig at you by the way
For any club? I think Adebayor could be a very good signing. He seems like cock of a person but when he's firing he's as good as any striker. The fresh start at City could be what he needs to find his form again. Wasn't cheap but still...
i dont think blackburn will i think they've got enough to stay up burnley, wolves and portsmouth for me and for the title as much i hate to admit i think chelsea will win it this year the lose or ronaldo and alonso will be massive to our clubs
what the fuck? did you not read what i said my dad supported we were born there and i'm a glory seeker? if i was born in manchester then my local is manchester before you even start with your daft points i was born on the red half as well. seriously stop commenting your making yourself look like a right idiot
i'm not accusing you of anything it was a question. i dont live in manchester but my family was born there and my dad was a manchester united support thats why i support them as well.
What exactly are you accusing me of? Be very careful what you say next. I don't want your fucking house number and road name. I'm simply asking if you are actually from Manchester or the sourrounding areas called "Greater Manchester".
you make some daft points and that nathan has been right everytime your points are unvalid and pathetic and the fact you've been commenting back to what people say for the past month shows you are obsessed with hate towards manchester united you need help. and i dont even have champ man so seriously what you on about? torres isnt going to stay fit all season he couldnt even last the first game so you's need another striker.
Which points are daft then? It's invalid not unvalid. I know we need another striker but i don't hink Rooney is type of striker we need. Responding to peoples comments directed at you is called having a discussion. You try it sometime you fucking child.
Hehe! There you go again. So predictable you cunts. Scared to answer the question? Are you from Stockport or something and frightened to admit it? HAHA!
hows he not the type of player you need? yous only have one good striker another pathetic point by you god you really do talk some rubbish i think you should stop your making yourself look daft infront of alot of people
You and that Nathan chap should get together some time. You're so like him. I answer your questions and make valid point which you don't seem to have an answer to. Then you say i look stupid and talk rubbish. The pattern is very obvious every time. You need to stop playing Champ Manager mate. There is a lot more to it than he's a good striker therefoore he would fit into our tactics and strategy. It simply doesn't work like that.
does it hurt you the fact owens in a man utd shirt now? hahaha and i think liverpool would of took up the chance of signing rooney if you could of and another things its really sad and pathetic holding a grudge against a player because of the team he used to play for in the past. your so dense its scary you've also be commenting back to what everyone says on here for the past month you sad person
Yep. I go a lot. Not a season ticket holder because they are like fucking gold dust and the waiting list which i'm on is silly long. l'll be lucky to be offered one before i snuff it. Are you actually from Manchester or "Greater Manchester"? Always find that name funny and the amount of people from the areas it covers claiming they are Mancunian.
everton are alot better than tottenham everton consistantly average a 5th-6th place in the league tottenham average a 7th-8th place thats how they are better and what the hell are you about? gerrard and ian rush have both said they would of welcomed owen back with open arms and are you seriously suggesting if liverpool fans didnt have the chance to sign rooney they wouldnt? if you say they wouldnt then you really are talking rubbish hes one of best young strikers in the world and hes english.
Well done. You've just proved how densse you are. Us getting Owen back would be nothing like you signing him you tool. He's a product of our youth system who moved on elsewhere. You've signed one of the greatest Liverpool goalscorers of all time and a Liverpool legend apart from the way he left the club. No, we wouldn't sign Rooney because the fans would not accept it, he's cost silly money and he's not the type of player we need. You really have no idea what you're talking about.
1-0 wins still 3 points doesnt matter if we dont set the league on fire and whats with liverpool fans thinking they are always right? liverpool are a pathetic club who havent won a league is 19 years and the fans all live in the past. i find liverpool fans hilarous myself like
Everton streets ahead of Tottenham? Care to explain how that is the case? Yeah. We're pathetic...This from the fan of a club with fans who have the shortest memory in the world. I don't think i've ever known fans as fickle as you lot. Ronaldo was the best player in the world until you sold him. Now he's a traitor, overrated and won't be missed. Alan Smith, Michael Owen, Wayne Rooney - Only Man U fans would welcome players with the past they have with open arms and suffer immediate memory loss.
