I've spotted elements that got put into g4:

The prince is a dick

Telling the dragon off and making him apologize

The pilot had the threat of eternal night, and even vanquishing the villain with the rainbow was visually similar to nightmare moon's defeat. I wanna watch more G1 and see what else I can find! XD

@okuni2 That and Toei's animation department tended not to put in good effort into footage produced for American shows. Compare the animation quality of the American G1 Transformers cartoon with that of "The Headmasters".

dont worry there are 3 Apple Jacks i know of: the one in the Midnight Castle movie, one in the G3 season, and one in the G4 season! (looks like the one off of Midnight castle but longer hair and green eyes!)

Applejack is only in the pilot episode, "Rescue From Midnight Castle". For the regular series, she was replaced by Cherries Jubilee, so if you want you can pretend Cherries Jubilee is Applejack. She's in "Fugitive Flowers", "The Revolt of Paradise Estate" and "The Prince and the Ponies".
