  • Man I love this movie..I watched it for so many times and still I enjoy it very much..I like the symbolic nature of it all...fu...ing awesome...

  • best movie to watch if u ask yourself what is the purpose of all this... I watched it 10 times. So far.

  • its not about what is right and wrong. It is simply exploring both mens beliefs and perspective fairly.

  • This movie was awesome.

  • Probably two of the best actors alive today

  • will smith looks kinda old in this movie

  • @blahblihbluh thats samuel l jackson you idiot.

  • @blahblihbluh I feel bad for laughing at this.

  • People can never discuss movies like civilized people. Always attacking one another.... its a movie... not your movie..Thanks for the genuine reviews.

  • I enjoyed that movie :) it was something different

  • "Yes they deserve to die and i home they burn i hell" -Samuel Jackson!

  • halfway through watching this and i must say this is something quite refreshing after all those so called "block buster" movies.

  • looks soooooooooo boring.

  • @forbzy1590 go watch transformes then, this is for intellectuals

  • @mhammer1777 something different for a change, I loved it!

  • @forbzy1590 because you dont understand the truth. this movie tells you the truth.

  • @BeppeOwnage what truth

  • Brilliant Movie. Good job on the Directing Tommy.

  • so what if this is filmed in one room....get the fuck over it... its one of the most intense, philosophical movies of the year(maybe one of the best). this is an extremely faithful adaptation of cormac mcarthy's the sunset limited and if you dont know who cormac mcarthyis...fuckin shoot yourself

  • i watch few months a go .. very good movie .. jaybob slow ... ^^

  • Comment removed

  • JAYBOB

  • Think i'd rather chop my own dick off then watch this.

  • @Brokencarnage Pass the blade bro

  • @Brokencarnage Have fun with that!!

  • Jaybob x]

  • Jaybob?

  • i dont get the 2 top comments, also, whats good about a film about 2 blokes in 1 room talking to each other. the world's gone mental

  • @barnsleybornnbred Malakia - arsehole or something insulting like that. Guess he did not like the movie. xD

  • @barnsleybornnbred isohunt

  • @eddie14886 yep

  • "He said it!" - Peter Griffin

  • I just see the thing &... my mind is full of fuck

  • what the hell is this!!!

  • its looks like a nice movie, the concept isn't that original though. 2LDK by director Yukihiko Tsutsumi did it a few years back. 2 people, one set. that one was a bit more gorey though.

  • Смотреть Фильм онлайн

  • Does the film have anything to do with the name of the iconic Southern Pacific passenger train "Sunset Limited.'?

  • a great movie.a good one

  • I loved every second of it!

  • just woudering if the WHOLE movie was filmed in ONLY ONE ROOM?!!! LOOKS CRAPPY

  • @mohammed1989d yeap, but worth watching.

  • The music playing in the second part of the video is perfect. Does anyone know the title?

  • there is only one god - me

  • DOES WILLIAM WALLACE LOOK LIKE A BITCH?

  • This movie goes deeper then anyone can understand. Movies are not about explosions or sex, their about character development.

  • I like Doritos.

  • what???? the only thing that happens in this movie is: these two guys talking, these two guys talking, these two guys talking, these two guys talking... oh and these two guys talking !

  • @dramawind well basically that happens in every film... words are extremely powerful, and people who say words differently from anyone else go down in history. If you see it as that, then maybe not watch films that put forth intriguing ideas

  • this movie was some Kindergarten Philosophy!!

  • @olger05 so edgy

  • @faunos51 what do you mean by edgy?

  • @olger05 whats advanced?

  • @makeitbe1 what i mean by it is that you have to be past this stage by the time you are 18.

  • @olger05 so basically forget about it

  • @makeitbe1 for get about what? life?

  • @olger05 no so i guess you move on from there, to what you got

  • @olger05 some might need to get broken, or move on but a lot of people don't even realize it and just live without success (a better state of mind), thats what i got from it

  • @makeitbe1 i agree with you

  • @olger05 thank you

  • This movie did not help my depression. At fucking all

  • @sethvicious You know why? Because this movie makes you face the truth. your depression isn't some disease, it's you accepting the reality everyone ignores. The reality that pain is the most common feeling in most people's lifes. Not physical pain, but emotional pain, in some form or another.

  • @vgman94

you didn't get the movie. pain is not the only thing, there is happiness too, cultural and artistic richness. the real thing that should bother you is the futility of it all.

  • @haudace I don't care about the futility of it all. Everything ends, but that's what makes it special. But when it ends prematurely due to childish feelings of nostalgia (White had his hobbies, which slowly changed into things he didn't like, and I have mine) or some corporation's decisions, the world starts to feel more empty. And like White, I am not one with many friends. I don't have many people to depend on, and those that I enjoy being around, I rarely see.

  • @sethvicious what you think about this: i believe that there is no god unless Allah, the unique God and Jesus is his Messenger not a god. Maybe that can help your depression :)

make a little recherche about this ,i think you will find what you looking for (the truth)

  • So, is this entire movie scene is in their apartment? If so, sort of a crazy movie.