Always makes me laugh when pricks like you sing "You Scouse bastards" when playing us and your star player is Wayne Rooney - a Scouser. Fucking brain dead cunts. Then you try to justify it by saying he was a blue so it's okay! Hahahahahahah! Tools. The lot of you. I assume you go to the match or is too fdar away to travel too?
dont blame the result on the fact liverpool were away thats just pathetic liverpool are meant to be a better team than tottenham so they should of won white hart lanes a hard place to win at but a team like liverpool should be able to when you consider they had the best head to head record against the other top 3 teams last season just face it liverpool were hopeless it was written all over torres's face.
My god. What is it with ManU fans? You simply do not read/listen to what people say. I openly admitted that we were not good enough. You lot hardly set the league on fire with a 1-0 win against Birmingham. It's very early doors with a long, long way to go. We easily had the hardest opening fixture of any of the top four in the premiership this season. Spurs are almost certainly top six material this year. The ref was an absolute disgrace and should apologise for his poor performance.
how dissapointing were liverpool today tottenham domiated them from start to finish liverpool badly need another striker for torres he had no support throughout the game
Yep. We should have been better but Spurs are no pushovers and the ref was a disgrace. We actually have not started a season at home for 6 seasons back to back now. Something wrong with that if you ask me. Refs have the only high profile job in the world in which you can perform that badly and not be punished by your employer - Look at the Palace game. Perhaps you should read the whole conversation and then you'd see the points that myself and others were making to each other.
He seems ok and i think he'll do ok at Man Utd, but he'll probably only get a few chances in the first team this season, and i hear he's injured for 3 months.
Back again? That was quick. An opinion is one thing but when it's ill-informed and ultimately bollocks then it becomes worthless in a discussion. Especially when you contradict yourself in the space of a few posts talking about us being a laughing stock in one post and then respected in another a matter of minutes later.
Yep. Go on. Make yet more bullshit comments. Lose yet another argument and then fuck claiming "iam off now bored of this video". We both know the video is nothing to do with you still posting here. You're just determined to say something back to me. Feel free to but it'll almost certainly be nonsense again and i'll undoubtedly rubbish your points one again.
You clearly don't. The posts you've made in the last hour show that. As per usual you've gonne into fail safe mode and said "you talk out your arse". You just constantly dig holes for yourself and then i shit on you while you're in it as you have no ral football knowledge. One day when you're a little older and hopefully more knowledgeable about the game beyond planet Man U then you'll see that what i've said to you is true.
It woudn't surprise me if Owen did celebrate but at the same time i'm not entirely sure he would. I've already made it clear how liitle i think of Owen as a person so it wouln't bother me if he did. I think he's capable of adding that insult to his already large repetoire of shitting on a club he claimed to love.
Liverpool fans are some of most respected in the world by other fans. It's only people with anti-scouse complex or people who know nothing about the game (i'm looking at you for the latter) that have anything bad to say about us. I've lost count of the teams which have sang our name and appluaded us (and us them) after a match when we've beaten them in Europe. The respect we command from other fans and the respect we give to other fans is enormous. You're talking out of your arse yet again.
Read the various forums and listen to sports phone-ins and its shocking how many Man U fans are having a go at Tevez. You cunts had 2 years to sign him up and left it too late to convince him he was valued. I hope he scores against you and i'm almost certain he'll celebrate with great enthusiasm if he does.
Pus, the fact that people like you have taken him in so warmly with open arms despite his past with Liverpool just shows how fickle many Man U fans can be. The Tevez situation backs it up further. He was a hero who had his name sang telling Ferguson to buy him and flags flown at matches in support of him. Then, Ferguson lets him walk and he's suddenly overrated and didn't do enough. It's fucking hilarious. Most Man U fans are fucking laughing stock to true football fans with a memory.
