My son who was 4 @ the time& I were standing against a U haul truck for at least 4 hours watching this" tragedy" unfold. not too far to the right of the frame @ 2:26 .It was The best restaurant !!! a place where we all gathered like family and friends.
We live on the Island, not too far from there. We were watching TV, cable went out. Before I could say what the hell happened, the power went out. Looked out the window, saw the smoke. I miss Golden Crust. Used to stop for bread every night on the way home.
This happened in the small City of Cohoes, New York. Golden Krust was a Bakery/Restaurant that had a huge following. A fire started in the back in one of the donut machines. Attempts to put it out resulted in pushing the fire upward into ventilation ducts and it spread to the many additions to the building. To my knowledge no one was hurt, The bakery has since reopened in a new location.