  • AT LONG LAST this is coming out on DVD! I'll be pre-ordering!

  • Caught part of this movie while staying at a hotel in Michigan. Can't wait for the Feb 7, 2012 release of the DVD!!!!!

  • the way TLJ says 'i believe in a sunset limited' is so epic

  • OMG

  • Just watched this movie last night, god I fucking love it. The whole script, and screenplay was just perfect.

  • Really good movie, two acting masters and excellent dialogue.Great stuff.

  • @xDepthChargex I don't know. But the scene was so visceral, and it just reminded me of the countless times I've had this discussion with religious people, with their ridiculous arguments. Maybe it was just the spur of the moment angry comment. Please, be so kind as to enlighten me on the point of the movie - Like I'm a 6yr old.

  • @patientcures I never claimed my heart was stronger than White's. No, you have value to yourself and those around you. The only things without value here would be assumptions about each other.

  • malakia....

  • @patientcures Very much, and am working on solutions similar to White's in the movie, albeit mine are contingent on a specific date which I am Hopeful will solve my dilemmas without need of further intervention on my own part.

  • @TheAhmadbasheer If you could see your world for what it truly is, your lives for what they truly are, without dreams or illusions, I cannot see why you should not elect to die as soon as possible.

  • Everyone is obsessed recently with adapting Cormac McCarthy novels and rightly so- one of my favourite authors of all time :)

  • Felt like walking out of a really strong philosophy lecture. Nice work!

  • I'm in the UK - so I'd not heard that a movie had been made out of this book, because it wasn't promoted over here.

Having just read the book - this looks terribly over-produced and over-acted. The book states that it's set in the morning - so why is it so dark? That apartment is way too big. Music? Tell me there isn't music in the final production and that's just on the trailer.

The idea I had in my head of this was way more bleak and realistic than this nonsense.

  • @BPL1980 the movie is very dark with no music this is just the trailer. It's good as the play

  • @bezimeni2000

But, why is it dark? (I mean in terms of actual available light, not in terms of style and tone) if the play is set in the morning? We should see daylight in the apartment.

Two men addressing the daily business of wrestling with their roles in the world, like two men at the office.

The apartment is too big. That's bigger than my apartment! And I'm not in Hell's Kitchen!

  • @BPL1980 Must everyone be so picky? The movie is based off the played, it's not meant to be the EXACT play which would be difficult. The way it goes, setting it at night and going towards morning suits the movie better. The apartment is perfectly fine and helps their conversation along. Why must everyone nitpick every small thing?

  • I AM SO WATCHING THIS!@#:LKJSALDf

  • Very Bored One.Not A Movie,it's only Conversation

  • I could watch this film again and again. Cormac McCarthy is a damned genius. Tommy and Samuel play the roles perfectly to a tee!

  • I love this movie, but I have a question. This film deals with some very serious topics, suicide, religion, faith, existence. So why the hell did HBO use music in these ads and featurettes that you would describe as "kooky"?

  • two angry man

  • Has anyone watched it and now feels retarded for not understanding a damm thing?

  • @75353866

it scares me that i think in terms of the suicidal professor... except if i do decide to kill myself in the future (which I hope to god I won't come to), it would still be meaningless in the grand scheme of things hehehe.

  • @haudace (part 2) I also think in White's terms, but I also accept it. I am not scared of it, probably because I had these feelings before the movie came out. All this film did was put it into articulation. It gave it a shape and form, and words to express the blatant reality of this terrible world. There are some decent places out there, like Sweden, Denmark and others who are progressive. But in most of the world, the way things are, are mainly miserable.

  • I've watched the movie... 1:30 of religious stuff -_-

  • which one of them is a ghost? thistime.

  • A claustrophobic Waiting for Godot?

  • ignorance is truly bliss

  • is this shawshank redemption 2 ? red was here.

  • @priya10150 Go fuck Yourself!!

  • To all the Spammers trying to promote fillmsi.co.cc. - Please go Fuck yourselves!!!

  • @MrBrandonGibson it will be hard to find a candidate for this... but they 've got to have a giant dick for it and a few knowledge in weird gymnastics ... it's scientifically plausible

  • holly shit! all this comments with this fucking site are making me scary! it's like living in a zombie city... everyone infected!

  • @bobreis87 You and your third world language can fuck off back over the border and try that sentence again, but this time in English you shitcunt.

  • @TheEthug Its very easy to be so aggressive in the internet… I would like to see you say the exact thing just in front of me… And shut the fuck up about the way I write in English. I’m from Brazil. Before you say something about my English, try to write a sentence in Portuguese.

Stop being so ignorant and please, GET A FUCKING LIFE!

  • @bobreis87 AS I SAID!!!!! Fuck off de volta ao seu nigger terceiro mundo país e aprender a falar Inglês.

  • @TheEthug HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH nice try dumbass... and you were complaining about my english?!?