I fail to see how we were a stepping stone when we were his first club and the club which made him into the world-class player he was at one point. Now Ronaldo is another matter. In fact he is the ultimate example of "using" a club as you put it. He made no secret of the fact that Real Madrid was his ultimate destination and there he is.
You don't expect much from your players as people do you?Speaks volumes about your club and its fans if you're anything to go by. As for Owen using us as a stepping stone-It was unfortunate that the team wasn't great at the time but for him to walk out when and how he did was a disgrace. We made Owen the player he was. We payed him a fucking good wage and made him the focal point of the team. Which is why the club and fans deserved better from him. If you can't see that then you're beyond help.
heyy this has been one hell of a conversation/arguement it has made my day lol may i ask which team do you support?? i wont hold any grudges if it is a major rival of Man United lol
thats what i thought right now im not hating on Liverpool lol even though i will always dislike them im really hating Man City for buying Tevez lol...hey what are your thoughts on Owen moving to United??
I think Owen has just proved what most Liverpool fans always thought - he's a man of no loyalty or integrity. As much as it pains me to admit it, you've got a good signing on a free. I would have forgiven him the Real Madrid move and taken him back on a free this summer personally but i think Benitez put his foot down after him stabbing us in the back in the past. All he had to do was sign a new contract and give Benitez a year to see how things went. But no, he was bigger than the greater good.
thats true im sorta feeling the same way about Tevez even though he doesnt have the same history as Owen did in Liverpool he will now be hated playing at the City of Manchester Stadium by most United fans ive always heard good things about him never really payed much attention to him though how was he when he was younger?
Owen? He was as good as strikers came in his prime in the late 90's early 00's. His pace was absolutely terrifying back in the day but he's lost some of that now. You never lose the ability to finish if you've got it from the off. He'll get goals for you lot this season. I don't doubt it for a second.
yeah ive seen the goals he has scored in asia even though it is lesser opponents he absolutely terrorizes opposing defences and he is clinical in the box but i wish he still had some of that "terrifying" pace lol
and what about a little player named Ryan Giggs why didnt he support Cardiff City he supported Manchester United as a child and now he is a LEGEND there and over here in Canada we have three professional teams Montreal,Vancouver and Toronto as of 2007 so i was cheering for Manchester United for a long time before TFC was established so please dont feed me your bullshit...and i do support Benfica i have scarfs and jerseys and the last time they came to toronto i saw them play i love the game
Right so you support Man U, Leeds, Oxford, Benfica and i assume Toronto. So which is it then. One of them teams must override the others. I'm guessing Man U which is just plain odd mate considering Benfica is the team blooded into your family.
yeah your right it does go Manchester United, Toronto, Benfica im second generation canadian well sorta my mother was born here but my father was born in Portugal but pretty much all my elder family grew up there its just i get to see more Manchester United and TFC games then Benfica matches so naturally i am a bigger Man Utd and TFC fan but i still follow Benfica in Europe and online and Leeds and Oxford i just read up on a couple times a month during the season
if i was born here in the 70's i would still support them through their toughest generation of football because of my family memories and awesome stories i heard about them so please do go fuck off i know in my heart that i will always support manchester united im not the type of person who will just go pick a winner.for example i follow Leeds aswell just because of their interesting history i like to follow Oxford United right now you are coming off as an arrogant prick
You follow Leeds too? What the fuck? You do know Man U and Leeds don't exactly get on with each other right? Also, if your family are Portuguese and support Benfica than why turn your back on Benfica? Supporting them would make a hell of a lot of sense compared to you supporting Man U.
