    Kezzaahho9 x

  • BEAUTIFUL & GRACEFUL!!!!!!

  • Your eally good the mvoes fitted in and you were elegant Well done you should of god 1st place

  • well done, really good performance. Try to keep your knees flat in all ariel positions especially your sceond step. Last step was good but at the end keep pointing your toes.

  • I think you dance this dance in such an elegant way, it is a pleasure to watch it! Your posture is impressive:) I'm not an expert in highland dancing, I dance irish dance. Are the shoes that you use the same as soft shoes in irish dance?

  • It looks like the same ghillies as in irish dance, which I dance myself =) I think both the irish and scottish dance is beautiful, in their own way =)

  • Well said :)

  • Hey i started highland August 08 and have been doing it since. My teacher suggested entering the dance exam or something? How long approx does it take before i can compete and what category will i be in and stuff? Help appreciatedd x Thankss

  • hey umm well if you just started you'll start competing in beginner which you have to stay in until you get 6 stamps in that category (this is based on you r placing) then you'll probably end up in premier about maybe two or three years after you start competing then you can get into championships. sorry you probably know all that by now but yeah enjoy higland its a great sport

  • um excuse me they do do that in scottland they used 2 and they still do and its a both men & women sport, men do and so do girls!!!

  • It wasn't a man's dance perse, it was a battle dance, and this is highland dancing. Well it's Scottish National. I'm interested, where are you from and how old are you?

  • i have the same lilt outfit as you :P haha.

  • per carità fatele smettere!!!!!!!!sennò mi scoppiano i timpani!!!e le orecchie!!

  • it almost looks like you kicked your toe on the stage.

  • shes good very elegante wich is ment 2 be

  • Well this is one of the many "National dances" so we where aboynes or white dresses, with a few exceptions (i.e. for the Barracks Johnny). We also where the kilts for the "Highlands" and for the exceptions in the nationals. :)

And you're right, this is one of the easier dances, but I have to disagree with you when you say that she isn't jumping-- sometimes you can only jump as much as the step allows.

  • we wear kilts too in our other dances, this is made of the same material as a kilt but its for nationals.. I deffinitly have a timing problem so im trying hard to only jump so high as to stay in time with the music

  • At Aboyne Games in Aberdeenshire they prefer it if you wear the 'Aboyne Dress' for all the dances (excpect the Jig and Sailors - for obvious reasons). I don't know if they still do but the dancers with places used to get an extra £5 added to their prize money.

  • ya pervert tee hee

  • looks like ballet a little..it is good...

  • Great job! : )

  • Your extension and head positioning is gorgeous. You carry yourself regally, the head is placed exactly how it should be. Sooooo many dancers forget this or it is not taught to them!

  • That was fantastic.

  • i've rolled my ankle a few times

  • that was good. I was there for that lol not competing though, but my sister was (holly macintyre) i used to dance...who knows i may come back one of these days! Keep it up though!!

  • Have you ever gotten any injuries from this? I could totally imagine someone rolling their ankle from doing this :(

  • Actually, as far as I'm concerned the only way you could do that is by just Stomping your foot everywhere.

This is my first year of highland and so far I'm loving it! ^^

  • Check out my video of me falling over in the hornpipe....that hurt....one foot took the other out and i landed on my knee/shin/ankle and chushed it with my but lol funny now but excruiciatingly painfull then.

  • yeah i saw that shake.

but you still are very good :]

  • I do the same steps!

  • You have uh-mazing feet work!

  • i heard the same exact song being played for a childrens highland dance contest, maybe it was the same performance too. You did a great job

  • wow this is really good. great job dudette, sorry bout u only getting 5th. u deserved 1st!

  • WOW.

  • your batd cool :) whoes ur teacher??

  • DAMN! I missed this and I live in Calgary for god sake!

  • Well done!!!!

  • lovely

  • Hey i just noticed. You don't fully extend your left knee when you're pointing to second. If you keep your chin up and your Legs extended you'll look as tall as your are :D

  • hey good job!! , just remember in the first step to getyour foot right in third aerial under your knee , it goes low sometimes, and really point that foot of yours, sometimes u can see it floppin around:) - Great job though! how did u do?

  • hey are you batd. I could tell because i too am. on the last step you did point point together. Great job

  • yeh i know the u can in the jig but its so mu ch easier to leave it in after the fling and sword and stuff. actualy im going to saskatoon competition on the 26th of may 2007 are u going ?

  • it makes a funken differene because your supposed to have your hair tight in a bun or you are disqualified u can also have it in french braids.

  • you can have your hair half up / half down for nationals, but I way prefer it up, and also you can wear it down in the jig.

  • why did the girl next to you have her hair down?

  • What funkin difference does it make????????

  • wut did u place?

  • im kinda debating on irish dancing or highland. I think ur a good dancer

  • that looked cool, lol i don't do highland dancing but i am an irish dancer. what do you call a highland dance competition? i was just wondering

  • you call a highland games competition just that or a games.

  • a highland dancing competition

  • Are you hoping to be a Detective when you grow up?

  • Marry me.

  • I pipe for dancers, you're very good

  • SCOTLAND ! <3

  • it was ok but you should smile thou. i always smile and win the judges away!

  • Oh sod off AllAroundCanadian, sometimes nerves dont alow for smiles...

  • i dont like the lilt much, flora i like. a 6 step lilt is just way to boring. though that was only 4.

  • oh that was lovely don't know much bout' highland dancin' but it's a too bad the stumble wrecked it for you I know how that feels :( top 5 is still awesome!!!

  • love the tartan

  • Great job! Your amazing, I tried to pick Highland up after taking ballet and Irish but I couldn't do it. My dancing itself was eh..ok. but the pipes drove me nuts. haha.

  • I love your lilt :)

  • I liek that dance. I'm just learning it so it's good to see someone other than my dance teacher do it.

  • very good i love the lilt

  • Hi, do you take anyother kind of dance? Nationals are very ballet oriented. Have you had any training there?

  • ps. Thats "highlandprincess" From ddn beside me~ im the one on your right