Well... now why don't you use again the Google Translator and try to find out what this mean?

  • @bobreis87 I'm sorry i don't speak poor, i cannot understand third world gibberish, there is far too much poverty in your paragraph, much like beggars I'm am going to ignore what i assume is your plea for financial aid, fuck off back you slum and shanty's and give the computer back to whoever you stole it off.

  • Guys religion is such a touchy thing... GOOD THING GOD ISN'T TANGIBLE! ;)

  • Life... You just gotta live it..

  • this is good it is so different form any other I've ever seen

  • Thanks soooo much! This movie isn't only for adults and drama people... You can get it on videocentral.co.cc... I'm 12 and I loved this movie since 10. I'm not one of those Justin Bieber Lover people, and I do not like Rob Pattinson because of Twilight; I love his emotional music.

  • i watched the film. Tommy Lee Jones's character tries to commit suicide by throwing himself in front of a train (the sunset limited) and is saved by Samuel L. Jackson. The movie begins after this incident, where Samuel is trying to convince Tommy not to continue with suicide and find a new solution to his life through converses about each other's lives. it has little to do with belief in God. that subject just gets brought up during the movie.

  • Black Snake Moan?

  • Amazing movie !

  • It's been almost half a year, WHERE is the DVD release for this? I've been waiting and waiting and still no news!

  • @hanshotfirst1138

  • there is a sunset limited in new york? i know there is amtrak train that is called the sunset limited. but it rides from new orleans to LA

  • 2 guys 1room !!!! real crapp

  • oo

    DC STAMP

  • To those who are atheist there will come a time that you will prove to yourself that all your beliefs was void and foolishness

  • @jirai19 Oh please give over. Your words won't change how we feel about faith. Just because we can think for ourselves and know you need evidence for something to exist.

  • @xBenzi Don't get me wrong, I don't believe in God too... But absence of evidence is NOT equal to evidence of absence... There are too many question to just pin your answers to science... Though I believe science is the most rational way to go these days ( but that can change and we do not know for this to be 100 procent true... )

  • @jirai19 If that time comes and I have to confront God, I will say, I made the decision of what I wanted to believe in for myself, and I did what I thought was right. If God can't accept that, then he is no God that I wan't to pray to.

  • a movie for christians,with poor philosophy

    crap movie

  • @gillesdeleuze1978

Is not for christians, I think is the contrary. And poor philosohy? uhmmm.. I think there is not philosophy, in the strict sense of the word

  • @jersahinsane

i mean, the arguments of the cast are very poor and stupid. If Tommy Lee Jones were a real atheist in the movie, this movie would not last more than 10 minutes

  • @gillesdeleuze1978 i don't follow what you mean, i believe im an atheist but I am willing to listen to what the theists have to say, granted a lot of them don't make any solid arguments and talking to them just reinforces my world view, but all the same we always have to be willing to listen, that is the difference between an atheist and theist, we are willing to listen to reason and the possible fallacy of what we hold to true, Without that atheism would be no different from religion

  • @youngpunter

Sure, but i can't see anything new in this movie. Always the same christian arguments, easy to discuss. BORED. the characters in the movie are very light and superficial

  • @jersahinsane

in brief, You don't have to believe in jesus, to be ethic and help others

  • @jersahinsane I dont wanna be a spoiler, but... did you see the final?

  • White wants to leave the appartment, and black has no choice but to follow his ass to make sure he doesn't kill himself. Hence the suit/coat.

  • 1:15 ommm... SUITS? i dont remember this in the movie

  • Looks weird!

  • Yeah, this is a great film.

  • These two actor movies were quite the thing back sometime in the eighties, it's a pity they never cast Will Smith in this one. Well, seeing as I ain't seen it yet, it's something to look forward to. No?

  • This movie drained the life out of me, cant tell if that was good or not.

  • What is the song at 0.41?

  • BORINGGGGGGGGGGG

  • Great movie. Great actors. Beautiful conversation with strong arguments from both sides. My final conclusion was that the Truth is somewhere in between.

  • The movie is about two men who converse. They speak of personal opinions of their beliefs. Tommy Lee Jones is atheist and Samuel L Jackson is a christian. The conversation is heated and the movie is excellent, so long as your educated and intrigued about life.

  • @omega17ds the worst part about move is that it makes u think that there's just two ways of choise... atheism (wrong one) or christian (right and the good one)...

  • OMFG IT WAS AWSOME!!! I am not a beliver but god damn it! both sides were AWSOME!! MUST SEE MOVIE!

  • I enjoyed this movie in a way I did not expect. It was very much like a stage production, one room, two characters and great dialogue. The discourse between the two characters was great, I thought Sam would come out on top. I was disappointed and wanted more at the end and I guess that was the point.

  • The movie is a masterpiece. It is all dialog driven with no action, but it is truly moving. The true action is in our minds, the words that they say... it's like you're reading a book, a really good book, and the outcome is fantastic.

    A total 10. Must see.

  • Great piece of work, kongo salutes you...