That is bullshit mate. To say if you were born in this place and that time you'd still support Man U. I doubt that very much. You'd almost certainly support the team local to you at the time - which might well have been somewhere other than Manchester. That's how it works with 99% of people in England. It's very, very unusual for somebody to support a team outside their own town or city in England.
well like you said im not from england so i can bloody well support whoever the fuck i want to it is my choice to support whoever i want to it certainly is not up to you saying i picked a team because they were winning i was 9 years of fucking age when i started supporting man utd i did not even know what the premier league was i didnt even know i was watching the FA Cup when i saw that first game i fell in love with Man Utd because of the way they played and the players they had
how old are you by what your saying you might aswell be a glory hunter no matter where your from if you are young and you support a historically successful team you are a glory hunter...
Nope. My point is that you're not from England and yet you decide to support the most successful team at the time. Ever heard of Rochdale, Stockport, Bury? No, no and no i imagine. They're all 30 mins away from Manchester but don't even register on your radar because you didn't care. Man U were winning things so you picked them.
tricks r nothing you gotta know how to use them thats what sets em apart, hopefully he will learn how

Yeah Ive heard of this guy, not seen much of him though. Looking forward to him getting here.

he is making his first appereance today for the reserves against oldham i think hes gonna be on the bench for the first team sometimes but playing mostly for the reserves like tosic and macheda but bearing that in mind he is in saf"s champions league squad
messi10numba1 2 years ago
he's not gonna be on the bench, he will take nani's place, and nani will be sold to benfica this january, and then mame diouf will be back from loan, and he will join rooney upfront alongside berbatov.
too bad nani's leaving for benfica. nani is currently valued at only £9.3 million.

those that guy have a left foot? the only thing he does with it is walk on it. a shame, because it limits his options. would have been better if he used both.
WudieRocks 2 years ago
he might have a big ego but your forgetting his manager is alex ferguson now one of the best if not the best manager in england dont worry fergie will put him straight and he will improve it be impossible for him not to improve hes been included in the champions league squad so fergie must be planning on using him this season. and as for the defending part i never really saw ronaldo defend in a man utd shirt so thats not really a valid point. and saha was good when he was fit
giggsisalegend 2 years ago
He's just another Bellion/Saha! Im a Bordeaux fan and I can tell you that Obertan isn't a good player. He's got some skills, like Ben Harfa, but his ego is so big, it makes his body hard to move. Obertan is full of himself, and never ask him to defend, oh no, he's too good to defend lol
strupar69 2 years ago
another saha ? wtf are you on about. Saha would have been a great player if he stayed fit. He would have scored bucket loads of goals if he stayed fit, he was everything in a striker united needed. pity really.

giggsisalegend 2 years ago
Possibly. I think we've got 3-4 years of his best yet though.
cheeseontoast1 2 years ago
yeah true but liverpool without gerrard will hurt liverpool fans when it happens hes the life and soul of your club hes been without doubt liverpools best player but a mile. it might be closer than u expect mind i mean hes 29 years old hes not exactly going to last another 5 seasons at his peak not when hes an all action midfielder he'll burn out eventually.
giggsisalegend 2 years ago
who** not would
giggsisalegend 2 years ago
there is one player would could actually plays for charlton called jonjo shelvey hes meant to be very good and hes english
giggsisalegend 2 years ago
believe me gerrard will be much harder to replace than ronaldo theres alot of players who can replace ronaldo but i cant name a single player out there who could be nearly half as good for you's as gerrard has been he attacks, he defends and top it off he gets 15+ goals a season
giggsisalegend 2 years ago
Gerrard will be impossible to replace. We'll have to adjust our style of play to suit the players we have when that time comes. It's some way off yet though and you can't find the next Gerrard so no point trying. You just deal with it when it arises. All you can do is continue to make the team stronger front to back so when you do lose a Gerrard or Ronaldo the impact is not felt as much.
cheeseontoast1 2 years ago
i think the strikers will get alot more goals for us from now on though valencia crossing for the strikers like beckham used to instead of been ball creedy and scoring himself personally i think fergie will use old tatics with the two wide players providing for the strikers from the wings and hopefully anderson can step up his game and start scoring more hes meant to be an attacking midfielder so hes got potential to do so
giggsisalegend 2 years ago
i think nani and anderson will have good seasons not amazing seasons but i think they'll improve and step up there games this season. i reckon andersons a prospect in the making for when scholes retires. i also think tosic will have a decent season and fletchers just going to get better our midfielders good just lacks in goals.
