OCR would never accept this song. I'm not saying it's bad, just that it's more of a "cover" than a remix.

To get accepted at OCR you really have to get creative by delving into new genres and adding your own ideas to the mix.

Always reminded me of the ice zone from cosmo cosmic adventure (Bet non of yall know what that is XD) Nice remix, huge Sonic fan, collect the games comics and watched all the cartoons, don't care for the negitivities toward Sonic I have have fun from Sonic 2 (First game I played bought 1 later on) to Sonic heroes the last game I bought from the series on Gamecube, Loved adventures of Sonic the hedgehog when I was lil :D when I learn programming plan to make my own game!

There have been different sources saying different things. None are any more official than the other, really, but MJ definitely wrote at least some of the Sonic 3 soundtrack, and was not credited properly for one of the handful of reasons that have been stated. I do believe he probably didn't like the way it sounded because of the genesis' sound output though. They say he was quite the perfectionist.

MJ did not compose the whole soundtrack -_-. It has been confirmed that he was involved in making it but I find it hard to believe he did anything else than come up with Knuckles Theme. It's not like Sonic 3's soundtrack in its entirety is superb anyway so I wouldn't praise him even if he did all of it. It's not bad but when compared to other games of the 16-bit era, especially Sonic 1&2, it falls into the mediocre category.

This tune is awesome, the remix builds enough on the original to be great in its own right. The chemical plant remix is awesome too.

I'd love to hear remixes of Labyrinth Zone and Scrap Brain Zone (Sonic 1, Game Gear), Underground Zone and Scrambled Egg Zone (Sonic 2, Game Gear). They dont have remixes but definately deserve them and I doubt anyone else could do a remix of these tunes justice.

@JemenJ Here's the story-- Michael jackson was originally supposed to write music for sonic 3, but there was argueing, and it stopped. Michael then took the songs he had originally composed for sonic 3, and changed them slightly, and released them. Unfortunately, sega didn't take out all of michael's songs; thus resulting in some very similar songs. For example, Ice cap zone, and Who is it.
