Hey man I agree completely with you. I have always said since 2007 that Lil Wayne is GROSSLY overrated but people never listen. Nas is my favorite of all time and he deserves more recognition. Hey the generation is changing. You should watch Joe Budden's opinion in Hip Hop fans being Fickle on youtube I find it interesting.

i had low expectations comin into this album and honestly i think it's a whole alot better than carter III, for me, i hated that album, it was way to poppy, and on iv almost felt like he went back to the formula he did on tha carter II, don't get me wrong iv is nothin like II but like i said when i bought it and sat and listened front to back, i felt he was tryin to go back.cuz on II with fly in, carter II and fly out, he did the same thing as with intro, interlude and outro..good review

He always has a guitar in hand but dude can't even play...this review is unbiased and he did a good job, wayne;s albums that i digg..tha block is hot, 500 degreez, lights out, carter, carter II, and his mixtapes. I completely agree with you Greezy. the difference is that thank me later had a bit more quality rap wise. Carter 4 sounded like the same on every track with no versatility. The overuse of delayed metaphors get really annoying if you listen to rap for lyrics. Even if i only cared about beats i cant see how people can overlook the boring flow he has on this LP. I dont expect Common like subject matter but lil wayne's flow is too familiar for me to like song after song.

Album was decent for what it is. Pop rap. Wayne talks about nothing, but talks about nothing pretty damn well. Not near a classic, a good, forgettable album and im 14 and really in2 lyricsm and i kind oof ppick apart hip hop, and this delad metaphor shit, it drives me crazy, jayz and eminem and other real rappers can use great metaphors with out the delay shit. Now we have good artists cheated on because people only download the music for free. And then you have others make it big because of who they are associated with and not their music quality. I just think that now awards and album sales have diminished as a way to grade how good a rapper is doing.