giggsisalegend 2 years ago
The lack of goals is exactly why Man U fans should be concerned. A lot are arrogantly dismissing it as a problem. The reality of it is that you became more reliable on Ronaldo to win games than we ever did 5 - 6 years ago. Tha tactics Ferguson employs are gonna so much more important this year if you are to win things.
cheeseontoast1 2 years ago
*we ever did on Gerrard : ) Doh!
cheeseontoast1 2 years ago
i've been told babels a stiker by trade and he gets played on the left mostly maybes thats why he hasnt improved? just a suggestion he might be completely useless like you say i dont really see him play much so i dont know one player i think will improve this season is nani whats your thoughts on his chances this season?
giggsisalegend 2 years ago
For Babel to play as a striker he would need much more about him than he ever looks like having. His positioning isn't great and his finishing isn't clinical enough. All he has is pace and power. Compare that to Torres - pace, power, heading, finishing, positioning, dribbling. He has just about everything. Babel hasn't got enough to carry the attacking line as he'd have ti our setup.
cheeseontoast1 2 years ago
Nani certainly has potential and given a very long run could defo improve but i'm not convinced he'll ever be half as good as Ronaldo was for you. Not many are that good though to be fair. I think Ferguson will wan from him than he can give and ship him out within a couple of years. Time will tell i suppose. Anderson looks a far better talent. A central player i know but i'm just saying.
cheeseontoast1 2 years ago
*want more from him
cheeseontoast1 2 years ago
he's only getting £10,000 a week plus another £40,000 when he actually plays hes next to nothing you look at some wages these days. i think liverpool really need another striker for torres though that vorins useless babels got potential if he plays through the centre instead out wide left
giggsisalegend 2 years ago
Voronin looks to be going to Hertha for good. I've lost faith in Babel. Potential is one thing but he hasn't improved at all in his two years. He's still headless, has no first touch and can't beat his man. I think he'll leave after thnis season unless he becomes twice the player he is now and even that might not save him. It looks like an attitude thing with him. He's got his big move to a big club and he's just stopped trying to improve.
cheeseontoast1 2 years ago
personally i think rafa's missed out on an absolute bargain not doing owen a favour and getting him on a free transfer he could of been the missing link between you's finishing second last season and you's winning the league this season because when hes fit he gets goals which would of came in good when liverpool drew alot last season and him and torres would of got a hatful of goals together
giggsisalegend 2 years ago
I think he was well worth the punt for free myself. His wages would probably not have been issue. I'm sure he'd have taken a considerable pay cut to come back to Anfield but Benitez has shown over time that he can hold a grudge as well as anybody. As long as we get somebody else sooner rather than later it won't be an issue.
cheeseontoast1 2 years ago
owen would of been an ideal signing for liverpool if they had of went for him i mean liverpool only really have one really good striker in torres and liverpool dont have much money apparently (probably just specualation) but they could of got owen on a free and am sure liverpool fans would of loved to see owen back there i think rafas to stubbon at times
giggsisalegend 2 years ago
I'd have forgiven him Real move and taken him back for free but as you said Benitez put his foot down over the move. Which to be fair i can understand - why should he do Owen the favour of bringing him back when the first thing Owen did after Benitez arrived was push for a move away. from the club. Owen is a good player but is seriously lacking as a personality in my opinion.
cheeseontoast1 2 years ago
fair enough but you got to consider the only other teams in for him were hull city, stoke, everton and aston villa so you can see why he picked manchester united over them if liverpool came in for him i think he would of signed for them without a second thought even if manchester united were trying to get him
giggsisalegend 2 years ago
I agree he'd pick us over you given the chance. Rumour has it that Gerrard and Carragher asked Benitez to sign him up again but he wasn't interested. However. i'd have thought more of him for choosing Everton simply because he claims he supported them as a boy.
cheeseontoast1 2 years ago
£25m isnt bad in this current market when you consider benzema went for £35m and has only played in the french leagues. but the best signing i think will be either the new arsenal centre back dont know how to spell his name and possibly owen if he keeps fit sorry thats not a dig at you by the way
giggsisalegend 2 years ago
Owen was a good signing for free but i think he's scum for doing it personally.
cheeseontoast1 2 years ago
best signing of the season? :)
giggsisalegend 2 years ago
For any club? I think Adebayor could be a very good signing. He seems like cock of a person but when he's firing he's as good as any striker. The fresh start at City could be what he needs to find his form again. Wasn't cheap but still...

cheeseontoast1 2 years ago
you make some daft points and that nathan has been right everytime your points are unvalid and pathetic and the fact you've been commenting back to what people say for the past month shows you are obsessed with hate towards manchester united you need help. and i dont even have champ man so seriously what you on about? torres isnt going to stay fit all season he couldnt even last the first game so you's need another striker.
giggsisalegend 2 years ago
Which points are daft then? It's invalid not unvalid. I know we need another striker but i don't hink Rooney is type of striker we need. Responding to peoples comments directed at you is called having a discussion. You try it sometime you fucking child.
cheeseontoast1 2 years ago
wtf?!?! why you asking were i live you weirdo oh god go away your making yourself look riduclous

Hehe! There you go again. So predictable you cunts. Scared to answer the question? Are you from Stockport or something and frightened to admit it? HAHA!
cheeseontoast1 2 years ago
hows he not the type of player you need? yous only have one good striker another pathetic point by you god you really do talk some rubbish i think you should stop your making yourself look daft infront of alot of people
giggsisalegend 2 years ago
You and that Nathan chap should get together some time. You're so like him. I answer your questions and make valid point which you don't seem to have an answer to. Then you say i look stupid and talk rubbish. The pattern is very obvious every time. You need to stop playing Champ Manager mate. There is a lot more to it than he's a good striker therefoore he would fit into our tactics and strategy. It simply doesn't work like that.
cheeseontoast1 2 years ago
does it hurt you the fact owens in a man utd shirt now? hahaha and i think liverpool would of took up the chance of signing rooney if you could of and another things its really sad and pathetic holding a grudge against a player because of the team he used to play for in the past. your so dense its scary you've also be commenting back to what everyone says on here for the past month you sad person
giggsisalegend 2 years ago
i'm a season ticket holder you fucking arsehole do you go to liverpool game?
giggsisalegend 2 years ago
Yep. I go a lot. Not a season ticket holder because they are like fucking gold dust and the waiting list which i'm on is silly long. l'll be lucky to be offered one before i snuff it. Are you actually from Manchester or "Greater Manchester"? Always find that name funny and the amount of people from the areas it covers claiming they are Mancunian.
cheeseontoast1 2 years ago
everton are alot better than tottenham everton consistantly average a 5th-6th place in the league tottenham average a 7th-8th place thats how they are better and what the hell are you about? gerrard and ian rush have both said they would of welcomed owen back with open arms and are you seriously suggesting if liverpool fans didnt have the chance to sign rooney they wouldnt? if you say they wouldnt then you really are talking rubbish hes one of best young strikers in the world and hes english.
giggsisalegend 2 years ago
You really have no idea what you're talking about.
cheeseontoast1 2 years ago
and another thing arsenal had the hardest team not liverpool out the top 4 everton are streets ahead of tettenham
giggsisalegend 2 years ago
1-0 wins still 3 points doesnt matter if we dont set the league on fire and whats with liverpool fans thinking they are always right? liverpool are a pathetic club who havent won a league is 19 years and the fans all live in the past. i find liverpool fans hilarous myself like
giggsisalegend 2 years ago
Everton streets ahead of Tottenham? Care to explain how that is the case? Yeah. We're pathetic...This from the fan of a club with fans who have the shortest memory in the world. I don't think i've ever known fans as fickle as you lot. Ronaldo was the best player in the world until you sold him. Now he's a traitor, overrated and won't be missed. Alan Smith, Michael Owen, Wayne Rooney - Only Man U fans would welcome players with the past they have with open arms and suffer immediate memory loss.
cheeseontoast1 2 years ago
Always makes me laugh when pricks like you sing "You Scouse bastards" when playing us and your star player is Wayne Rooney - a Scouser. Fucking brain dead cunts. Then you try to justify it by saying he was a blue so it's okay! Hahahahahahah! Tools. The lot of you. I assume you go to the match or is too fdar away to travel too?
cheeseontoast1 2 years ago
*far away to travel to?
cheeseontoast1 2 years ago
dont blame the result on the fact liverpool were away thats just pathetic liverpool are meant to be a better team than tottenham so they should of won white hart lanes a hard place to win at but a team like liverpool should be able to when you consider they had the best head to head record against the other top 3 teams last season just face it liverpool were hopeless it was written all over torres's face.
giggsisalegend 2 years ago
The ref was an absolute disgrace and should apologise for his poor performance.
cheeseontoast1 2 years ago
how dissapointing were liverpool today tottenham domiated them from start to finish liverpool badly need another striker for torres he had no support throughout the game
giggsisalegend 2 years ago

Back again? That was quick. An opinion is one thing but when it's ill-informed and ultimately bollocks then it becomes worthless in a discussion. It woudn't surprise me if Owen did celebrate but at the same time i'm not entirely sure he would. I've already made it clear how liitle i think of Owen as a person so it wouln't bother me if he did. I think he's capable of adding that insult to his already large repetoire of shitting on a club he claimed to love.
cheeseontoast1 2 years ago
Liverpool fans are some of most respected in the world by other fans. It's only people with anti-scouse complex or people who know nothing about the game (i'm looking at you for the latter) that have anything bad to say about us. I've lost count of the teams which have sang our name and appluaded us (and us them) after a match when we've beaten them in Europe. The respect we command from other fans and the respect we give to other fans is enormous. You're talking out of your arse yet again.
cheeseontoast1 2 years ago
Read the various forums and listen to sports phone-ins and its shocking how many Man U fans are having a go at Tevez. You cunts had 2 years to sign him up and left it too late to convince him he was valued. I hope he scores against you and i'm almost certain he'll celebrate with great enthusiasm if he does.
cheeseontoast1 2 years ago

He made no secret of the fact that Real Madrid was his ultimate destination and there he is.
cheeseontoast1 2 years ago
You don't expect much from your players as people do you?Speaks volumes about your club and its fans if you're anything to go by. As for Owen using us as a stepping stone-It was unfortunate that the team wasn't great at the time but for him to walk out when and how he did was a disgrace. We made Owen the player he was. We payed him a fucking good wage and made him the focal point of the team. Which is why the club and fans deserved better from him. If you can't see that then you're beyond help.
cheeseontoast1 2 years ago
heyy this has been one hell of a conversation/arguement it has made my day lol may i ask which team do you support?? i wont hold any grudges if it is a major rival of Man United lol
SunnyValeParrk 2 years ago
Liverpool
cheeseontoast1 2 years ago
thats what i thought right now im not hating on Liverpool lol even though i will always dislike them im really hating Man City for buying Tevez lol...hey what are your thoughts on Owen moving to United??
SunnyValeParrk 2 years ago
I think Owen has just proved what most Liverpool fans always thought - he's a man of no loyalty or integrity. As much as it pains me to admit it, you've got a good signing on a free. I would have forgiven him the Real Madrid move and taken him back on a free this summer personally but i think Benitez put his foot down after him stabbing us in the back in the past. All he had to do was sign a new contract and give Benitez a year to see how things went. But no, he was bigger than the greater good.
cheeseontoast1 2 years ago
thats true im sorta feeling the same way about Tevez even though he doesnt have the same history as Owen did in Liverpool he will now be hated playing at the City of Manchester Stadium by most United fans ive always heard good things about him never really payed much attention to him though how was he when he was younger?
SunnyValeParrk 2 years ago
Owen? He was as good as strikers came in his prime in the late 90's early 00's. His pace was absolutely terrifying back in the day but he's lost some of that now. You never lose the ability to finish if you've got it from the off. He'll get goals for you lot this season. I don't doubt it for a second.
cheeseontoast1 2 years ago
yeah ive seen the goals he has scored in asia even though it is lesser opponents he absolutely terrorizes opposing defences and he is clinical in the box but i wish he still had some of that "terrifying" pace lol
SunnyValeParrk 2 years ago
and what about a little player named Ryan Giggs why didnt he support Cardiff City he supported Manchester United as a child and now he is a LEGEND there and over here in Canada we have three professional teams Montreal,Vancouver and Toronto as of 2007 so i was cheering for Manchester United for a long time before TFC was established so please dont feed me your bullshit...and i do support Benfica i have scarfs and jerseys and the last time they came to toronto i saw them play i love the game
SunnyValeParrk 2 years ago
Right so you support Man U, Leeds, Oxford, Benfica and i assume Toronto. So which is it then. One of them teams must override the others. I'm guessing Man U which is just plain odd mate considering Benfica is the team blooded into your family.
cheeseontoast1 2 years ago
Oh and Giggs moved to Manchester when he was 6. Oddly enough around the time most kids tend to start leaning towards a team.
cheeseontoast1 2 years ago
yeah your right it does go Manchester United, Toronto, Benfica im second generation canadian well sorta my mother was born here but my father was born in Portugal but pretty much all my elder family grew up there its just i get to see more Manchester United and TFC games then Benfica matches so naturally i am a bigger Man Utd and TFC fan but i still follow Benfica in Europe and online and Leeds and Oxford i just read up on a couple times a month during the season
SunnyValeParrk 2 years ago
if i was born here in the 70's i would still support them through their toughest generation of football because of my family memories and awesome stories i heard about them so please do go fuck off i know in my heart that i will always support manchester united im not the type of person who will just go pick a winner.for example i follow Leeds aswell just because of their interesting history i like to follow Oxford United right now you are coming off as an arrogant prick
SunnyValeParrk 2 years ago
You follow Leeds too? What the fuck? You do know Man U and Leeds don't exactly get on with each other right? Also, if your family are Portuguese and support Benfica than why turn your back on Benfica? Supporting them would make a hell of a lot of sense compared to you supporting Man U.
cheeseontoast1 2 years ago
That is bullshit mate. To say if you were born in this place and that time you'd still support Man U. I doubt that very much. You'd almost certainly support the team local to you at the time - which might well have been somewhere other than Manchester. That's how it works with 99% of people in England. It's very, very unusual for somebody to support a team outside their own town or city in England.
cheeseontoast1 2 years ago
well like you said im not from england so i can bloody well support whoever the fuck i want to it is my choice to support whoever i want to it certainly is not up to you saying i picked a team because they were winning i was 9 years of fucking age when i started supporting man utd i did not even know what the premier league was i didnt even know i was watching the FA Cup when i saw that first game i fell in love with Man Utd because of the way they played and the players they had
SunnyValeParrk 2 years ago
how old are you by what your saying you might aswell be a glory hunter no matter where your from if you are young and you support a historically successful team you are a glory hunter...
SunnyValeParrk 2 years ago
Nope. My point is that you're not from England and yet you decide to support the most successful team at the time. Ever heard of Rochdale, Stockport, Bury? No, no and no i imagine. They're all 30 mins away from Manchester but don't even register on your radar because you didn't care. Man U were winning things so you picked them.
cheeseontoast1
